  1. Looks good, but i prefer the 11-87. Soon ill have a super mag for huntin geese
  2. Yeah, it was the westerville ride. Who is your dad? Wondering if i may know him. As for rides, i do dublin tues (avery park, south lot, 615), westerville wednesday, and thurs is New Albany (6pm) or theres a westerville ride from the church at freeman and rt3. I only went to a couple of those this year, so youd have to go on the WBC website find out what time theyre rolling. Most weeknight rides are gonna end at the end of the month until march. Ill still ride weekends and maybe get some lights this year to get out during the evenings over the winter
  3. its the new GURU FIT machine, IIRC. the guy who did my fitting (Chris Freter) at the Lane Ave store does them out of sawmill as well. he lives right around the corner from there too. it is overkill for the weekend warrior, but for those who race, or put in serious miles and want to get fitted to a T, it's for them. also, just to update since i haven't posted in here in a couple weeks, yesterday, did 125.03 (yeah...don't forget the .03) miles. there was a planned 103 mile ride starting about 10 miles from home, so i rode to the ride, did the ride, then back home. felt pretty good until i started the ride home, and realized my ass had enough. it was still a good day though. had a little over 5k' of elevation gain. Burg Bricks, Chatham, Dutch Lane, Reynolds, Black Snake, Sycamore...some of the good ones just outside of town
  4. any reason why not? I've went to FL twice in the last 2 years via southwest, and the process to check the firearm was so stupid quick and easy, i was shocked.
  5. my brothers roommate is a chef there. i still haven't been. i hear its good.
  6. pay? i know a couple girls that might be interested. also, where is your shop?
  7. saw this on reddit earlier and seriously watched it about 15x in a row. and another 5-6 just now. awesome
  8. We had a few unable to make it, so we had a more reasonable sized group and they wanted to do Schmidts, so we did. Still had like an hour wait with 6 of us.
  9. We're simple people. Id be fine with 5 guys but id rather take em somewhere unique to the city
  10. Im with buck on cap city. When i went, i wasnt impressed. Open to cuisines. Probably nothing exotic, but a place with some different tastes would be good
  11. My grandma from Cleveland and my cousin and her kid from VA/MD will be here later. Along with them, some more family and I will be going out for dinner so no one has to cook before the party tomorrow. looking for ideas for a place that would be good for let's say 10-12 people, and something that's specific to Columbus. No chain restaurants, etc. I like the idea of Thurman's, but not for 10+ people, and not on a Saturday during dinner hours. I was thinking of maybe Schmidts, but looking for some other ideas. Nothing too expensive or fancy...lets say $20/plate or less. Go!
  12. been seeing commercials for this place the last few days while watching a pro bike race going on out in Colorado...i didnt realize they were here either. might have to check it out, because the commercials look good
  13. They say when someone loses one sense, the others become much stronger. You obviously got hit with amazing eyesight.
  14. I swear Clay said he wasn't gonna make any more of these damn threads. I think he even made a thread to announce it when he bought the bimmer.
  15. Damn Dave...i was just talking about you and some of the old school guys with Shaun and Sean the other day. how the hell ya been man?
  16. Elevator, but i probably wouldnt go there without getting some dark horse.
  17. i never had any rattle. bump. anyone pulled their old speakers and have one you want to sell?
  18. I have the 9c. IF i was buying a gun and didn't have it, i'd go 9 shield. because i already had the 9c, it wasn't so much to jusitfy having both or getting rid of the 9c to get it. for 40, i'd probably go C
  19. Yeah, 5K for the year. Not too crazy when you think about it over 12 months. its 100 miles a week. I ride when it'd cold out too, so it gives me more time. Hell, last year I rode march-november-ish, and did 3700. I got 54 in today and I'm about 70 shy of 4k now. And Kirk, Josh is now out your way near the Trek HQ, so you could maybe connect with him to get her into something.
  20. Door cards? Everything was fine until last week or so. I wasnt unimpressed with the sound. It was enough for my tastes. 6-7 years ago, probably not and id want it louder and more bass. Maybe im getting old. Lol.
  21. The small speaker in the drivers side door of my legacy is crackling real bad. It doesnt play when im using the radio, but if i put my pandora or another aux unit with better sound, it sounds horrible. I figured somewhat of a long shot, but thought I'd check in case anybody has replaced their legacy speakers. The stock HK system is fine for me, I don't need anything more, and I'd like to just swap out stock for stock Cheaper the better.
  22. I've realized over the last year and a half that there are a metric shit ton of women that will fuck with the guys in the fast group. their smaller body (usually. lol) means they have to produce less power for the same results. theres 4-5 women i ride with regularly that are 120-135lbs, and are insanely strong. let me know if she ever decides to sell the Zipps, though i doubt i'll be able to afford them. lol and yeah, the 106 was kinda rough. i was supposed to do century #6 to hit my goal on a charity ride the day before, but the forecast was 90-100% rain all day, so i skipped it and decided to make up the miles the next day. worked out well. sometimes its nice to get out for a solo ride and clear my mind. for an update for this year as of today - 93 rides; 3877 miles; ~214 hours ride time; 117,600' of climbing got my 6 centuries, but haven't cracked the 5h mark yet. best time so far this year 4/6 of them have been at 5:28-5:40ish. I had faster last year (TOSRV day 1 I think was 5:20). i know i can average 20+ for 100+, its just gotta be a flat ride with a group . the big rides we've done have a bunch of climbing which obviously slows it down. Tour de Cure was 102.7mi w/ 5400' and it was 5:29:18, Tour de Cause in Lancaster was 104.2mi w/ 5500' done in 5:41:57 (and it was hot as fuck that day) its been a good year. i'll definitely hit my 5k mile goal...hopefully before october.
  23. Should've taken the reynolds rd route. THEN youd have hit the real hills. i love going out that way for weekend rides. Congrats on the ride. Wish i was out there with everyone.
  24. I DEFINITELY went on the wrong night, because there wasn't a single girl half as hot as her there.
