I hope you didnt buy the cheaper ones. I changed quite a few until I bought the more expensive one. I dont see how you're having that much trouble. And yes, the gasket is neccessary. Take old hub off, undo the bottom of the strut from spindle. If you turn the wheels all the way to a one side, you can slip the cv shaft out of the spindle, allowing access to change the gasket. Now put it together. If it's not spinning check to make sure the cv shaft is resting fully into the bearing. If you're changing one, you might as well change the other.

Genealogy is the shit, seriously. I have alot of mine back to even before we came to the United States. And I recently found out this: John Browning was born April 16, 1749 in Culpepper County, Virginia and married Elizabeth Strother of in 1774. She was the daughter of Captain John D. Strother, a prominent Virginian with large land holdings and very influential in the Colony's politics. John Browning served as an ensign in the Continental Army from Valley Forge to Yorktown, where he had the U.S. flag shot from his hands. He promptly picked it up and carried it on. He was a member of Washington's bodyguard and attained the rank of Lieut. Col. He returned home after eight grueling years of service in the Revolution in broken health, and died September 25, 1818 at the age of 67. I have tons of stories like these somewhere here at the house.

Vet says its the heat. Just to keep a close eye on here, and if she gets any worse just bring her up there, no appointment. She seems better, but I guess only time will tell.

She eats about 1/3 of what she does usually. But that could be the heat. She can relieve herself just fine. And yea, she is on some joint therapy medicine now, has been for awhile. This is her. I already know she has thyroid problems, has had her hip dislocated, she's half deaf, etc. I know her time is about up anyhow. Taking her to a vet is a huge deal. She has to be carried the whole time or she flips out. She shakes like crazy and whines. But anyhow, she has an appointment tomorrow afternoon. And oh yea, smokin5s, thats a pretty retarded comparison. Its not like I'm thrilled about possibly having to put her down. It would be hard to. But, $200 for having the vet do it, or me doing it myself for super cheap and knowing she died peacefully and unaware, as opposed to the panic mode she'd be in up at the vets. I think if it needs to be done, I'm going to do it myself.

I don't know if you're joking or what. But, I've been thinking towards this way. Ive put like 5 down by shooting them before. They were just hunting dogs, so it'll be a little different this time around. She seems to be doing better today, but who knows. Vet can't get her in until tomorrow. I know Im gonna catch alot of grief for what I just said, but, maybe it would be best if I did it. Hopefully she gets better, and I wont have to resort to either for some time. Thanks folks. If so, how did you know it was time? My Golden Retriever is now 14 years old, and is getting quite rusty. Mostly mornings, she has a hard time getting up and moving. But, the rest of the day she's usually fine, until today. She just seems lost, like she almost doesnt know whats going on, etc. Any other dog I'd just take outside and shoot, but not this one. Just wanted to hear from somebody who has had to do this to their pet(s) before. If we have her put to sleep, can we get her back afterwards to bury her or? I'm clueless as to the procedure. The vet wants me to make an appointment just to get these answers.
