  1. cop shoots himself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDfNV9bJoSg&feature=related these cops can't shoot this is sad really
  2. +1000 i think its embarassing that cops qualify at 20 feet or what ever it is when i can hit the same target at 50 ft.
  3. if i wake up in time i'll be at jegs.
  4. your exact quote so stop trying to change your statement. and since you say MOST of us don't have any reading comprehension lets work on that. "most American cars are pigs, and don't even deserve a second look because of how useless they (they-meaning the american cars) are when a corner approaches." i don't see anything in there about people let alone CR members. and nothing on straight line only. you lose i win move on.

(100% stock with crap tires) My brother pulled a 59.8 with his Toyota MR2. (100% stock with performance tires) But look at this Cobalt SS 0-60 mph: 6.0s 1/4 mile, sec @ MPH: 14.5 @ 98.2 Braking, 60-0 mph, ft: 115 200 ft skidpad, avg G: 0.89 600 ft slalom, mph: 69.0 Here are some other cars for comparison (From MotorTrends). Park it next to the Miata and only the president of the local Miata Club will notice the Mazda. Second, it performs well, running zero to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds and the quarter-mile in 15.8 seconds at 87 mph. The Miata, which is smaller, lighter and geared shorter, is only slightly quicker. It hits 60 mph in 7.5 seconds and sprints the quarter in 15.5 seconds at 89 mph. It also turned the same slalom speed as the Miata, an impressive 64 mph, and matched the Mazda's lap time around the racetrack. oh and this the base 177 hp solstice NOT the 260 HP GXP Do I really need to continue?
  6. i was going to suggest the wheels with the red ring. you need those.
  7. why don't they use them for crash testing or artificial reefs.
  8. i love corners and why do you keep bashing american cars and corners. i challenge oh and welcome Brian
  9. sams car was stock when he sold it and regardless of mods i'm talking about how they were driven. and i would rather buy a car from someone who runs their car hard and is knowledgeable about such things rather then buy a car from say the 35+ year old woman i seen at walmart the other day with her husband trying to buy oil and i quote " isn't all oil the same just buy the cheap stuff."
  10. my daily cavalier averages 33+ my corvette gets 32 highway about to be more.
  11. they are practicing so they will be ready to put us down when the people start a new Revolution. also why they are trying to get rid of the 2nd ammendment. even hitler did it he said it was to help protect the people from the terrorists. true story the first ammendment is the most important. the second ammendment is there in case the first ammendment fails. and remember the second ammendment is a RIGHT not a privilege.
  12. I've hauled 2 blonde's in my vette and complete strangers at that, might not have been the most comfortable thing on each others laps but they sure weren't complaining when i started driving. so you would rather buy sams yellow C5 Z06 over austins blue C5 Z06 that he bought when he was 19. AGE has nothing to do with it.
  13. Save up it's so worth it. i could have had heads, cam, spray along time ago but i put my money on track time. if you would have told me i would feel this way before my first time i would have laughed at you.
  14. what year vette did you have. i love the way my vette rides, i think GTO's are to soft and have way to much body roll. (in MY opinion) do you turn your cars or just go in a straight line.
  15. damn dude dont get your panties in a bunch. i read it. so exactly what cars are you comparing since you have all these exceptions? we don't compare apples to oranges here. and i thought about autocrossing i just don't like the fact that there isn't really any track time compared to the time you spend there waiting. plus you don't get to go fast enough, brake hard enough, or turn hard enough. i like pushing my car to it's true limits. you should come to Mid-Ohio some time and before you get all worked up again i'm just messing so calm down
  16. you could wait on the new camaro it looks 100 times better or better yet you could get a vette C5 or C6. personally after driving a vette i'm not interested in ever owning an F-body. i think the GTO is just a big heavy cavalier with a V8 and the G8 is just a more affordable CTS-V none of which are sports cars. very impressive for a family car but they are just that. i love the looks of the new camaro but it's built on the same chassis as the GTO which im not impressed by. (3800 lbs) and with gas prices the way the are i don't want to sit in traffic with a big V8, i'm perfectly happy driving my cavalier threw the week at 33 MPG average and driving the vette when i want and i never complain about gas because i know when i drive it the gas is going to good use ie(running the shit out of it)and not getting burnt up in traffic and if i need to drive long distance it has the aerodynamics weight and gearing to get 32 MPG highway out of a 6.0L V8. I don't want my car to be half sports car half family/practicle car because i think when you do that your only 1/2 happy all the time.
  17. You should do some research on that chief they actually had to change the rules for road racing because the showroom solstice and sky were raping all the current cars in their class. And don’t say that’s the only exception you can go all the way back and compare the fiero to import cars in it’s class if you want. And are you saying my car can’t take turns I take that as a challenge. Agreed
  18. (This is Preston posting under robs name) Recently I had a new differential and 4:10 gears installed (after I broke my stock differential.) I had everything installed and the cover started leaking. I removed the cover and replaced it with a cheap chrome one from JEGS, it was still leaking. Tonight I decided to go ahead and pull the cover back off and reseal it. When I pulled the cover off I found that the gear had been rubbing the new cover. I have only had it on there for maybe 2 weeks. What does everyone thinkg about this? should I go ahead and buy a Girdle? Do they have more clearence? I checked the gears out they seem to be completely fine. I am just concerned if there is a bigger problem that I am over looking? I also remember after I pulled the stock one off to install the new cover it had similiar marks in it. http://i25.tinypic.com/2eea8mg.jpg http://i25.tinypic.com/t869fd.jpg
