Yup, if you believe/follow ESPN, they do a weekly "power rankings" for hte conferences based on AP and Computer ranking compiled together... BE has dropped like a rock from being in 4th, while B1G has risen from 6th.... Dont twist things. The police are out there to keep drunk motorists off the road, not to intentionally HARASS people. They didnt sit in the station and say "hey, you know what would really piss people off, if we stopped them to check for sobriety, that would be hilarious!" On the other hand, those guys, were INTENTIONALLY trying to get a reaction from the police, camcorders ready. :dumb: There is a time and place to take up the legal battle over the use of check points... In the court room, in a peaceful demonstration, etc.... Driving through one with a camcorder hoping for something to happen so you can blast it on youtube, is NOT one of them.

Yea, shouldn't have said close. One of my friends is from WV and went to WVU and that was his sentiment to me, which is where I drew the example from. The whole I suppose is really just a lack of empathy on my part. I didn't grow up with a great 'local' college football team. Sure I cheered for OSU when they were on, but wouldn't call myself a 'big fan'. In Cincy we have the Bengals which is the general 'city's" football team. And UC doesn't really draw many non-student/alumni fans since its not a big football school (basketball is a different story...
