  1. BWHAHAHAHAHAHA google is only worth 1.2billion....weaksauce
  2. I bought one for $40 online. I mounted my 46" Samsung with this damn thing......fucking mount broke.......so did my TV....$1800 mistake.
  3. I think it's funny that people think Bill O'Reilly is anything less than that. I would think that that's what Bill is like before the coke and booze?
  4. I sacrifice 20-30k per year in salary because I am with a company that has never laid anyone off, period. My long-term stability with a company is one of the things that makes me happy. Knowing that I'll be able to pay my bills with out much worry about the company closing down tomorrow and me having to search for a job......means a ton to me. I love money, but not enough to sacrifice my security. For you I think you'll have to define happiness and what it means to you. Two things that you can't "do-over" in life is.....time wasted....and....body wasted. Once the time is gone, it's gone. And sometimes once your body is shot, it's shot for good.
  5. Very good response. I think that there is a big debate out there about two sides of the "loan" coin. On one hand people tend to say it's predatory lending......and on the other, it's people who got into loans they couldn't afford. I'd really like to find out how many people get taken, versus how many people take themselves. I think that this is where the debate lays. I say that typically, it's people who make poor financial decisions......but I'm willing to also say that there is probably more shenannigans going on than most people know.
  6. Sure some companies are loan sharking, but if the things that they participate in are illegal, then they are illegal. Capping the interest rate they can charge is ridiculous. I am all for making laws "mandatory" for people to sign. Disclosure this, disclosure that. Similar to signing a mortgage. I don't know how many papers I signed stating my interest rate, my payment amount, and what this and that was. It was duplicate copies of duplicate copies. If the common person was subjected to this paperwork and they walked out of there NOT knowing what they are buying......they should be declared mentally incompetent to enter in any contracts, period. When the gov't tells me how much money I can make, I need to have the same ability to tell them how much I'm going to pay them.
  7. Never before have I ever seen you request the approval from the collective spank bank of CR. Typically, you past/post the hotness for our viewing pleasure. You don't need our approval, nor do I think that really want our approval, so there has got to be a catch. But penor away sir, penor away.
  8. I haven't seen anything on here about the Ohio law that they are proposing limiting the interest rate that can be charged for "payday loans". http://www.lbo.state.oh.us/fiscal/fiscalnotes/127ga/HB0545IN.htm Is it right to limit a companies excessive profits? Should the gov't be allowed to tell these people how much they can charge?
  9. I love the arguing, but you all sound like a bunch of housewives screaming that you've got a "better double-oven". I think we all can agree that things are not as good as they used to be.....it seems that most of us are pretty well educated on this fact....in addition most folks here seem to realize that economic growth and contraction is cyclical. Now while we could bicker like housewives, let's talk about some real economic theories that I am begining to think are more like "proofs", as outlined in this thread. Most of us know the economic graph, where it shows this perfect out line of "expansion, peak, contraction, valley".....and I think that most of us were taught that we KNOW when we are expanding and when we are contracting(typically*wink*)....the uncertainty lies in knowing if we are hitting the top or at the bottom. Politics/Government + Business NEVER equals a better, well informed, more effcient economy/consumer. It makes slugs who throw ripples in economic trends instead of letting the free market do it's job. It's just like the folks who want the gov't to do something about the gas prices.....STFU.......the best thing that gov't can do for the LONG TERM ECONOMIC STABILITY OF AN ECONOMY........is to STAY THE HELL OUT!!!!!!!!!!! We are supposed to be a free nation........and aside from civil rights, fairness should never be discussed. Everyone has the right to get screwed, as they have the right to prosper. Welcome to America, don't let the door hit you on the way in or out.
  10. I hope that he get's punished, but I just don't want to see some stupid ass erronius settlement that is just crazy. Ok, the rambling is just too much. Shut the fuck up, rule, and let's get on with our life..........although what he says makes tons of sense.
  11. Hell no, get em all pregnant. It's like a dog pissing on a tree, mark your territory while you can. No one wants to be 55, wishing they would have planted their seed when they can't get hard anymore.
  12. The reason people stay in debt is because they are ALWAYS spending more than they make.....not too many people make more than they spend. And 3% raises....you should find another company....a 3% raise at my company is a slap in the face......i know it varies from company to company, but this is the beauty of freedom...
  13. That's how I feel.....I personally know that I will most definitely make some lifestyle changes if it get's close to the $5 mark.....but that's life.
  14. Too much lard in the passenger seat??? I'm often cautions at throwing parts at cars especially for autox. I have too often seen folks just put parts on for the sake of putting parts on and not for attempting to get specific results. As long as your going after a specific result and your "parts" should get you that result....do it! But......as if you need an Accord guy's approval....
  15. It's affecting some people, but not everyone quite yet. The reason that there is no one out there "solving" the problem, is because the problem isn't universal. People see the price of gas go up, but it doesn't have the same effect on everyone.....it's not a universal problem. So until you can "rally" enough folks around the idea that it's a problem, your going to have trouble unifying people. I agree with Wease here: I fill up once a week, 15 gallons X 1$ more per gallon - $15 more per week which is $60 more per month......which equals $720 more per year. I tell this to people ALL THE TIME....if the difference between you having money and you not having money is $15 per week...you've got A LOT more $$$$ problems than gasoline alone. I'm really trying to discern if too many people have sand in their vagina....or people are seriously this broke??
  16. Everyone always wants to know what someone else is going to do about their problems!! How about a reality check. Einstein once said that the definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". These prices are begining to eat into peoples discretionary income and people are getting frustrated. Only at the point of frustration will people being to change their ways and allow supply/demand to begin to take a larger effect. On the bright side, SUV's are getting pretty cheap in used form. Gas prices are not the governments problem, it's your problem. Single handedly or the State of Ohio can't do too much to change the outcome. The best thing you can do is change the way you live your life to fit the situation that has come to be. I just see too many people pissed because the world isn't catering their demands.
  17. I've changed my mindset. I can't get upset over gas prices. I continue to tell myself that gas is on sale, anything below $5 is a serious discount.
  18. I'd give him 25 points if it was with a butter knife.
  19. Do you want to quit?.......because if you do..you will
  20. Definitely don't forget about us "Tool Man". Then give us a list of things NOT to do!! Just kidding. Love the pics and watching the work.
