  1. I had high hopes for my scat pack and Chrysler’s rep for terrible quality. I was disappointed after I had the radiator replaced, and was advised the trans and maybe rear would need rebuilt or replaced also. All this at under 30k miles, so I traded it in. It was fun as hell though and maybe I just didn’t drive it enough?
  2. Depends on “bargain”. I’m cheaper than you think. :gabe: The i3 enough cpu?
  3. I have no problem adding my own parts, but with the ‘tard gpu prices lately I was hoping to save a bit of coin sticking to a ddr3 based rig. I have a few ssds laying around and ddr3 is easier sourced than 4, that way the sting of an ok gpu wouldn’t be as bad. I was thinking prebuilt solely for the ease and win10 license out the door. Pop in ram, ssd and my own gpu and hope for the best. Luckily they’ll get hand me down 1280x1024 square monitors so no 1080p needed.
  4. Need advice, haven’t built a system since before the i7 2600k was king, so I’m seriously out of the loop. I’ve never been a gpu guy either and the craziest I had back when was a pair of 9800gx2’s in sli. Santa picked up a dell laptop for my daughter for Christmas to do basic school work so I grabbed the 150ish Black Friday special, added an 8gb stick of ram plus ssd myself and it was good enough. My son got handed down her old asus zenbook which also got the same 8gb stick and ssd treatment so all was fine, until they wanted to game. Daughter plays sims4 which seems ok but is choppy I’m guessing due to onboard hd graphics or just the shit cpu. Son decides he wants to play scrap mechanic which I assume is Minecraft and anything can run it. Nope. It’s unplayable on the zenbook which is pretty stout aside from no gpu. Rather than try to limp these along, they likely need replaced but a gaming system is not my forte. I was hoping to pick up a capable pair of laptops so they can’t fight over who got better but the requirements for scrap mechanic are absurd. Wondering if anyone has insight on a $300ish laptop than can handle it or a pre-built tower low cost I can pick up (and add a gpu if need be) that isn’t gonna break the bank for a dumbass game. I was advised on another forum to look into the ryzen 3 2200g but building a system around that would likely run $400+ and at that I could get an old off lease i5 and toss in a decent gpu for likely less.
  5. Georgia is nice, I also like Carolina.
  6. I’m in the minority, I’ll try anything but I’ll never wear a pair of redwings again.
  7. Never got to TA:K much, but I wasted so many hours on TEN network.
  8. Total annihilation was its own game, followed by the supreme commander series.
  9. This.... I have no problem paying more for security at school but many others don’t feel that same sentiment.
  10. LS swap it. Move out to robinson or moon where it’s flatter.
  11. Ask the propane fillers. They would have to know as well, if they can’t/won’t swap.
  12. Ahh I think I get ya. I just used magnet mount rifle separators instead of the included ones so I could vary their placement to my liking. Like these
  13. Get a shed in the mean time till your toy space barn is up.
  14. Got a propane exchange place local? I take mine there and swap with them.
  15. Pics? Details? I’m always open to other suggestions.
  16. Depends. I have more than 18 in my cabelas cabinet but I didn’t use the included rifle holders. If you pack em in, it can be filled to the described amount, but it ain’t pretty.
  17. Get a cabelas gun cabinet. I have this. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/cannon-super-wide-body-80-gun-fire-safe And this. http://www.cabelas.com/product/shooting/gun-storage/gun-cabinets-racks/pc/104792580/c/104730480/sc/104367780/stack-on-gun-cabinet/708670.uts?slotId=1 The cabelas is just fine for keeping kids out.
  18. I wasn’t doubting that, I was just saying pellet stoves aren’t as good as people were lead to believe.
  19. My FIL had a pellet stove, he ripped it out and put in a gas heater.
  20. Power and hardware ain’t free
  21. Ever consider an infrared scan of your home? With cameras as cheap as they are now, that’s a great way to see where your heat loss is. I used to do them all the time but with the cost of cameras being so low, it isn’t profitable anymore. If you need any advice though, feel free to let me know.
