  1. I priced out a 16 Camaro 1SS with no options for 38k. I just know I would want leather, heated seats, blah blah blah and then it is suddenly 48k for the 2SS. My 2011 will have to do for a while.
  2. You can get one for < 40k but it would be the "1SS" package - dealers generally load up on the "2SS" with all of the options. The "stripper" 1SS will be hard to find at least initially.
  3. I would like to say "auto LOL" but I cannot bring myself to do it
  4. When you are talking 700 plus horses there are far more important factors than 100-200 pounds.
  5. Oh I do too, but I would not mind having one of these. I happen to know a person that has a 1978 Trans Am with 20k miles, all original and unrestored just sitting in her garage. Unfortunately it is gold and an auto.
  6. Raises hand on "who still likes late 70s early 80s Trans Ams"

  8. I miss driving my Camaro but am glad it can sit in storage under a cover through this stuff. The Suburban is way more fun in this stuff
  9. Congrats man - sounds like a good move. I hate to lose you as a trusted source on my LS-based vehicles but I am very happy for you.
  10. In all honesty, as a Steelers and OSU fan, I Was disappointed with Shazier's celebration while the player was down. I am really surprised we are talking about dirty hits by Steelers players and not mentioning Mitchell or Harrison. I would have expected controversy around them not Shazier. But back to the play - if it was not a penalty (no flag was thrown) it should have been a TD. For those of you who think the refs were "pro-Steelers" why was that not called a TD. One more thing, Burfict took the interception he made, ran 80 yards and out the tunnel - no flag. Why? I am thankful for a W but truly hated to get it that way.
  11. It should have been a TD but we'll just agree to disagree.
  12. Really? It coundlt be for, I don't know, Ryan Shazier's best game as a pro and Jarvis Jones' biggest play of his career? In order to win, our LBs had to play by far their best game - they did. They pitched a shut out for 3 quarters on the road. Who to thank? Joey Porter. You cannot possibly believe they gave him a game ball for instigating a penalty. You are blinded by your disappointment. Give it a few months then maybe revisit the situation.
  13. I admittedly do not drive my cars that hard but I drove my CTSv for over 2 years with no issues on the rear end.
  14. Personally there is not enough difference in them to disqualify one or the other - pick the nicest 04-07 in my opinion. The rear diff is only a problem if you launch it hard and get axle hop. The 04/05 rear end is weak, the 06/07 stronger but still prone to detonation if you abuse it.
  15. 04-05 CTSv is LS6 06-07 CTSv is LS2 They are rated very similarly but are pretty different animals. There are supporters / detractors on both sides. There is no argument that the differential was stronger on 06 and 07 cars but many 04 and 05 have been upgraded. That is about it!
  16. On another note, I considered the Challenger and agree it is a "more comfortable" cruiser but it did not feel "special" in any way from behind the wheel. The Camaro does - I cannot really explain that. I suppose how low it sits and the chopped Windows that hurt visibility gives it that unique feel. You sit upright in the Challenger and in the Mustang too. In the Camaro you kind of lean back - I like that, but it is my extra, fun car not my DD.
  17. I daily'd the crap out of my 05 CTSv and loved it - I miss it every day. That being said most of them I looked at needed motor mounts and several of the bushings replaced. Cadillac wanted a firm but still luxurious ride and the rubber bushings just give out. I would say I paid about 750.00 over the few years I owned it fixing those. Of course many have probably been done as well and you could save a bunch if you do it yourself. Mine felt new afterwards. I have a 2011 Camaro SS/RS Conertible now and in my opinion it is not a great daily. It will do it of course but it is the visability for me that makes it less than ideal. Being a convertible it is no issue with the top down . I will say it rides really well, handles great, is comfortable (for front seat), and fast. I will also say they are known to be very reliable. I think the criticism of the interior is overblown as I think it is a nice place to spend some time but it is clearly not a luxury car or BMW. Clay - you can drive mine anytime you want once the winter breaks.
  18. Don't miss the fact that the second personal foul made the FG easier but the first put them in FG range anyways. Additionally, they still had 22 seconds and it was 1st down so the Steelers could have gotten closer without the penalty. The second penalty did not, in itself, change the outcome. Besides, last I checked, the Steelers drove from their own 9 to the Bengals 47 without any help from penalties, including converting a 4th and 3.
  19. ...cheating ass refs... Really? I understand you are ticked by the outcome but you cannot actually believe the refs wanted the Steelers to win.
  20. Anyone who questions whether that should have been called is an idiot. I am looking at you Marvin Lewis. Now, I will not argue that the Shazier hit should have been called a personal foul, it should have been. That being said, there is no comparison between the 2.
  21. I like it but it would look so much better if he dropped a roof a few inches.
  22. The Bengals had a 1 point lead, the ball, the first down, less than 2 mins left, inside the Steelers 30, and lost????
  23. I am still in shock...how did that even happen?
  24. I am probably just a homer I just cannot see them losing 3 games next year - even with the players they lost. They just have more talent across the board than almost any team they will play and have an experienced dual threat QB. I think they lose to Oklahomo and maybe one other to MSU or Michigan.
