  1. Found out about it, it fell off the side of a trailer. The trailer was moved out of the way just before the photo was taken, so that the steamroller could be pulled upright by a crane. Still.....
  2. Watch out for the cops, they have a nice little habit of pulling into traffic with lights and sirens off after "violators". I saw more accidents almost caused by the police tonight than Mopar people.
  3. http://www.wreckedexotics.com/newphotos/weird/weird454.jpg How? HOW? HOW?!?!
  4. Right into the grass! Good save, kinda surprised nothing broke the way he was bouncing around.
  5. White rims would look better in my opinion, I like the monochromatic look.
  6. I'd go with the slant-six myself, but I'd be wondering about fitment issues. They do lean over a bit, you could end up with the same type of clearance issues, but only on one side. And since the \6 was never available with FI in the States, and the Mexican/Brazil versions are a little tough to get, you'd have to go carb'd. Unless somebody has made a plug'n'play FI kit, and I'd hope that would have been in at least one of the Mopar mags!
  7. The ones I can remember, at any rate: 98 Dodge Avenger 93 Plymouth Duster 92 Chrysler Imperial 94 Dodge Spirit 82 VW Rabbit (TDI!) 89 Escort GT, with 85 turbo motor 87 Escort GT, same motor 86 Mercury Lynx XR-3, same motor 85 EXP Turbo, original source of the motor! 81 Mercury Lynx 87 Ford F-250 84 Pontiac Fiero 77 Datsun truck 89 Mustang GT 83 Cavalier Z24 85 Yugo GV
  8. They polished the block and heads. Good Lord.
  9. The Delorean isn't gonna be listed in ANYBODY'S catalogs, hell there were only a few thousand made. But if I remember right, the Eagle Premier has a version PRV engine. Or just a UNIVERSAL set would work. Too bad he was a jerk! Wanna bet he went 88mph, and is actually his own father?
  10. 52 pages of posts boiled into Cliffnotes: Shop took his car, agreed to do certain work. Shop didn't do the work properly, stole his extra engine, owner of the shop beat up his buddy, shop refused to complet repairs to the car after he posted that story, he went to get his car and was yelled at and thrown off the property, still didn't get the refund promised to him, or his extra engine. Damn, the cliffnotes need cliffnotes: Bad Shop! Bad!
  11. http://forum.1320stangs.com/index.php?showtopic=5555 Spread the word, us Mopar folks are with you!

  13. I'm pretty sure the car is a late 70s Mazda, but the motor doesn't look like anything from them. Guess it doesn't say anywhere that a demo car has to run it's original motor.
  14. Ding dong, the witch is dead, the witch is dead!
  15. Was it a DVD type disc, or a PS2 type disc? They have a code around the center that tells you what type of disc it is. I don't think a DVD could be burned into a PS2 type disc, if I remember correctly the PS2 type have a different data layer material.
  16. Stupid people run from the cops. Stupid people can't get jobs that pay well. Stupid people can't afford fast cars. Thank God. Imagine how many people this idiot could have killed if she'd been driving something like an F-body or Mustang.
  17. 10TV just said the driver was killed, and a pedestrian was struck by the car as well. One of my neighbors was passed by the car on Brice, she said it was doing at least 65-70 when it passed her, then it swerved into the parking lot to miss stop sticks placed by police.

  19. Not a good day to take a car to the Brice Rd. Tuffy. A police chase finished in the parking lot, after the fleeing car hit the sign in front of the lot, went airborne, and struck the building, coming to rest upside down in the lot. I couldn't see much, looks like the car was a red Toyota Celica, mid 90s version. It didn't actually go into the building, and I couldn't tell if any cars or people other than the driver were injured.

  21. You're looking for wheels in 5x100mm bolt pattern, with a 38mm offset. Just about any Chrysler, Dodge, or Plymouth wheel from 87 to 96 will fit, as will a lot of GM cars. My Duster (Shadow) is currently wearing some Beretta GTZ wheels.
  22. Cops are all over Alum Creek, Hamilton Rd (317), and Bixby road. They aren't sitting in the usual spots either, they are in business parking lots. Basically, if you are going north or east from Rickenbacker, keep it slow.
  23. Never never never never never buy a Hi-point! A former co-worker of mine had one of their 9mm's, he had 4 jams in less than 3 months, and he never fired more than 150 rounds. The extractor/ejector seems to be pretty crappy.
  24. I'm looking for a 5" tach, preferably Monster or Sunpro. It's be helpful if it still has the wiring instructions, but it's not necessary. Doesn't matter if it has a shift light or not, either.
  25. Sport Compact Car had a PORSCHE 911 with a 4g63 powerplant in one of their "Fastest Street Car" shoot-outs a few years ago. I've never seen anything more about it anywhere though.
