  1. At 1.5 miles away we're at about 1.5x the rates in Columbus (which were nothing). We are shopping for an actual beach house on the water which is about 3x what we were paying in Columbus, adjusted for home value difference. For an ocean (err, gulf) front, I don't consider 3x a CBus rate to be outrageous. You gotta pay to play. Again, I'm talking Gulf Shores/Orange Beach Alabama so I have no idea what the hell is going on in FL.
  2. That's news to me. Especially since I live well within 5 miles of the Gulf in an even more active hurricane zone. It's expensive but not ridiculous and it is certainly available from major providers. I doubt Florida is a completely different ballgame.
  3. Wow. Never ever go back. You are a terrible parent if you do. We left a great home daycare gal in south Westerville. We miss her everyday . If that's not too far PM me and I'll get you her info.
  4. I've never done metabolic typing. I've done the cut diet 3 times before and been successful each time. I use KetoStrips to ensure that I am ketonic. The Glycogen refeed every 18th meal typically provides enough stores that I don't get the super foggy hypoglycemic feeling. I am typically a vegan but since I've moved south it is much hard to do so cleanly. I am 5'8 now at 185 with a fairly muscular build (32" waist, 44" chest). At 165 I am fairly shredded and vascular. I'll probably be satisfied at 170 but I typically go lower than I originally plan, at a certain point though the losses are attributed to muscle catabolization. That's me /Thread jack.
  5. I lose weight best through ketosis, I do subscribe to a pre-contest BB plan. Chicken, Broccoli, almonds 6 times a day; glycogen refeed every 18th meal. I posted the link earlier, I'm sure you are intimately familiar with the methods: http://www.scivationbooks.com/gameover.htm
  6. I'm definitely not advocating vegetarianism or veganism, I feel that is much more extreme that doing a cut diet for 12 weeks. In fact, I am eating chicken right now while I cut. I'll go back to a vegan diet after I get vascular.
  7. I think it's more like X^y. Especially in Ketonic state. A piece of bread can knock you out of ketosis for a day or more, continuously staying aligned to the values of the identity allows you to build exponentially on the previous day's progression.
  8. Why not take 10-12 weeks to shed as much weight as humanly possible and then start a lifestyle "eating healthier" change. My wife and I just had this conversation. She criticizes me for being "extreme" when I take anything on. I went vegan because moderation is hard, cutting out X amount of meat and dairy opens the door to the compromises we all make with ourselves that sabotage our larger goals. When I decide to lose weight, I can drop every pound I need to in a short period of time or I can go through the agony of moderation and teeny tiny victories for who knows how long. If you want to be lean, just make the decision that it is what you want to be then align your values to match. It's easier to stick to something if you say "I am a(n) X". The decisions you make wont be decisions at all since they either are or are not aligned with the values of X. It's all those small seemingly arbitrary decisions that kill the average persons ability to drop the weight.
  9. My wife had it done at LASIKPlus at Easton. I think it was under 3k. She says it's the best money we've ever spent.
  10. The Japanese call this "Hara Hachi Bu" or eat until you are 8 parts out of 10 full. By stopping at 80% you are still satisfied and not hungry.
  11. Ahh. The "more with less" argument is the heart of the age old import vs. tuner debate.
  12. Isn't Tym Switzer in the 8s? http://switzerperformanceinnovation.com/web_en/?p=1168
  13. It's the crap that is mixed with the caffeine, not the caffeine itself. Black coffee is fine or you can buy 100mg pills if you are an addict like me. Ephedrine can be bought behind the counter as Primatene tablets. Do not do this if you are really a fatty though as it could make you die (Probably not but thats my disclosure). Also don't even bother unless you are doing everything else, eating clean, moderate exerciser 30min day.
  14. Ephedrine Yohimbine and Caffeine are the pillars of the ECY stack that many use to cut body fat. Who told you Caffeine was bad?
  15. No. Your body bases water retention on scarcity. If you don't drink enough water you are more likely to retain stores, if you keep it flowing with frequency and volume, you will retain less. Body fat works in a similar manner. Infrequent eating causes the same result, blood sugar spikes and valleys and the resulting insulin response results in squishy people and the source of Diabetes.
  16. If you're super serious: http://www.scivationbooks.com/gameover.htm I'm 99% vegan all other times but that isn't guaranteed to keep you lean, I've packed on a few and am doing a 10-12 week cut using the above link. I've done it before, it works exceptionally well. It's essentially what Rustlestiltskin posted: chicken, broccoli, Almonds: six times a day 17 meals in a row and a slow glycogen refeed every 18th meal. Easy Breezy.
  17. Invisible Monsters was the last I read or his. I felt the same during that one. I'll give Bonsai a shot when I have time to not be in learning mode.
  18. http://tedconfblog.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/icarus-deception.jpg?w=900 I do not recommend. Seth is running out of ideas.
  19. Seems like this is better anyway, faster CPU SSD OS drive. http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:item.detail?GroupID=457&Code=59360241&category_id=5B0116E237099FA0FCA012D9B20ED2FB
  20. Out of stock seems like a problem. Can you get a non-red keyboard?
  21. That one was much more accurate than mine.
  22. Get over it dude. I probably don't really think you're an idiot. Who cares even if I did? I've posted what should happen in at least two other threads. A quick scan of my previous posts should bring it right up.
  23. You missed the point on exactly every post. The only one specifically directed at you was the takers vs. makers infographic. I stand by my initial conclusion. That doesn't make me tough, it makes me observant. Care to elaborate what "fun" you were "poking" at the electoral college system? You may not be aware that the of popular vote margin was almost 4%. I don't understand how the electoral college is relevant to what you quoted or your response. Enlighten me. You cannot deny that this thread has been bemoaning the false reality that (and I quote) "leeches are the majority and the hard workers are the minority today." This is a statement you agreed with. I showed you that this is, in fact, not even close to true and that your statement blaming them on the election of Obama is equally false. Again, there are problems with the system. There always have been. What I would be more concerned with is the growing income inequality gap and corresponding rise in corporate welfare. You all get so wicked pissed about less than 1% of your taxes going to some nobody to whom you should pay no mind.
