update... a) glad im not the only one thinking people are crazy to turn down guaranteed $ b) turns out she's going to rent her mom's husband's condo near polaris. a little above her budget, but her work is less than a mile away, so the drive from Mt. Vernon to polaris-ish she makes every day will save her a bunch on gas that she can put towards rent...and she should be in this month. thanks for the responses. i haven't been on for a couple days to get back to this

Trying to help someone find something. Preferrably not in a shit area, and something east, NE, close to a sitter in Gahanna, and a reasonable drive to work in Worthington. Will be a few months out, and person will be using tax refund to secure housing, and depending on rent, may be able to pay full year up front to try to avoid any eviction restrictions. Monthly income not an issue. Just trying to start doing some research now and find places to try to get ahead of things. Called one place and they said they go back 10 years and even paying a full year up front, they'd still say no.

thanks! i might try to get out this weekend, but if i do, it's gonna be slow and flat. my body today still feels like i got hit by a bus. im hoping the pain goes down to get something short in on saturday and i heard about the guy getting hit through a mutual friend today on FB. i dont know if i know the guy or not...name doesn't sound familiar, but i may have seen him out on some rides before. regardless, shit sucks.

http://www.strava.com/activities/88683294# finally hit my 5,000 miles in 2013 goal today. had a crash on the ride, sprained wrist, bruised ribs/hip, but nothing broken, thankfully. combination of a stupid mistake on my end, and my new wheels (like 4th ride on them) being WAY more grippy on the brakes than my old wheels. coming to a stop, guy in front of me braked a little harder than i expected, and i just grabbed too much brake lever and went over the handlebars @ ~18-20mph...still finished the final 20 miles (albeit a bit slower than what we were riding at) instead of getting a ride back. no way i was gonna wait until next weekend or later to hit that goal.

Once again, Tensuke

I got it all at Tensuke on Old Henderson by Aki Hana. Initial investment was about $50, but that included stuff like $12 for rice (which ill have 8-10 more uses) $4 for rice vinegar the mat, stuff like that. Id only need fish/veggies/cream cheese to do those again, so maybe $20-25?

went to the market and had one of the guys show me what all i needed. after the first 2 attempts coming out looking horrible, i finally got the 3rd roll to come out a little better and #4 was best. look/presentation, i give myself a 4/10. taste, 8/10. i was surprised how excellent it was. i got stuffed as fuck off of it and went into a food coma for a couple hours. lol and thanks for the tips about keeping my hands wet with that rice. jesus that stuff sticks to EVERYTHING. found that i had to wash off the blade of my knife after cutting each piece or the rice would stick to that while cutting and tear the roll apart a bit. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/20131007_195626_zps2abb392e.jpg

I got the itch today to maybe try making some. Nothing crazy, salmon/tuna, avocado, cream cheese, cucumber. I found that Tensuke market by aki hana sells the fish, and probably everything else ill need. Just wondering if theres any tips or tricks i should keep in mind.

this. i get bored in a gym where everything is the same. i do cycling 3-4 days a week, for 2-4 hours at a time. its usually not cardio level the full time (which i think is what...like 80% of your max HR?), but its close. when we ride in groups, it ends up being more like intervals, where everyone does a pull up front for a mile or so (about 2:45-3 minutes), being up front cutting the wind you're doing the most work, HR gets higher, your turn is over, drop to the back, recover a bit, slowly move up. THIS is from this weekend on saturday. 52 miles, just under 3 hours (with a stop half way through for 15 min or so) http://connect.garmin.com/activity/382487266 scroll down and it'll show my heart rate data. getting up to about 160-170s during my pulls, about 140 on recovery. averaged 151 HR for the ride (2:59:31 total, 2:42:46 moving). ends up being around 75% of my max, as i can still peg my HR at 200-201 on the hardest of efforts. that was just to point out that hours of cardio isn't something crazy. that was one ride, and we usually do 3-4 of those a week. some longer, some shorter, but usually 40-50 miles is the average, and usually between 20-21mph on average (above was slower because we had a new-ish woman riding with us) but, what i was getting to is, is that the comment isn't THAT far fetched. i used to be ~210lbs. not FAT, but bigger than i should've been. knew i needed to work on the cardio, gym bored me, i hate running with my flat feet, so i tried cycling. now, im ~175-176ish, i eat literally whatever the fuck i want, and sit right where im at. now, i know if i had some more determination to get another 15lbs shaved off i'd be even faster on the bike carrying less weight, but im happy where im at and never skip a good meal. get into something that you can work out for without getting bored, couple that with your dieting now (while keeping in mind you have to eat calories to burn calories), and you'll do fine.

no...its just a legacy, so just stuff like dash, center console plastics, etc. it just had about a year of neglect/dust i needed to get rid of. finally started getting to me

Even though the responses are a bit later than i hoped for, the Meguiars is the exact stuff i picked up. worked quite well, and doesn't give me that same look/feel of armor all i was trying to avoid. win! thanks guys

What is everyone using these days? I'll admit, I haven't had a car that I've given a damn about keeping clean for years, but my new car, it needs a little attention...there's nothing horrible, the common dust buildup, etc. Years ago i just used armor all, but i dont want that shine, and oily feel Something i can buy at napa, AZ, etc. Its a DD so i dont need anything detailer level, just something that isnt armor all that works well on interior plastics. TIA
