Check out this car at half track. He darn near stalls it off the line and runs 10.4x. This is another car that most of us should avoid from a roll.

Now that fellas is a turbo - wow.

I hate to say it but when I stopped by at about 11:30 I was thinking "There is no way they are going to allow this many people to just 'hang out'". I could not believe how many cars were there. It was my first trip out east. If that many people get together the police will break it up every time - that many people+fast cars+late night = trouble somewhere. The police know this and will do what they can to break it up. Your only chance is to do it in smaller groups or on private property.

Yeah, I've seen some sick short times out of the IRS's, believe it or not. I've read that if you get wheel hop, let off the gas, as that's what breaks halfshafts. I really don't plan on beating on this one as much as I had beat on my Formula...

Kevin (Trackbird) told me his buddy has an 03 that he was cutting 1.6X 60s on the stock IRS - he has swapped it with his friends 8.8 out of a GT now though.

I'll need the driver mod - you, as well as anyone, know that my car should run low 12s on D/Rs. I think I am going to run street tires and a bad clutch 1 more year. Ford rearend > GM rear end. Can't wait to see it and go for a ride!

Sorry to hear they gave you the run around. I have bought a lot of stuff from them in the past - no issues. Were always very professional and delivered on time.

The best part is most if not all of the work was done in your garage. It is a lot to be proud of - can't wait to see it up and running again. I finished putting mine all back together tonight - can't wait for the weather to break. The insurance went back on it today.

Looks good Casey, you install any sub frame connectors yet?? If not that would really tighten up the feel even more.

 

Yep - one of my favorite mods. Actually as I put the list together I realized I have a lot more into to it than I thought. I have a lot of money and effort in the car that cannot be seen. I am very proud of the fact that everything was installed in my garage. I had a lot of help from club members but I have done a lot of the mods on my own. I am not taking anything away from those who pay someone else to do it - I am just proud that I got my hands dirty on my car.

And it is only slow because I am driving it -

Trans Am - 450 HP

Suburban - 285 HP

Grand Prix - 210 HP

 

945 HP - woot!

I had it painted to match the car. They are black stock.

 

As far as the springs are concerned I just got the car running today but ran it quite a bit and I am REALLY impressed. They feel softer than stock somehow but the car is much more controlled. By the end of the year I will replace the shocks to compliment the springs but the funds are not there for now. They really should be done at the same time but you all know how it goes.
