Keep in mind that you can swap in any a1/a2 16v transmission with no mods and can use most a1/a2 8v transmissions by using a small input shaft clutch disk and the axle flanges from your transmission. That will open up your possibilities considerably.
Bottom line price on the style 5's = $550. If you guys can work with that number then lettuce deal.

Having said all that, I have a set of style 5's for sale
If the arms are bent towards the rear then tow damage makes sense
If they're bent upwards lift/jack damage makes sense
I have no idea why anyone would try to lift a unibody car by the control arms, plenty of simpler lift points.
