  1. Morning of the GF and i booked LA for under 100$ a piece with tax and closing fees. not a bad deal at all...speshly when comparable tickets are going for mid200-low 300
  2. helluve alot better than the IX. but then again im not that impressed by teh new suby look either. the X is one sexy machine. and the trans...well the phrase "toight like a toiger" come to mind
  3. down and dirty more uninsured(16%!!!) people d/t increased health care costs but wages rising, job growth rising, unemployment very low also: median household earnings up(total amount a household takes in)...but individual earnings went down(more people working(ie wife) and or people working more hours discuss

  6. just with my pc. tried multiple thumb drives on mine...none work. all the the before mentioned drives work in my Gfs computer a quick google search brought up a forums with someone running into the same problam. instaead of formatting it in FAT or FAT32(the option to format in FAT or FAT32 is an option in the formatting screen) he used NFTS(????) wikipedieaed NFTS and i still dont know what the fuck it is or how it would help me format my thumb drive.
  7. when i pop in any thumb drive i get a "disk needs to be formatted". a format screen pops up, i click format and it says disk cant be formatted....what up with that i run windows XP

  9. the SV1000 is a great bike. if he wants a deal tell him to find one with a salvage title over the winter and put aftermarket fairings on.
  10. This was the busa of the 70s and 80 and early 90s. only untill recently wear 600s are 150mph bike did this "fall off the map". The kz900s are actually more sought after d/t the 10lb lighter flywheel from what ive experienced thus far and what ive read/heard this thing rules in the 1/4mi and from a dig up to 120s im trying to find a few KZ sites and get a good book also currently looking at my options...for the winter of course:D
  11. im on ohioriders.com also, but does anyone on here meet up to ride? ive used to hit up the 7 11 on wed nights when i lived on campus, and the occasional bike night at QS&L, but not any thing organized... ps thanks for all the comments
  12. thanks...a whopping 1.5k!!!!!! 28kmi the only other thing iwant to do right now is install a temp gauge and find an oil cooler and or a fan. 77 was the first year the EPA started tightening down the screws on bikes...and with modded intake and output i can suspect its running a tad hot...speshly on these 110degree heat index days so hopefully i should have all that bought and installed myself for under 200, putting me at 1.7k
  13. after the bike i restored in high school(86 honda nighthawk450) completly died early this year, i started looking for a new ride. ...on a poor college students budget I part time work in the dayton area and replied to a guy who had put an ad for a 77 kawsaki in the paper. I meet up with him later that day in rural dayon, technically in Xenia. Turns out the guy is a retiered pipe mantiacne man for sunoco, and all he does since his wife passed is restore bikes. he was working on three triumph bonivilles at once, as well as having 2 other kz1000s and a harley. anyways this is what i got off him http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/590/3056722431110bgvo0.jpg By snowdoc83 at 2007-08-09 http://img372.imageshack.us/img372/8666/9056722431110bgkd6.jpg By snowdoc83 at 2007-08-09 http://img394.imageshack.us/img394/1053/1946722431110bgax1.jpg By snowdoc83 at 2007-08-09 1977 kz-1000 LTD pod filters on the original 23mm carbs re-jetted 4into1 exhaust with NO baffles what so ever cammed new handlebars newer paint runs as stong as it did in 77 if not stronger. after putting new pulgs in her, changing the oil re-sealing the dyno cover gasket/dealing with a striped out fassener she leaks no oil and is one bad mother shutyourmouth plus with only one accident on my record..insurance is less than 150 a year. i love it somthing to shoot around town and even down to dayton or up to the lake with, not to big that its a pain in the city but not to small that you cant open her up on the freeawy... is fast but not retarted fast, is cheap but reliable, is custome but not extreme Im a huge fan of cafe racers, and this is a nice start. i could go on and on about my hardon for this bike but i wont.
  14. asinine people....its what we in the fire/ems community commonly refer to as job security
  15. we seem them all the TIME!!! The shitty thing about this guy doing it himself...the tweezers and cutting tools he used to I&D it(incision and drain) his abcesss...they arnt sterile. so after draining it and NOT packing it with sterile packing, its going to fill up with purulent fluid(puss and blood) and come back again just as bad or worse. PS....EVERYONE ALLWAYS assumes they are spider bites simply because they dont know the exact origin on the abscess. Most of the time, like Tim said, its an ingrown hair that gets infected..and that compounded with Dirty houses, dirty furniture, poor living conditions, not showering on a daily basis, sedimentary lifestyle(sitting on your ass alot Due to being lazy, pregnate, or yourjob) = bad abcess. Its a growing problem where i work(inner city columbus), sometimes low income families who live in dirty houses will get them..mom, dad and their 53984kids. its only untill they move or do some serious cleaning and replace their 20year old couch do they stop getting them (By no means am i saying that tim, his family or his house is dirty...what im referring to is the inner city population who are commonly seen downtown) Over the past 3-4years Childrens hospital has seen something like a 3fold increase of kids with abscesses.
  16. i go to the Y in hilliard. Not bad, but it gets busy after the high school lets out untill 7 or so. they do have a olympic sized pool(swimming is the business in winter...keeps your cardio up, works just about every major musle group,is NO impact and preps you for any sport you play in the spring summer and fall) but when you start lifting you have to start taking like a meat head...standards such as im going to shock my glutes. etc another positive about joining up with the Y, you get a central ohio membreship. So if you happen to be downtown, out east in gahanna or where ever there is a Y, you can work out there too
  17. on the west side of columbus a lot of people run....from the police
  18. http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6117/screenshotys5.png eddy merckx..a German cyclist...one of the best of all time.
  19. i had to lol at "the jap camps from wwII were from west coast invasion"
