  1. Hit me up to if you want any help with lOoking at bikes. Im more than happy to help
  2. the best things about the SVs are they are a great starter bike (enough power to not get bored, but not enough to get you in serious trouble, by trouble i dont mean with the law, i mean to much throttle exiting corners, etc.) hey have 2 models, the standard which has a more upright riding position, has dirtbike style bars, or the the S model which has clip ons. i prefer the standard model, more comfortable, and feels more like a hooligan bike. also they keep their value pretty well. the new models tend to bottom out at $2500 - $3500 and stay there price wise. which means youll get a good return on your investment if you do look to upgrade. finally, as stated its a great beginner bike, but its also a great bike for a seasoned rider. there is no way youll be able to outride that bikes capabilities as a newbie. For a seasoned rider its a shit ton of fun, cause you can ring the shit out of it and really put it to the test, slower bikes are sometimes more fun to ride cause you ride them on the ragged edge. the torquey V twin motor makes a great noise, and doesnt feel as slow as it is. all those reasons are why i reccomend that bike to any beginner. a 250 is not a bad bike, but youll suffer trying to ride highway speeds, and youll grow out of the bike really fast. a 600 supersport is ALOT of bike for a beginner, not saying you cant handle it, but most people wanna jump on a 600 and blast on the straights, and they dont even use the bike to its potential. learn to RIDE the bike the way its meant to be ridden, and youll have alot more respect for a 600 or 1000cc supersport. the straights arent the fun parts.. its the twisty bits =-)

  4. nothing really to look out for on them, they are pretty bullet proof motors. general stuff to look out for is leaking fork seals, old used up tires, chain and sprockets condition. and then the normal stuff youd look for on a car, general condition, brakes, any fluid leaks, etc. you should be able to pick up an older model (carbed) for pretty cheap. the newer style bikes, 03 up i believe, are fuel injected. same motor, jsut fuel injected. i had an 01 and it was a really fun bike. i picked it up for like $1500 youll be a little heavy for the suspension, but thats common on most bikes, they are all under sprung, but can be rememdied easily and cheaply on the SV650
  5. just posting my experience with Harley's they are nice bikes, but in the end not my choice i like the 48s they are cool bikes. he made a good choice, they are very throw back, and some people dont like the tank graphics, but thats that throw back styling. and the fat front tire makes that bike! definately gets some pipes on it, makes it that much more fun to ride! and paul go fuck yourself =)
  6. FUUUUUU.. ill be at deals gap, or id love to come to this
  7. i do spring swaps, have all the tools to do it, and the know how to go with it. i can tell ya what ya need and where to get the stuff at the best price. my labor is the cheapest youll find around too. but screw that straight line stuff, keep it at stock height and do a track day on a real track like mid o or something. its alot more fun trust me! also, any coolant 50/50 is fine. but another thing to replace is the brake fluid, for some reason everyone always overlooks changing out the brake fluid. it should be done once a year. and fork fluid should be changed our every year as well, or if you ride very little every 2 years. the older and more broken down the fluid is in the fork, the less it will effect the damping. fresh fluid, proper springs, and the correct sag set will transform that bike.
  8. i loved my harley! http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g425/hobglide/7d5ba723.jpg unfortunately it was like trying to corner a RV. It was an amazing long haul bike, but when i got to the fun roads, i absolutely hated it. i tried to make it better, Ohlins shocks, Racetech Kit in the forks, glide pro stabalizing kit, better tires, upgraded to the new style brembo brakes and semi floating rotors, but nothing helped. i even raised it up a bit, but i was still scraping hard parts like it was my job, and it still wallowed in the corners. i couldnt stand it anymore, sold it and bought a ducati instead. i will say they do hold their value like crazy though. so when you decide to sell it you wont get raped.
  9. i know how you feel. except i have 1 more toy. do i upgrade my ducati, the track bike, or the WRX. i think ill just do a tuner and tint on the WRX, and the ducati will get the most love. the track bike has been geared up enough last year, it should get me through the season i hope. But im with the majority, mod the miata, should be more rewarding and more fun!

  18. Asking $21.. Went at them with 18,500 - 19,000. And they countered and countered, but never got to my price, so i walked. But i know nothing about there value so i wanted tO reevaluate the situation before i really step away totally
  19. i dont know alot about subarus what is a 09 WRX, super clean, 50k miles, heated seats and moonroof worth
  20. i carry the G26, and carried a G27 before. i just love the way the Glocks shoot, and to me thats important. as well as knowing it will work every time. yes its a bit bulky, but id rather have the bulk and reliability then something im not sure if it will jam or not. that being said i have also owned a Diamondback DB380. think LCP sized Glock (but DA) it shoots a ton better than the LCP, i have fired them back to back, the DB has a dual recoil spring, shorter and lighter trigger pull. the recoil is a ton less than the LCP. the DB also has useable sights. Diamondback also makes a DB9 which is comparable in size to the LC9. id reccommend you looking at those as well. i had a few issues within the first 100 - 150 rounds but after that break in period i had no issues with it.
  21. Diamondback DB380, has 300 rounds through it bought it brand new a year ago at Vances. comes with case, Desantis Pocket Holster, and Uncle Mikes IWB holster 20 rounds of Speer Gold Dot will trade plus cash for a Glock 26, 27, or 36 $350 http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/IMG_0107.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/IMG_0108.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/IMG_0109.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/IMG_0111.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/IMG_0112.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/IMG_0113.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p301/hoblick/IMG_0114.jpg
