  1. I'm not using a dry nitrous system.... so I can probably use stock injectors and be ok because my N2O mixes the fuel in and not the injectors.... does this sound right?
  2. remember, your car might not be slowing down... you might be getting used to the power so you're thinking that it's slowing down. as far as performance on that car... do an LT1 swap... you can normallly get everything you need for the swwap for around a grand if you do some shopping online for it.... I found my buddy's setup on Ebay.
  3. ok, I think it's time to drive it off a cliff...... I swapped out both O2's..... (right side had a slit down the middle of one of the wires, and the left side was burnt all the way through.... after replacing the, it's running a little better, but the right side is still running lean....(about .4 or .5 no matter what throttle... looks like the only thing it could be would be injectors.... I'm gonna switch them around tonight or tomorrow.... man, those are only about a year old!
  4. I did... I even pulled them off the fuel rail... didn't seem to help... yes, they are new injectors, but I've had them on my car all season, so why would they start acting up now? Yup, did that last year
  5. it never did it before.... it just started after I blew a few header bolts off of my head and got an exhast leak... I fixed it when I got home.... But that happened on the oposite side that I'm having problems with.
  6. I was gonna try that, but my A/F gauge is tapped into the drivers side O2 so I will have to cut the line in order to do that... I'd like to avoid doing that.
  7. Ok, my right bank is running EXTREMELY lean.. I tested my fuel preasure, no vaccuum leaks, injectors are programmed correctly... the fuel pump primes and works fine... The only thing I can think of that's left is the o2's..... any other ideas? The right bank O2's are reading .1 which is BAAAAAAAADDDDD
  8. I've heard bad things about ZEX.... but to each their own... I have an NX kit, and I know allot of people with NX kits..... NX is one of the best on the market..... I would go with either that, or NOS, but personally, myself, NOS = Fast and the Furious assholes..... on the shot, start out on a 35, then maybe try a 50.... rule of thumb I heard was you can be safe with 20 shot per cyl.
  9. I have the same setup as Joe.... it's very streetable..... the cam specs are 230 / 244, .544 / .576 112 LSA with 1.6
  10. awsome, thanks man! Sam, if you see this... MMMMMAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLl
  11. Glen, any chance I can get a copy of that program? I can't get mine tuned right..... (getting allot of knock and pulling timing on the top end.)
  12. with the proper tunning it can be streetable... it's just getting there with the tuning that's the hard part. I've been fighting with my tuning for months now. (I am a total amerature with tuning though) It's totally streetable now, but it's a gas hog, and not tuned too well cause it's pulling all sorts of timing on the top end. If you have a '95, I can help ya out with tuning, if it's an earlier year, there are a few guys on COFBA that might be able to help ya out there. check out www.cofba.org
  13. I love my CC306 setup.... deffiantely go that route.. although having a blower is pretty cool. how many miles do you have on your car? I know that having a blower is hard on the stock bottom end, but doesn't require you to tear the motor apart. If you get your heads ported, MAKE SURE to go somewhere that they know what they are doing... I had to tear my heads off 3 times because the place I got my heads ported at didn't account for the increased lift on my cam. But, LT4 heads are deffinately better flowing heads even if you don't port them, but I would stay away from the LT4 hotcam. I agree that 425 is quite optomistic for that small of a cam. but that package isn't bad since it includes the rockers and such.. one other thing to keep in mind, an LT4 intake is only a powder coated port matched LT1 intake, so don't bother spending the money, just have yours ported. honestly, I think you'd be very happy with ported heads, 1.6 rockers and a CC306 cam.... another good thing, the 306 cam is N2O friendly If you want to discuss it further, hit me up on IM or something, I'd be more than happy to discuss with you about it.
  14. haha.. sweet, I was a little concerned about towing... and being able to haul some stuff. cutting rivots could be interesting, but if it happens, then I'll cross that bridge...
  15. ya, it's a 4.3 the ball joints, how hard are they to replace if they do go out?
  16. I'm thinking about picking one up. It's cheap, but I was woundering what kind of problems they have etc.... any input would be cool. Thanks!
  17. reading excel spreadsheets OWN ME! I have the logs if you need want to look at them, tell me where to send them. [ 21. August 2003, 04:42 PM: Message edited by: YMN ]
  18. Ok, I'll try to do that this weekend.
  19. haha... is that for all the times you've asked me a question and I've told you just to kick it?
  20. doesn't work like that man... you have to adjust the fuel tables..... if you don't know what you're doing, that could become a VERY bad thing.
  21. Anyone good with tuning? I need help bad! My plugs look like I just sat them in gas..... the cheaper the better, but make sure you know what you're doing. HELP!
  22. no, you can't... have in mind... high temp calaper paint only.... when it dried... it became allot glossier and it looks fine now. Thanks for the replies!
  23. they are nitorious for the 2nd gear syncro to go south. Deffinately check out the transfer case...... have someone watch you outside the car... and get on it... if the turbo spools and smoke comes out the back.. that's a bad thing.... just the normal stuff.
