  1. everyone uses a cavalier and sunfire, parts are all over at pick and pull and the like. So repair is easy, and cheap. If you do it right for about 2k you can get everything you need to be rolling. But that is buying everything for the right price and doing everything yourself.
  2. didnt you have these for sale a while back and mark them sold? maybe im thinking of someone else
  3. You can find a used CMS compact car for 1500-2000, tires are around 380 for a set. Figure on going through 4-6 tires. The right front tire mainly will be the only one to replace. Most of those cars go through rear wheel bearings like its the cars job. Overall its not TOO expensive. Each weekend I used to spend about 100 bucks getting me and the wife through the gate and gas to and from the track. If you dont break or damage anything its a pretty fun and cheap hobby but I estimated to run full season at CMS around 5-800 bucks after the car and initial tire purchase. Most everyone builds cavliers/sunfires. I my self will build a 2.0 gti next if I do a car.
  4. yeah i just did a 4l60e and had to removed the transfer case obvioulsy, it was on an 04 z71 tahoe. Was not too bad at all.
  5. Yeah but they should be honest, its meant to be a budget competitive class. They mill the heads, different cam, tune, weld steel through rear beam to aid suspension rigidity, etc... Really the rules are simple, stock motor, automatic, single cam max 2 valve per cylinder. only camber mods to right front wheel. Alot is in the suspension and air pressures, getting the right amount of coils cut from springs, spring rubbers, brakes its super fun and would do it again, but its just so hard to justify how easy the car can get totaled out there.
  6. Raced crazy compact for 2 years, it was a blast but a ton of work. Especially if you wanna race each weekend. People out there are idiots and wreck you alot! It gets expensive also. Time you buy your nascar license,a couple sets of hoosiers over the season, buy a car and do all the safety stuff to it. But all in all it was a blast, just hard to be competitive with all the cheaters sometimes
  7. haha was it a malibu/chevelle?

  12. Well lots of progress has been made but much of it is just alot of minor stuff not worthy of photographing. My wiring skills are shit but for me I am proud of some of the stuff I have been working on. I wired the fuel pumps and the cut off switch along with mounting the yellow top. The fuel pump relay is a leash board and is pretty sweet looking. Made the plug wires and got them routed to the remote mount coil packs I now have power to the cockpit and all the exterior lights. Time to start wiring the gauges, 3 step, trans brake and boost controller. At this point depending on my mood and free time I would hope to have it ready for a tune here in a couple weeks. Some pics of the trunk wiring and then a layout idea of a control board I want to make to put between the trans tunnel and the dash for ease of adjustments and lack of another place to put it and make it look clean. going to do some measurements in the morning and cut that abs plastic to fit the best I can http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_0354.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_0356.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_0357.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_0355.jpg

  15. in the end the grand jury will get the case and decide whether or not to indict the man. I have no bias but as the saying goes Id rather by judged by twelve than carried by six.

  17. yup thats them, but a magnet in my garage somewhere from them, I got a off the hip price to do a panel or a part and it was super pricey
