  1. Sounds like you're describing a 14" rusty steel dildo, these boards are about as useful.
  2. 11" heavy duty side cutters, part number 312cp. These are brand new, I warrantied my worn set and have moved on to Knipex. List price $61 My price $50 or trades for interesting things. 3. Saweet! More LSX donor vehicles!
  4. Drape a plastic bag over the top before hammering on the lid = opens the next time. I've been using KBS from jegs with good results.
  5. I would leave the car stock and spend the money on tools, dinner or anything else which won't evaporate as quickly as a modded engine.
  6. Good stuff, four AMG's taking some stick.
  7. Fully automated inflatable body suits for everyone, make the world safe!
  8. +1 for all the advice above. One other issue I've seen cause a noisy pump - plugged filter which is built into the steering fluid reservoir on some cars. The added restriction was causing the pump to starve for fluid.
  9. Sounds like it might work but isn't worth the risk: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3006
  10. I would google the specific car, plenty of different transmissions out there.
  11. Came here expecting a compound supercharger setup built from 4 leaf blowers and a mountain of duct tape.

  13. In the country of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
  14. In 2010 Sally Struthers spent more on ho-hos and toilet paper than NASA spent on the entire 30 year Shuttle project. Fact.
  15. Napkin drawing please, I'm having a hard time envisioning the setup.
  16. I had to give up on that time tested German method after being introduced to the aural accuracies of "the strum" ps. I think its roots are Russian.
  17. Trade you a half used chapstick and a copy of "Prey" circa 2006.
  18. I go with the "strum" method, strum the belt like a guitar string, if it hits some insanely high note it's too tight. Strum method, not for the tone deaf.
  19. Poking the foam* will likely lead to it breaking down and eventually plugging the fuel filter. *new favorite phrase
  20. The last one I saw actually popped both shift seals, the shift shaft passes through the trans and protrudes on each side and each seal was un-seated. Get it on a lift, you should be able to see dampness around the seals and typically a trail of fluid aft of the leak source. The worst one I've seen had trans fluid coating everything back to the rear bumper.
  21. You may be smelling fluid burning on the exhaust, I frequently see overheating 5/7 series transmissions puke fluid from the shifter seal and it ends up on the exhaust.
  22. So much funny happening there.
  23. Those are all about aerodynamics, the M3 mirrors are good for the better part of 100hp once you reach 110mph. btw, 110mph is the new 88mph. It's a magical speed at which Porsche's depart roads and ebay M3 mirrors create massive power gains.
