I have never in my life had a car payment reach $400.
-
What additional work (if any) did you have to do to it?
None. The guy had it at a dealership in columbus and I watched the price go down after a few months. I knew he'd be negotiable. I also made a ridiculously low offer because I wasn't really interested in buying the car at that time. He just happened to accept.

I bought my 7 year old Boxster S for $16k. I sold it for 13.5, three years later. I'd do it all again too. Great car. I'd never pay $105k for a Boxster of any kind.

I love this build.
I follow too many fabricators on social media and expect I can replicate their professional level skills using their professional level tools. :-PEveryone, regardless of how good they are, posts their best work. Don't compare your everyday items to someone's best work, especially if they are doing it 40-80 hours every single week. Your progress looks great.

About a month ago I walked into HF and snagged my jacket on their sign.I wouldn't have thought anything about it other than it tore a nice little rip in the arm enough that if it was skin would have cut and drawn blood.
Did their claim process to be told today by them that,
"one of our employees said that you were careless walking into the store"
I was not doing cartwheels and backflips but whatever dude.

All claims are denied at first, to weed out potential fraud. Push back, ask for details, ensure them that you aren't after a big settlement (at this time), just your jacket paid for, which wouldn't be necessary had you not walked into their store that day. Pressure gets claims rectified.

Is it really worth ~$190ish more?
Yes. I know it's already been said, but it still hasn't been said enough.

This the guy that got hit by the train?
Yes. It left him significantly brain damaged. Jamie (my other half) heard that he was playing chicken with the train, and from what I know about his personality that could be true but I don't have confirmation.
was this in Columbus?Springfield, IL Scheels (a sporting goods store).

How's he doing since the accident? I know the UFC did a video story on it but haven't heard much since.
He was child-like. Had a hard time forming words. His brain damage is significant. I felt really bad for him, and his family, once he started talking. It reminded me of the movie Regarding Henry.

I went to high school with this guy. He was a senior when I was a freshman. We used to trade verbal (thank god that's all) jabs in study hall. I haven't actually seen or talked to him since then, but it was great to run into him.

My brother rebuilt his 87 911 engine many years ago. It was pricey for the machine work and parts. It still runs great today with the new owner. My brother has tried to buy the car buy the car back but wasn’t successful.
That's an air cooled car, the newer Porsches are all water cooled.

The 986 forum is your best bet to find answers, though I think people mainly just buy used/crate engines and replace them. It may not be cost effective to rebuild.

You can buy better clamps from a welding supply shop.

Bring them to my house. My entire speaker set cost $240 new, so you can imagine it's.. lacking. Also, what's the big tall thing in your last pic? Next question will be whether it's included or not.
New Speakers. Part of the EMP set I just bought from Jesse. Not included. If you really want these I'll mark them as sold.

Selling these locally, but I come to Columbus frequently so I could bring them next time I come through if someone wants them.
Copied from my local craigslist ad:
Selling these great speakers which have been in my household since I bought them brand new in 1998. Non-smoking, clean home. You are welcome to bring something with you to hear them work, they operate perfectly. We bought a matching system for our home theater and have no place for these anymore. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking!
If you don't like my asking price, feel free to make an offer.

I’ll be in town tonight and I’m able to get together for dinner with anybody wants to get together. I have no idea how many people we have or where anybody lives anymore so I’m down for suggestions on where everybody would want to meet. Reply here with interest. If you can read this, you’re invited.
I’m thinking possibly Winking Lizard on Bethel (is it still open there?)
