  1. Milanos is great. Thats the first place I always go to when I come through columbus.
  2. Tryin to hit countries in their warmer months, but so far so good.
  3. If you were single, had around a 5k budget (not including flights) for two weeks, where would you go during November? My contract ends in November so looking to just wild out. Dont really care to relax. Also my job is taking me either to Rio de Janerio or Australia next so would like to avoid those areas as I will be living there anyway. Still if there's good party spots theres no hurt in getting a head start in those places. Also I have been to Ibiza, Cyprus, Vegas, and Croatia all great places, something along those lines is what Im looking for just southern hemisphere. What would you do? Singles Cruise? Vaca packages targeted towards single people? Let me know.
  4. TCS or Telecommunication Systems. GD is alright, but they only pay 120k a year, or 130k if you go to FOBs as well. I maked much more than that. The first 84.5k is tax free from what I understand. Understand though with the surge in afghanistan is making things worse. You'll most likely be double bunked, no personal space available unless you can get to a place that your company has a compound (where im at it just isnt available). Try and score a gig in Iraq or Africa would be my advice, Afghanistan is just a mess right now. If you want a hook up let me know, were looking for satcom and network techs/engineers right now.
  5. I have a lab here at work that I can mess with (just have to set it up), also the satcom equipment I work with has a Cisco 2800 router w/a switch. And I have plenty of time, Im contractor out here in afghanistan so theres not much else to do besides play madden, and hit the gym. It seems most people I talk to go the CBT nugget route. Just seeing what other options are out there. Networking is a whole new language to me.
  6. Im a pure satcom technician, however company has made some major changes, and now I am required to obtain a CCNA. I know how to load configs into switches and routers but beyond that Im pretty clueless. I have the sixth addition CCNA study book, with a few CPU programs. I was just wondering if other people have a CCNA and what study tools did you guys use to help get your certification.

Personally I didnt really enjoy it. Its got the 'old money feel to it'. But I had a fairly ok time, I was 21 when I last went so my intentions for what I should do in my time off changed alittle.

Been there 3 times. Its pretty laid back. Cant hook you up though my friends ex-fiancee had a house down there and lost the hook when they broke up.
  9. I live in Afghanistan Was living in georgia for the last 6.
  10. 4 I called the guy at james duff, and he said they used to make some shorty headers but have not made them in awhile. So you probably do have some headers from them just not in production anymore. I found the exact headers that I have now with ceraminc on steel coating. They cost a pretty penny but it looks like thats direction I have to go.
  11. The hooker headers are for 4 wheel drive, as well as the James Duff headers(which are long tube). On a 2wd app the steering shaft as to be modified, how idk. I already have the hedman shorty headers that work with my application, I was just going to buy new ones thinking I could just shine them up. My original have that classic rust to them. So there isnt any places in columbus that can do ceramic coating?
  12. Im going to purchase new headers for my build. I dont want them rusting out so is there a place in columbus that can help me out with some steel shorty headers?
  13. I found a guy that knows his stuff when it comes to rearends. I looked for a 9" rearend end but I was being cheap, and now that Im 8500 into this project I should of went with the 9inch. Hindsight is 20/20. The 8.8 should be plenty strong for what Im using it for especially with the auburn unit. I did pick up a 9 inch housing for 50 bucks from a friend that has multiple track cars in my search of rearends. For weight over the front the motor has aluminum heads so that helps some, the truck also has dropped ibeams and never drove bad with the all iron v8 in it. Also a 16 gallon fuel cell is going in between the frame rails where the spare tire would be that also helps. Im going to relocate the battery as well. With the lincoln brakes is that what I could apply to my 8.8 rear or was that for a 9''?
  14. The average can of paint that we use is 500 a gallon.
  15. Speaking of the original sho heres some pics of the truck that Roush built with the yamaha motor. http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/rangergt1.jpg http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/rangergt3.jpg
  16. Wow you know your shit. Ill just stick to what I have then maybe upgrade later down the road. The rearend is out of a 98 explorer so has disc brakes on the back that should help slow me down better than the stock drums that were on it before.
  17. I have a 8.8 rearend being rebuilt thats going to be installed. The rearend is at another shop right now being shortened. So thats what were waiting on to go on with the build, frame will be sandblasted and painted after that. Im shooting for just a weekend cruiser, not a dd. Just something nice, have alittle punch, and be reliable enough to take out to the track every now and then. I dont really want to spend too much money on making a true show truck. The motor in the pics I havent decided if Ill do another project and use it for that, or stroke it out to have a backup motor/upgrade to put more power down. Also as soon as it gets close to done, Im going to pay you to do the wiring in the truck if you dont mind, and hopefully that will be the last step I need. You be able to hear my truck run before I do. Also I was wondering if you know much about brakes, theres a way to fit the front of the truck with 93 cobra brakes and I was looking into it, but it seems that the kits that used to be out there are no longer on the market, I was wondering if you knew anything about it?
  18. Alright will do, my dad is Scott he really likes you guys over there.
  19. I work for TCS (Telecommunication Systems) we are based out of annapolis, however I was working out of our tampa, fl division for production, now im into installs and customer service and work out of atlanta, georgia. Basically I do SIPR/NIPR comm installs on forward operating bases here in afghanistan. When I found the truck it had the kit on it. The ranger gt's came with a 2.9 and bucket seats, and macphearson suspension. The SHO build was originally what I was going to do, had a 91 SHO taurus to start it off with, hence my original username. But at the time I didnt have the funds to really pull it off so it was scrapped. Ford did build one SHO truck and that was what the Ranger Gt was supposed to be, that would of been pretty cool if they had went with it. Years ago I seen that someone was going to build one, but I dont know if he ever finished it. Maybe when I get back Ill try to find another gt and try the build again, but thats just a dream right now.
  20. Little history, truck was found when I was 15 in a field behind a barn. It was white, w/red interior, top chopped, as well as the wall between the cab and bed. Me and my dad then got it running and painted the body purple and the gt effects yellow. Updated the interior w/purple and yellow leather, and died the dash. Then I blew the original motor, replaced it with another 2.9, that motor failed at 27000 miles due to my age and spirited driving. I also wrecked the truck and had to paint it all yellow due to the cost of the purple paint being $800 a quart. After my motor blew I joined the military and spent about a year traveling back home to upgrade to a v8. I was successful, and put only about 500 miles on it in 4 years due to me always being away. My original v8 has a edelbrock intake, holley 650cfm carb, mild cam, and hedman headers, all backed by a rebuilt c6 tranny. Fast forward to now, truck is completly torn down, I have a new crate motor being delivered (400hp) on monday which is the last part i need. The truck has a new fuel cell being installed, suspension, bushings, everything. Im going to paint the truck back to purple and yellow and paint the frame. I had it right the first time. Im currently in afghanistan doing contract work as a civilian and my dad is doing the build for me at his body shop. Our family body shop is located on 5th ave. Heres the pics:http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/MK1jpg.jpg http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/MK2.jpg http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/MK6.jpg http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/MK8jpg.jpg http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/MK15.jpg
  21. Whos custodian and non-custodian? Ive already been in this rodeo and it sucks. I pay insurance, and 800 a month in child support which is fine because its way less than 20% of my monthly income. However I cant claim my son on taxes. If you have to where your monthly support goes to daycare services thats claimable. My son's mother is also the custodian so she gets to decide everything concerning health, school, etc. Sorry that your not getting much advice, hopefully the mother doesn't use your kid as a tool to aggravate you, like mine did. It all works out in the end though.
