Sure did, before I could drive, and before it was modded. Who all was out that night? It was me, you, Sam, Tony Rex, Mark, Joel, Ricky, Bugboy, Jason, and Anthony, right? Am I missing anyone? Those days were awesome, just hanging out and having a good time. Goddam was i a horrible driver.

Dan, I think I took care of that one already when I admitted what I heard was second hand. This is a thread in which I apologize to those I believe I wronged; if you would like to start a new thread, or PM me, or post in the old thread, that's cool. I didn't mean to come off like a douche. On the internet it's easy to take things out of context. People who know me personally know it's not typical of my personality. I am usually very diplomatic. I am usually joking with people on the board, (like with Sam, who I have no personal issue with), but in this case it was getting serious. Not my intent.

Reference this thread Just wanted to clear some things up. Things got out of hand in that thread pretty quickly. I did my best to straighten things out early when I saw the direction the thread was headed. I met with Jeff in person to discuss the things about which we had been talking. Since I have no personal experience with IPS (i.e., they have not done work on my car, nor have I purchased parts from them), then I shouldn't have insulted them or their work. That said, Jeff and I agreed that the best way to settle this is a mutual apology, mine for insulting IPS, and his for his personal insults to me. Hopefully we can work past it. The situation escalated far past where it should have.

I will make it a point to talk to Ricky as soon as possible.

OK, so from the information I am gathering, just to make everything clear, the situation with Ricky's car may not be as I described. Perhaps he didn't steal anything off of anyones car. I don't know what happened and apparently no one else but Ricky and Dan do either. Maybe not even them. I know that words were had between the two, and nothing good has come of it yet. Also, I can't validate the quality of work that has been done since Rickys departure from IPS. Perhaps they put out quality work. I still have a problem with Jeff due to some things that were said today, and his flat out refusal to work things out over the phone rather than via the website. I am glad I never had the need to work out anything with him "professionally". That said, my problem with Ricky stems from something said on dieseldigital, and I still have a problem with him.

I've already had one person call me to tell me they didn't know that Ricky still "turned wrenches" at IPS, and now they aren't going back. graemlins/thumb.gif

FWIW, until last month I had the fastest N/A Mark VIII in the country. It was being prepped for forced induction, and who's to say whether it would have been faster than Sams car? I think it would have, but it's speculation, so I can't say for sure. It doesn't matter much, since I don't have that car and Sam doesn't have his either. Your shop is not just inept because you can't fix your own car, (which has been running what percentage of the last few years? Valvesprings... ). There have been plenty of complaints on this board about your services. Your shops name is a joke among some circles, and IMO it is due to how you treated your unsatisfied customers. Obviously an astute businessman such as yourself knows that a business will not have a 100% satisfaction rating, but yet your employees have still insulted those who had problems with the work rather than try and make amends. I hope potential customers read this thread and see how you treat people who disagree with you.
