  1. I got an Innovate XD16 with a LC1 wideband. Hooked it up and the gauge was going crazy switching between AFR display and Lambda. I hit the cal button on the XD16 3 times to initiate a calibration and let that run through, now all it reads is alternating between 20.8 and o2. I'm assuming this is normal, but will it revert to AFR once I fire the car up? There isn't much info in the manual otherwise.
  2. Check your local thrift and goodwill stores also.
  3. Our hoover knockoff must be a decent one then. It rivals the Dyson's suction power in my eyes and just picks up better. Has the same canister type, can be basically dismantled easily save for the brush wheel and IMHO works better. I'm just comparing what we spent on the Hoover vs. what we spent on the Dyson and if it were up to me, I'd never buy another Dyson again.
  4. random misfire flashes the MIL, I think a consistent misfire lights the MIL and throws a code.
  5. Is it stock? I'd check for broken valve springs too.
  6. I must be the only Dyson hater here. We're on our 2nd or 3rd now and I think they are WAY overpriced. First two flat crapped out but luckily were within their return window. We also have a Hoover bagless and IMHO, it works easily as well as the Dyson and cost like $50.
  7. Lol, I use an old factory radio and old PC power supply. Price? FREE instead of tossing them in the trash.
  8. If you find someone around here, let me know. I'll do the same. I'm looking to get a pad poured and haven't gotten one good recommendation locally yet.
  9. as long as he puts it on backwards, it's got another 1/2 to wear.
  10. I used bedliner on the undercarriage of an old car to cover rust. Worked well, then I sold it.
  11. that's what she said?
  12. I tried that, makes me "black out" but when I wake up I feel like i'm right where I left off and I didn't sleep.
  13. Harbor Freight masks are shit. They don't go dark enough, fail often and are just overall junk. I have one, and I typically end up using a fixed shade/flip up style instead. The HF one is good if all you need to do is tack weld where you could get it done by closing your eyes and looking away, but otherwise if you weld any at all, get a real mask.
  14. I have greens I use when welding. http://wpecdn.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/400x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/i/m/image_59217.jpg
  15. I have one of the ELM327's if you wanna try that. I'd let it go cheap, new in package, I never used it since I ended up with EFI Live scan & tune.

It does record sound, but it isn't very good so I just shut it off. I never messed with it to see if it could be adjusted or not. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umcjM88QW9g&feature=g-upl

  19. This ^ I have the same issue where I start thinking about things or thinking of what I could be doing instead of laying there. Usually ends up keeping me awake most of the night. My doctor told me to "just start on some of those things until I get tired" but I also hate to leave projects unfinished so I end up working on them all night and still not sleeping. The only thing that has worked for me is to basically bore myself to sleep by going to bed early and leaving anything and everything that could entertain or distract me as far from my reach as possible. I just lay there until my mind finally gives up and I fall asleep.

sold http://www.aemelectronics.com/wideband-air-fuel-gauge-8-5-to-18-1afr-with-analog-face-770 Wideband Air/Fuel Gauge 8.5 to 18:1AFR with Analog Face AEM Part Number 30-5130 Now the disclosure: I have no idea if this works or not. I put it in my car and got erratic readings so I contacted AEM. I ran through their test procedure and it works fine per their test procedures. Here's what I did: I pulled the sensor from the exhaust and powered it up, which pegged the gauge full lean as expected. Wrapped the sensor in a rag doused with gasoline and it pegged at full rich and remained there as expected. They say if it's "bad" then the gauge will go full rich for a short period then peg full lean again while in the gas soaked rag because it "stops reading". The other thing I did was hook it up to my garden tractor quickly and placed the sensor near the exhaust stream and it read around 13.5 afr so it appears to work but I haven't a clue since I have nothing to compare it to. AEM insists it's a "wiring issue, probably a bad ground". I already ordered a new Innovate so i'm not going to bother putting this back in or mess with it any further. The one plus to this unit is the low cost of the wideband sensors. They can be had new from Advance for around $40 which includes a 1 year warranty, it's a simple Bosch 17018 sensor. $75 or best offer, no returns/refunds
