  1. That was the plan but if this works it is easier
  2. I will be getting my car out of storage here in the next few weeks to get it ready for spring. I was told on the first start up I could press the clutch and accelerator to the floor and the starter will spin the engine to build oil pressure but won't start. It sounds like a good idea to prevent a "dry" start but does that really work?
  3. Congrats - it is a big step and a great long term investment.
  4. They go for about $2k for the Camaro. I have been tempted a couple of times but that is a lot of cash to replace something that works well enough.
  5. Gosh I love the Recaros in both cars.
  6. They moved the cup holder so you don't spill your big gulp while shifting
  7. The V8 1LE will outrun the GT350 - there are multiple GM interviews and they are confident they have it covered. The guys talking have seen the performance of the GT350. The GT350R will be quicker. It will be fun to watch.

  9. Wheels are clearly a matter of choice but I prefer the stockers? Nest car though - great DD.
  10. For those of you too lazy to click the link: http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160210/0d45c86313700a917145e8c0cc54bd7b.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160210/a2f33a8b5b61677fabfef5f433399ba8.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160210/8b072aa5a194b1d900ebb9b3f096fd98.jpg
  11. The business case for the V6 would be interesting to review - I will bet a V6 1LE will crowd the V8 SS price.
  12. Why is that funny? It weighs < 3500 pounds, will have better weight distribution, and has 335 HP. I think it is great they are offering it. (No I wouldn't buy a V6 pony car but someone might )
  13. I pulled the numbers right from the MT article which compared a Camaro SS with a Mustang GT and listed the weights. What am I missing? The Camaro does not have a stripper model with the V8. How are these numbers not representative? The V6 is another 200 pounds lighter.
  14. Not to nitpick but (from the article linked): 3,825 minus 3,672 = 152 pounds lighter, not 100 pounds.
  15. Are they really that heavy? I thought the wheels I just bought were heavy and even the rears at 20x11 are only 29.5 pounds.
  16. On to 2016! Go Steelers!
  17. For those of you that say "I hate the Mustang styling but love the Camaro or, more commonly, I hate the Camaro but love the Mustang styling, I thought this was interesting: http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160208/c1c4b018bb014da4340c7b460da1f594.jpg
  18. The 6th gen Camaro does not have a model to compete with the GT350..... yet. Hence the Corvette comparison.
  19. ^When Ford builds a 56k+ 2 seat Mustang to be road raced and it is matched against the Corvette the test is "unfair". I love the GT350 but it would be tough for me to pull the trigger when it is crowding Corvette pricing. As far as resale, the Corvette is a good play as well - it may not hold quite as much value as the Mustang if Ford keeps the exclusivity it has promised but "half" is laughable.
  20. It's winter, I have time to consider these things . It will be forgotten in the spring.
  21. I am kicking myself a bit for not throwing my CTSv in storage and pulling the LS6 and drive train for something fun some time in the future. I just did not have the space for it to make sense and I had an irrational attachment to it which prevented me from tearing it apart.
