  1. I'm in although with Mark going... I might have to pass tongue.gif j/k
  2. I don't think that rebuilding the site is the best idea.... the trouble makers will still re-register and the problem will still exist. I know that this has been the toughest CR Winter since I've been on, but I guess I didn't realize it was that bad. I have seen allot of "elist groups" comming out of CR which I think is wrong, but even that isn't that big of a deal IMO. Admins / MODS, can you guys give us examples of what caused this board to be shut down temporarily? On a side note, does this mean that "The Spot" is being shut down until CR re-opens?
  3. put the kit on yourself man, then just get it painted... save yourself some money.
  4. I need help getting all the sand out of my intake if you really want something to do... it's a very itchey process that I'd be more than happy to hand off to someone else tongue.gif
  5. that's good advice... I didn't think of that! I'll give it a shot. Thanks!
  6. haha.. I didn't wanna start the whole momma thing, so I decided sister...
  7. Ya, your sister gave it to me.. she said she found it in your room tongue.gifsmile.gif
  8. ok, now I know why you drive a Imprezza tongue.gif Isn't one of them never running right?
  9. ok, when my intake was powdercoated, the guy didn't get all the sand out of it. I already preasure washed it and that didn't help... it just ended up scratching the top of the intake up. (those little buggers take off with preasure washing) anyways... I can still see some sand in there... I spent most of the night using my air compressor to try to blow the sand out... now I'm itching like crazy, but I still know there is more sand in there.... what do you suggest?
  10. low compression is typically a head gasket.... your motor has awfully low miles to need a bottom end. heck, it's low miles for a head gasket also... but my bet is more on a headgasket than bottom end... pull the heads off and go from there.
  11. what kind of smoke is it? Are you sure it needs the bottom end rebuild? it could be allot of things.... the top end of the LS1's aren't hard to rebuild... but make sure to pick up some ARP head bolts... that torque to yeild crap SUX!
  12. We saw it sunday night and both didn't like it. It was an ok movie, but was a one time only kinda movie... If you were to see it again, then you know the whole plot, so it would be ruined.... On a side note, the movie did seem to have quite a bit of hot chicks and some freaking nekkid bitches in it which made it enjoyable tongue.gif
  13. Then why is he getting the low trac light?
  14. mine did the same thing, turned out that the traction control plug wasn't plugged in. over top of the drivers side valve cover, you'll see your traction control unit... look behind it and make sure that it's plugged in. Hope it's that easy for ya smile.gif
  15. like in the other post I posted when you made a comment about this, it deffinately sounds like fluid. If you're accelerating, or turning or breaking, the fluid goes to one side of the break fluid canaster causing the senson that's in the middle to go off saying that you're low on fluid. There is no seperate canaster for your parking break, so just fill the normal break canaster tongue.gif
  16. Slomotion motorsports does intercooler piping also. they do great work and they are a startup company, so they give great prices. you might want to hit them up. PM me and I'll get you the contact info of one of the owners.
  17. I posted on exactly how to do it... it's not hard.... no way would I do it for him cause well... I don't want to... but I gave him pretty good directions I think.... now he knows how to do it... time to move on to the next topic.
  18. if you wanna sell it, I might be interested.... a spare motor would be a good investment with my luck... Let me know.
  19. you can either zip tie or drill small holes (smaller than the screws that come with the mounting kit) and then use the self taping screws to mount it to the under carriage... OR, I would highly suggest getting bolts, and then using a washer and nut to hold them up that way giving it a little extra added strength.... make sure to mount it on a flat area that is hidden (if it isn't flat, when tightening it, you can bend or break the bulb) That is very important.... those tubes are expensive... other than that, just run a power to your battery and then run a switch through the firewall... it's really not that hard, the hardest part is figuring out where to mount it and getting the car up in the air.
  20. it took me and John Roughly 6 hours to do the install on my car... but we spanned it over a few weeks.... (I have all the safety equiptment and you can't even tell I have N2O (besides the bottle in the back) I would deffinately recomend going with a wet kit (because we don't want your injectors going max duty cycle or anything). Word to the wise... get the Gen X2 kit... it costs more, but it can save your ass. With a good setup, you might be able to even hit high 13's on the spray.... (wouldn't that be something) just out of curiosity, what else do you have done to your car? I have a buddy with a 3.4 and we've done some fairly cheap mod's to his car, and it runs pretty good... (home made CAI kit, cat back, LT1 drive shaft....) If you want help with the install let me know.... on a side note, I haven't heard anything bad about the 3.4's as far as reliability, they are just slow... Sean's has like 160k on it or something and still runs great.
  21. I might have to try it out if the injector swap fixes my leaning problem.
