  1. I do want to mention that recently I took it out of the car and on the workbench it wouldn't take a charge beyond 11.9V so I had it warranty replaced. NAPA handled this without a single question. I don't know if this was a defect in the battery, or because of a defective alternator or diode which NAPA also warrantied.

One of the cells in the battery failed. You should see 2.25V or so per cell, there should be 6 cells present. Your voltage was higher due to charging it on the bench. Sounds like one cell opened in your battery. This is a common failure mode for AGM batteries. If the voltage collapses to zero under load, that is indicative of an open cell.

  2. Fuck you too Otis.

It's an ethnicity not just a religion. So yeah, not one when it is convenient is usually when some white supremacist piece of shit is looking at my hook nose and trying to figure out just how "jewy" am I. Do you want to guess how often that happens? or are you content with making racist jokes just because you find them funny? You wanna drop some N-word jokes in there too while you are at it?

The reason Jews have big noses is because air is free.

  3. I don't care about the tax returns (any politician not a complete idiot has their money elsewhere, i.e. charities that don't do anything charitable) and only thought of it because of that article and realized I don't remember hearing them harping on about how Trump did not release his. NPR radio broadcast was part of that which I'm pretty sure doesn't get algorithym'ed specifically to me.

Maybe getting your news from one source is why you can complain that you don't see certain things in the news.

  4. Thread Hijack (kinda)

Looking for around a 32" SMART TV. Going to run youtube/netflix/etc. through it as an extra somewhat portable TV for the garage/other spots in the house. Not really looking for bigger. Cheaper the better. Let me know what you guys see out there. Prefer online I'm to lazy to go to the store.

We have one you can have. It was too small for our gym so we picked up a cheap 50" and the 32" has been sitting on the floor ever since. PM me and give me your contact info.

  5.

I believe that is the EXACT television we have in our bedroom and it's great. I think I mentioned it previously in this thread.

  6. you dont need NPR commentary to tell you what happened and how it happened. Watch the video. Its there for you to see exactly what happened.

Let me break it down for you.

Mother calls 911 because adult son is threatening people with a knife.

Dispatcher sends out EMS and Police at the same time. They usually arrive around the same time, but per protocol EMS CANNOT enter a scene unless police secure it first when a weapon is involved. Police arrive, dude has a knife and is threatening himself/people around him. Police are there to gain control over the situation. Guy paces around the neighborhood putting more people in danger that come within striking distance of him. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT HE WILL DO. Police try to circle him and repeatably back up every time he moves towards them to keep distance so he cant hurt anyone else and limit collateral. Since the beginning of the confrontation police tell the guy to drop the weapon many times. Guy refuses at every opportunity. Mom is screaming at the police to not shoot him. She should have told him to drop the weapon. Police are obligated to protect innocent lives and themselves. This guys NEVER displayed anything that would lead the police to think he would drop his weapon or not hurt anyone or himself. Tasers are useless in a situation when a person has a knife within 21ft. They fail all the time. Deadly force was needed and necessary once the guy advanced at the police. This isn't a story outside of the tragedy of this guys decision to charge police with a knife.

This guy had 100% control of how this situation could have ended. He CHOSE to do what he did.

I like the part where you say he doesn't need commentary, just watch the video - and then you provide commentary so he doesn't have to watch the video.

This is not a political or insult post, I just thought it was funny.

  7. I think column shift is cool, but I grew up loving all of the old cars from the '50s and stuff. The older cars are missing synchros though, so it wasn't like driving a newer car. Not sure about the one you're looking at. I'd rock it as is, honestly. look at V8 options if you blow the 6 cyl ( near impossible if it's inline LOL).
  8. Agree with all points Jesse. We only bought the Samsung because it's in our home theater room and I wanted the better picture that QLED provided. There definitely IS a difference, and I'm glad we spent the extra money specifically for that room. But for our other rooms the quality doesn't matter so much so we went lower end with no regrets.

    Home Theater Model

  9. We have both a Samsung and a TCL. The Samsung (high end model) has had issues with the network card disconnecting at random, which can only be reset by either wiping network settings or disconnecting the TV from the wall for several minutes. We got around it by connecting an apple TV so we basically use the TV as a monitor with any network functions disabled. The TCL has never had a single problem.
  10. LOVE IT.

Respectfully, the front could be lowered another 1/2" to an inch.

He probably agrees, you can tell when he said:

Front needs to come down now, so it has a set of coilovers in its future. Might do that this summer, or make it winter project.
