If you bitch enough you can get it replaced though it's VERY difficult without insurance. I argued with the local postmaster over a damaged box and they replaced the item without insurance. My argument was, "Why should I have to pay extra for you to do your job properly" and it worked.

True, but many "electricians" overcharge for simple work. If they wouldn't charge so much, people would be more likely to get it done instead of risking it themselves. That said, do it yourself. It's not that hard.

How many companies have been run into the ground by the unions unwillingness to cooperate? Domestic steel is one of them. Many of those guys were paid 20-30+ an hour to push buttons and when asked to take concessions, they refused. Now look at the steel industry, it's all but nonexistent.
