  2. It is a street car that like lots of other people on the board take to the track. That has nothing to do with the fact they left out an important part.

  6. 325/50/15 bfgoodrich drag radials I'm learning how to launch the car. If I give it too much it just spins.
  7. This was from this last friday night. I was the best pass I had. On the big all night my bov's keep releasing. I didn't know if it was tire spin or what. The boost was in and out. It was the last friday racing of the year. I have a couple of sundays that I will be able to run again. I was launching with the brake and about 2-3 psi.   8. If it is going to be a weekend car. If you have to have a cobra. Get a 99 or 01 and then build it to your liking. There's is no need to get the 03,04 one and then have to replace the pistons. Most people change to a different power adder also. This is a cheaper way and can have alot more money for mods. It would be even cheaper to start with agt and build it. My gt makes more power than alot of cobras.

  12. My Dad wants to buy some property and his vette has to go. He has had it almost 2 years and has only put just under 5000 miles on it. Well, my mom was doing most of the driving. He paid $65000 for it. He is asking $46500 for it. I would love to have it myself but I just can't let go of my 700hp Mustang. This is about 9:15 this morning when I got to the track. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/y2k2gt/100_0658.jpg This is around 11am just before time trial. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/y2k2gt/100_0661.jpg This is my only time trial and I ran it just like it was yesturday, but I didn't let off untill the finish line. The best mph in the 1/8 befoer this was 105mph. 7.26@107.68 1/8 and 10.98@131.66 1.96 60' This was at 11:09. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/y2k2gt/th_100_0666.jpg This is my first race at 2:12. I drop the tire pressure to 12psi and turned the boost up a little. I turned the strange rear shocks to 0. I dialed in a 11.0 knowing I could go quicker. The other guy dialed in a 14.0. I catch him at the 1000' and he looks over at me kinda funny like he thought he had a really bad light. I slow down to just stay in front of him and win with a 11.60@96.6. He should have stayed in it because he cut a .064 to my .116. My 1/8 was a 7.35@108.34 with a 2.04 60' new best mph in the 1/8. I shifted to 2nd at 7000rpm and to 3rd at 6500rpm. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/y2k2gt/th_100_0672.jpg The 2nd race at 3:43 the other guy dialed in a 13.52 to my 11.0. He fouled and I was yea I get another time trial. I tried launching with boost again and spun badly getting a 2.23 60'. I ran 7.69@107.42 and 11.40@132.27 new best 1/4 mph. The other driver which was a girl dialed in a 11.28 to my again 11.0. I caught her at the 1/8 and thought I might win. When I crossed the line her light came on. I was listening to the race on my radio and they said dual break out. I was thinking how would that happen I was out of the throttle and then back on it right at the end. She ran a 11.273 to my 10.928@125.13.   15. I was scared of my car today. It just pulls so hard now I was letting off on the big end. The last pass I let off about 100' before the finish line. I also have cobra brakes up front and stock size in the rear. I is scary trying to slow down from 130mph with the skinnies up front. I just think I'm going to lock them up. It was a fun time being back at the track. My new fuel system is at 70% duty cycle with 18psi, so I have alot of room for more power. I just have to relearn how to drive it. I can't get it to hook up launching with any boost. It just spins.     NMRA Columbus

    I will be at the nmra tomorrow. I'm running in the wild street class. I had the lowest 11 sec average last year. My engine was just rebuilt 2 weeks ago and I just got it back from my tuner last night with the upgraded fuel system.

  19. With only 16psi through a C4 tranny.
  20. Turbos= no belt issues and more power
  21. Both valve covers, power steering pump, front cover. The timing chain on the passenger side will click when turning the engine over by hand. When the engine is running the oil pressure keeps it tight.
