  1. I had a Spirit get repaired there about 3 years ago after a front ender. They managed to destroy the one headlight that hadn't been damaged in the crash, LOST the good turn signal from the same side, and never got body panels to fit properly. Plus the paint wasn't quite matched on the hood and fender, they didn't apply the clear coat to the bumper at all, and the idiots somehow WELDED the radiator support around the wiring harness for the drivers side headlight, without connecting it. So, no headlight and another body shop to cut the support, remove the harness, and reweld it. I'd never do business with them again.

  3. The scary thing is, that does look like a real strain gauge sensor on the chains. And the air brakes are plumbed, so THEORETICALLY..... Dear god though.....
  4. Any rust on the underside of the rear hatch lip? It's pretty bad on the Duster, and just gonna get worse.
  5. Buckeye, where is this place at? I've never heard of them, and can't find them in the phone book.
  6. Wonder if they could hear that GBU coming? You can hear the fins clapping from stop to stop when the seeker has to steer more than usual. It's a WEIRD noise....
  7. They may have only made 200hp, but that was with a redline around 4000rpm, and 6.5:1 compression. Back in those days, 8:1 was considered HIGH compression. In any case, 600lbs of torque will indeed get you moving!
  8. If that doesn't pan out, U-wrench-it had 2 or 3 shadows with manuals when I went through there today.
  9. Mouth yes, vocal cords no...
  10. If that was my Mustang, I wouldn't want it back! I mean, forget the ricer wing and all the body damage after getting PITT'd 5 times....that thing was getting run down hard by CROWN VICS! Did they make SN95s with the 4 cylinder? Cause that thing sure moved like it had one....
  11. Hmm, here's a few I've noticed: RX-7 = broken Mustang = broken F-body = broken
  12. Is that really a 1/4 mile run? Even with some big zoom on the camera, it doesn't seem quite right. And I thought the metric countries used KPH for trap speeds too? Still pretty damn impressive!
  13. Wait a minute, this is in Reynoldsburg? Oh, of course, they have more time to hassle people about trivial BS like this since Main Street is all done now....
  14. I do believe I know the car you are talking about. Let's just say that I doubt the new owner has a subscription to the Dispatch....
  15. "Dodge beat Ford to the punch by 3 or 4 years" Chrysler introduced Hemi headed V8s in 1953. Ford was still running the old Flathead V8 at the time. The scoops were supposedly for tire clearance, but the actual function was to allow high-pressure air in the wheelwells to vent into the much lower pressure air over the fender and hood. If you look at the rear of the wheelwell, it kind of sticks out into the airflow and acts as a scoop. The rear ones weren't nearly as bad, because of the way the rear quarter curved under the car.
  16. The only question I have is: What effect does that have on the motor of the bike? Oil pick-up is at the BOTTOM of the motor, it isn't going to get much if all the oil is on the back wall of the motor, right? Or are bikes dry-sumped?
  17. I'll be there with the Avenger at least, but hopefully I'll have my Duster aligned and newly tired by then. There's going to be a fair number of K-based FWD Mopar enthusiasts there as well, just look for all the Dusters and Daytonas by the BK!
  18. Hope that Jeep body wasn't fiberglass....
  19. Why I didn't think of them I'll never know. Man, my aunt lives literally next door to them!
  20. Got some projects in mind, I need some U-channel steel shapes and some flat bar as well. My old source doesn't have anything anymore, anyone know a good place on the East side to buy some small pieces from? I doubt any piece is going to be more than 4 inches long, so a place that sells bulk steel is kinda out.
  21. I have, it's useful if you've got a "look-for-me" list from friends.
  22. Oh well, it was worth a shot. Gotta take a look around the yards I guess. Thanks all!
  23. I've got Otocincluses in all of my tanks, they do a HELL of a job eating algae. They are kinda small, so I don't know how they will do in a tank with Betta's though. Avoid the "Chinese" algae eaters, they can get BIG, and once they hit about 4-5 inches they start eating other fish! Look for the Siamese algae eater instead.
  24. Aren't Probes 4 lug? I'd kind of prefer 15s, I've got some brake clearance issues with most 14s now.
  25. Remember the old 5-star rims? I'm looking for a set with a 5x100mm FWD bolt pattern. That's a Mopar and small/midsize GM bolt pattern. Anyone have a set, or know where I can get them?
