have a 2009 Legacy with the stock Harmon Kardon system sub recently went out, want to replace it with something with a little more bass. i dont need to bother the neighbors or make it known when i'm entering the neighborhood, but i would like to replace it with something better than the stock sub. now, i haven't taken the rear dash apart yet, but looking on the legacy forums, it appears as if some 09 owners have a 6.5" sub, and some have an 8". no rhyme or reason why. i want to use the stock sub location. i don't want a box as i frequently use all of my trunk. i will probably replace the amp too (stock one currently under the seat)...would be awesome if i could reuse some of the stock wiring, but i can run new if needed. i haven't messed around with car audio in ~6-7 years, and feel lost as fuck reading some of the stuff i see. any suggestions for a 6.5 or 8" sub (mount to stock 4 bolt holes) + an amp to match it?

can't wait for the REI to go in

i was on a forum when i had my old hyundai elantra (an 03), and my buddy that ran the site sold it off a few years back. there weren't a lot of members, but he said he got a little over $20k for it. i couldn't believe it. seemed like a shit ton for such a small site

you guys don't do any sort of actual collections, do you? just the settlement stuff?
-
i dont think you can if the store pays you something for the delivery fee...i could be wrong though. kinda like double dipping.

rich people don't get rich by spending their money.

Lol. You missed the part about this is only a PT job over the winter...come march, cycling season back in, im gone. I already work full time elsewhere...this is just to keep me busy for a few months. if the place burned down tomorrow, Im not going to be selling my plasma to make a mortgage payment.

and I can understand that. especially if there's not somebody at the house that can watch them, like a spouse. but in the end, it still boils down to laziness, that's why people tip. Its to say "hey, I appreciate you doing this and saving me from having to go through the trouble of doing it myself"...some people just appreciate it to the tune of a couple bucks more than the next person. Oh well...im done here. You 3-4+ people, just know that we appreciate it. If you live near Polaris, and see a Legacy with a roof rack, say hey. I won't post where I work. I don't need Tim writing a bad Yelp or TripAdvisor review (since I know so many of us go to Yelp to find pizza) for something that I posted on Columbus racing. Lol

Every person? no. Most? yes. If you've got a few loin lizards running around, I can see not wanting to pile them into a car. If you don't have a way to get there, sure. But, if you're perfectly capable of getting off your couch and driving 2 miles to get it yourself, but don't, a tip is considered a gratuity for a service you could have done yourself, but didn't.
-
Right...write up a review that your food, which again, you were too lazy to go get yourself, was delivered to you in 40 minutes, when they told you it would be 45. first world problems.
-
I agree. If they gave us the $2.50, or fuck, even $2, another $2 wouldn't be so horrible. It's a way to line their pockets more. Yeah, bags cost money, but it's a one time cost and those bags hardly ever get replaced...definitely not to the tune of $1.50 x ~100 deliveries a day for a year.
-
My boss would laugh you off the phone. We say 45 minutes. Usually, It's out of the oven in 15. if I'm taking 2-3 orders on one run and I know you're the guy that I'm only going to get $1.50, I'll definitely take the other ones first. Yours will still get there, albeit much closer to the 45 minute mark, and not the 20-25 the others will be at. As for that tip line when you're picking up, I know ours doesn't tell the difference. They're all the same. No one inside is gonna get mad when it says "-" like 95% of them do. Now, if it's at a place like Wendy's (which I have no clue if it does), then yeah, that's dumb. Trish - fair enough. I'm good with that. $2-3 was great when I was 18-19 and gas was $1.59/gal. Then again, it's been 10 years and inflation has gone up on pretty much everything...
-
I used to drive full time when i was 18-19...i've been doing it the last couple months part time after work for some extra cash since cycling season is over, and i cant ride after work with it dark at 530...better than sitting at home all night doing nothing those of you @ $5, much appreciated. people like tim, i would definitely bring your shit last. areas are small enough and i usually deal with the same customers...(i've seen some 3-4x in the 2 months i've been at the store). we definitely remember who is who. yeah, they do charge a fee, but of the $2.50 where i'm at, we see $1, and its factored into our wage...they pay $6/hr, so as long as you're taking 2/hr, it covers whatever minimum is...$7.80?...anything more, is extra. if its a $10 order, i don't expect $5. couple bucks is fine if you're close. if i'm gonna go to the edge of our area and you give me 50 cents, fuck you, and keep your money. you obviously need it more. if you're too lazy to drive to get it yourself, don't be a cheap ass. with gas at $3.50/gal, and the fact that you don't even have to put on your shoes, a buck and change is pretty crap. Lewis Center has been pretty decent for me though. when i figure up average for each night, i usually find that i average $3.50-4 per delivery. you'll get some that are $1-2, usually $3 is the most common i see, and the $5-7 on the bigger orders or regulars will make up for the Tims. coming from doing it for a long time when i was younger, i rarely have something delivered...nothing preventing me from going to get it myself except laziness...since i bought my house 5 years ago, i've probably had delivery 2-3x, and usually just a single pizza. always $5

havent had those issues. i would like to know though, why my s3 charges like a normal phone with the cord from my HTC Dinc thats 3.5 years old, but when i use the cord that came with the s3, or one of the 3 new ones i bought, it takes an hour to go up 12-15%. my DInc cord, its usually 1% per minute.

if you ever watch the movie "Wonderland" (which is based on a true story) with Val Kilmer, Kate Bosworth, Lisa Kudrow, there's a part in there where the Arab guy has John Holmes in a chair beating the shit out of him for robbing him...he has Holmes' black book of contacts and is reading them saying how he'll kill everyone close to him, and reads one name and when he's reading the address, he says "pat-a-skal-a, ohio". took me a second the first time i watched it. Great movie though. one of my favorites, even though not a lot of people have heard of it.

makes me realize how horrible my bike handling is. lol. i was thrilled when i was able to pop my front wheel up onto like a sidewalk, then hop the back end up and over to get up there. i guess i need to buy a new more expensive bike to try this stuff out. and yes, i can't believe those wheels didnt explode on some of that shit. and to think i avoid potholes to avoid flats/bent wheels and these guys are dropping 6' on them. video is fucking awesome.
