Approved, the e36 is a better platform in so many ways:
- hood opens the correct way
- front core support un-bolts
- proper rear suspension
- reasonably fat rubber fits without widebody
Too bad they're ugly compared to the zee e30.
I've been buying from these guys for a while: http://www.centralohiowelding.com
They're located on Spring street downtown. Assuming you're doing mild steel mig welding you'll want 75/25 argon/Co2 mix.
I have both rear covers and the drivers front cover from a slightly wrecked 2000 sedan. The rears are in excellent condition, the front cover has some smudges. $20 each if you're interested in going used.
Another vote for Performance Research, they're good at what they do, punctual and reasonably priced. I've had them do some balancing work and a valve job.
The Patterson will set it right, provide him with 8 ounces of hummus, a fresh order of hand cut fries and the drink of his whim.
The Patterson abides, provides and other things which rhyme with "ides"
