The only info I can find in the book is where it was printed Macmillan & Co., London and a little about the book in the back that reads "Through the looking glass and what alice found there. with 50 illustrations by Tenniel. (first published in 1871.) Crown 8vo, cloth, price 2s 6d. fifteenth thousand." not sure what the last little bit means.

That is pretty cool. Does the history book say what school it is from? Kinda neat what you find in attics sometimes.
This is the first old book that I have. I bought it on ebay from England for a Christmas present and was looking at it wondering if it was worth something. If it is I may get this person something else for Christmas.
The last one I saw they put a bowling ball polisher in the trunk along with a storage place for shoes and goofy ball release thing. I thought that was pretty stupid concidering most people prefer to put these items in a bag so they can take them into the bowling ally.
Its Alice Through The Looking Glass (peoples edition) by Lewis Carroll. It is not a leatherbond but it is pretty cool. It was printed in 1891 so it is almost there
What sort of things are they looking for? I read the bill that is in the link you have in your first post. Is it just old dirt roads that are public roads now. Or trails that only a 4x4 could make it through as opposed to a family sedan full of sunday drivers. It would be nice to have an actual place to go with my jeep instead of having to worry about being on someones land and tresspassing.
The ones I have been to are mostly old police cars. There were some other cars there and a few trucks. The people were stupid in my opinion, they ran the prices so high that you could get a really nice car off of a used car lot for the same price. And the old police cars were being bought by taxi companies, they were going from 5k to 6k.
Get the heads ported and polished for maximum flow ,most of your power is in you heads, get the rotating assembly balanced, put higher compression pistons in it, get a cam that will compliment all of the above.

That sounds cool, are they proposing that they are going to make it legal to ride your quads and dirt bikes on regular roads if they are on this map? And if so is the sticker that you have to get now to ride in the trails that are available going to be good enough, or are they going to make you get some other type of sticker or certificate?
