    Keep in mind that you can swap in any a1/a2 16v transmission with no mods and can use most a1/a2 8v transmissions by using a small input shaft clutch disk and the axle flanges from your transmission. That will open up your possibilities considerably.

    Bottom line price on the style 5's = $550. If you guys can work with that number then lettuce deal. I have one or two 4x100 vw donut spares kicking around but that's it for 4x100.

    Ooooh, shiny! Check out ebay for cheap V-band stuff, I know some GRM Challenge teams were staying under budget and using that stuff. It's out there.

    Toronto Motorsports Park, I did my first track day there back in 2005, they had no helmet requirement.

    If the arms are bent towards the rear then tow damage makes sense If they're bent upwards lift/jack damage makes sense I have no idea why anyone would try to lift a unibody car by the control arms, plenty of simpler lift points.

    I smell the dreaded "project creep" as your goal for a reliable 13 second car with a pretty engine bay turns into a three year long credit card scorching reach for a mid 9 second car. Keep it cheap Patterson! The Patterson must keep it cheap!
