  1. It really depends on what you want as an end result. 1. USB inputs.......The radio basically just has an aux. input for any music player to feed sound through the radio. This way is efective and usually less expensive but very basic. You cannot control the ipods tracks, folders, pause, play etc. this way. 2. Built for ipod...... The radio will not only play the music on your ipod and in some cases video as well but you will have full control of the ipod. With this feature present you simply plug in the ipod and use the display and controls on the radio to control the ipod. This way will usually cost you a bit more but the ability to not have to fumble around or look at the ipod at all is very nice to have. Each brand and level of radio will offer different controls and displays so go somewhere that has them on display and finger the hell out of the radios before deciding. Be sure to check that the radio you choose charges and plays the ipod. Some lower end models will only do one or the other. If you get a radio with a remote control you should also be able to control the ipod from it. 3. The best thing anybody can tell you is to take your time and physically checkout each radio before deciding. Ipod controls can be a major pain in the @#$ if you get the wrong radio. Id be more than willing to help with questions, suggestions or whatever. Feel free to hit me up anytime. I worked in car audio for over ten years so ive pretty much seen it all.
  2. Im sure ill get jumped on for this but those IS'S have always really reminded me of Corollas from that time. That swap was absolutely gorgeous though. That guy has some serious skills. I love how clean the wiring was.
  3. Now I know why you were driving a Dodge the other day on 270. LOL
  4. Waitin on the ls swap kit to get finished then ill start considering some more power. At last check they were about 75% complete.
  5. That was you Jones in a dodge? I would have never figured that. What was falling of the car when you pulled over?
  6. Was it anyone on here? We played for a quick second.
  7. One way to help with access is one of the alarms that I install can be setup for opening and closing reports meaning that I could set it up so that each person had their own code and when the armed or disarmed to enter or exit it would send a report to anyone we want in the form of an email thus keeping a record of who was coming and going and at what times. I know people could still slip in and out but if the people who input their codes now they may be responsible then they will be more likely to pay attention to whos there and what they may be doing. Remote access cameras would be another option so that comings and goings would be recorded atleast.
  8. As far as I know they are all stock so a google search should be accurate.
  9. All of the laptops that will be listed in this sale function properly but may need a part, or to be cleaned and reloaded to be used everyday. I can finish them in anyway that may be requested by a buyer or seller however they're cheaper how they are. Before anybody asks they are ALL LEGAL and none of them are hot in any way. $50.00 Dell Inspiron 700m----Has Charger and battery(not sure of batt. life) Needs hard drive as one is not present. They are complete and just need cleaned up as far as the operating system goes. I can load a new one if you want or you can take them as they are. Otherwise they run fine. The price is each for these.
  10. I am completely in love with the G8's. Since they're not really american made there's a chance the interiors might not fall apart before the waranty runs out. I really might look at picking one of those up if I can find one that has not been modified and beat to hell. Does anybody on here have one that can tell me how they are in the snow? Most of todays cars are decent in the snow even with rwd due to all the driving nannies onboard.
  11. It depends on what size you want as weird as that may seem. Different companies have good price point tvs depending on where they wanna hit the market. I think that Samsung has the best led in a 55" but I wanted a bit bigger led/lcd so I went with the Sony Bravia 63". It was the biggest led/lcd that HH. Gregg had about 4 months ago.
  12. Yes they are fwd unfortunately. The one i was asking about though was an absolute blast to drive having been swapped to rwd. It was definately the way it should have been from the factory.
  13. That pic of the M8 is insane. God I love M cars.
  14. Just a random observation but it just sounds really cool to say youve got a BMW and a Porsche in your garage.
  15. The bmw should be in the garage hands down. I hope the misses doesnt shoot me for that one but the bmw seems a bit more rare. I love that car man, really nice find.
  16. I dont recall specifics but when I researched getting one a few years ago, all the guys on bimmer forums said to run from the v12 cars like the plague. The motor in those cars is basically just two inline sixs stuck together so you got two of everything to have to service and pay for. You can find the parts cheap though if do enough online searching and if you do the labor yourself then itll be one hell of a fun car to have and play with. Restored they are absolutely gorgeous. If I remember correctly alot of the bimmer forum guys pulled the v12 and dropped in the v8 instead as they tend to last forever and make just as much power when treated properly. Biimerforums is the place to go for info and JJ at Auto Assets is hands down the best BMW tech ive ever met. He worked on all of mine for years and knows every inch of those cars top to bottom. It doesnt hurt that hes a BMW master tech as well. Now dont get me wrong hes not cheap but his work is absoutely flawless.
  17. With some polishing and working with a professional producer that first chick can make it. If one of the big producer/starmakers picks her up she'll go far. She's got the looks and decent talent. That's all you really need today.
  18. I did some custom gauge work on a 2000ish Monte Carlo SS a couple years ago and was wondering if it was someone on here. It is quite unique so for a brief description it had been converted to rear wheel drive and had an LS-1 motor swapped into it as well. The thing was absolutely amazing. It was put together really well and although it obviously wasnt it appeared to have had those parts installed from the factory. Im looking for the owner because the car wasnt quite done when I last saw it so im curious if it got finished and how it turned out. RWD LS motor was exactly what those cars needed from the factory. They had great body lines but FWD just didn't do anything for them in my opinion. If anybody knows about this car please lemme know whats up with it.
  19. Kevin please call me if you need some alarm work. 614-507-8183
  20. Not a big fan of Audis from that era but that one is damn hot.
  21. I am looking to hire another alarm service and install tech for my company. First ill tell you that we do a very wide array of electronics installation and service in homes and businesses. Primarily we install sell and service home and small business security systems. We also sell and service cctv setups, home theater systems, light computer networking setups, a small amount of computer repair and upgrades, and we've started to get into home automation quite a bit lately. Home automation is really starting to take off and will be something that we will get into heavily soon. I would prefer prior experience but anyone that is good with electronics can be trained easily. Although it may seem totally different anyone who has alot of car audio experience has a major advantage in the learning of this industry. You must have reliable transportation and a basic set of tech tools. I will provide the specialized tools that are needed for programming and trouble shooting. Most of the tools that someone will need include a drill, asst. screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, multi meter, and something to carry them into customers homes in. Other tools such as some small sockets, an assortment of torx and other small driver bits will be needed at times. We do service all of Ohio so some light travel will be necessary. Its usually never overnight and travel pay per the mileage driven is also given. I start experienced techs at $25.00 per billed hour and newbies at $18.50 an hour which will become $25.00 an hour after training is completed. There are ALWAYS chances to make more money on each job by upselling sensors, and really anything that we work on. I offer a very generous bonus and upsell pay program to my employees. I am not greedy and believe in sharing the wealth with anybody who helps my company be productive. Anytime that an employee is able to bring in new customers they will be paid very well. Unlike many jobs there is no limit on what you can make if youre driven and motivated to make money. This is a job where you will have alot of freedom so you must be responsible and honest. We have the normal holidays off and you can work pretty much whatever days you want as long as the jobs get completed and the customers are happy. Overall pay summary is $18.50 to $25.00 per hour Travel pay at an average of .50 a mile which varies depending where youre going and what job youre doing at the site. Anyone interested please respond with a resume to pete@securensound.com or call me at 614-507-8183 and ask for Pete to setup an interview. This postion is open immediately.
