    True Debt

This is not just on Obama, though the democrats/liberals and their love for entitlement programs are a root cause. Every elected official for the last 20 years has done nothing about it, and the writing has been on the wall since then. I remember being a child in middle school and the talk of social security draining our nation was going on then. Social Security and Medicare need eliminated and/or completely overhauled. This statement has been said for decades... and it hasnt happened, because it is a kiss of death and the complaining of those effected would be a HUGE number as well. Just recently this was used very effectively against Romney and his 47% comment.... "ohh he wants to forget about all those people on social security and medicare, he doesnt care about them!!!!! ZOMG!!"
  2. that seems narrow minded. And what makes you think the coupe has "died"? Plenty of real sports cars, or sports coupes in the market. Some people want/need/prefer 4 doors... for family, practicality, space, etc... and some of that group of people still want performance and power and the ability to use it in a performance oriented manner. And some of that group do it because of the perception of prestige... Just because you prefer a sports car, or a sports coupe, doesnt discount that there is a LARGE market for sports sedans, more particularly "luxury" sports sedans.
  3. I say 4 door win.... much better suited market for a Buick, when they want to compete with european/japanese performance sedans, also a healthy replacement for the dead Pontiac G8 that was well liked. yea, just like that hog of a CTS-V that was suppose to be a "performance" sedan... its not like it holds the production sedan lap record at the 'ring or anything when it came out... only to still sit as the 3rd fastest sedan behind a Porsche Panamera Turbo and a new WRX STI.... Yea GM sure as hell doesnt know how to make performance sedans, do they?
  4. It's because of his education and integrity he developed at UC that makes him so great. :gabe:
  5. So the next big question for the football communities, and one that has me worried again, is who are the big name coaches looking for jobs to fill all the new found vacancies?
  6. You dont think they could lose against MSU? EDIT: just saw your last post...
  7. On the first part, what do you mean by "entire program"? If you are including other sports, like basketball... UC's resume is light-years better... I would agree they are competitive, but UC wins the head head to head competition for nearly the last decade... if by "entire program" you mean in history, I can agree it being fairly even. And I completely agree with the last statement that being in hte B1G will force/allow them to become a much better program in football.
  8. Yup.... Since UC joined the BE in 2005, we have 5-3 record against Rutgers, and have had a better conference and overall record 5 out of those 8 years (including Rutgers having the edge this year). UC also has won the BE title 3 of the last 4 years. So I would say that makes us a better team.... Also, if we win against UConn and win our bowl game, that will make us one of ~5 current teams in NCAA that has had 10 win seasons the last 4 out of 5 years.
  9. clearly a case of conferences being about money/location... both UC and UoL have better football programs than Rutgers, but Rutgers has a stronger local market... and off to the B1G they go... Same can be said for many of the schools in the ACC to Maryland I bet... I can't imagine any ACC (and obviously any BE) school turning down an offer to join the B1G /whining about being stuck in the sinking ship that is the BE
  10. In other news... Since Rutgers and Louisville lost last weekend.... If UoL beats Rutgers this weekend and UC beats UConn, the BE will have a 4 way tie for the BE Championship (UC, UoL, Rutgers, 'cuse) - only half of those 4 being retained BE members (currently). If that happens, Cincinnati will have won outright or shared the BE title for 4 out of the last 5 years. The UoL vs Rutgers game will also be the deciding game for who gets the BCS bid... which is how it seems to go down every year in the BE between 2 teams....
  11. step 1: drop in LSx step 2: roast unsuspecting assholes
  12. I LOL'd Opinions;Assholes... and in mine, its only a step better than a 944....
  13. The only car event remotely worth a shit on that list is the 911... and a 25+ year old, air cooled, maintenance intensive car just does not sound fun to me. 944s are the lamest car to ever hold a Porsche badge.... unless you LSX swap one. :gabe:
  14. Oh, I should add the caveat that if you are looking to keep 'stock' or not make 'fast'/heavily modify, and dont mind the maintenance cost... the Porsche is a nice car to drive around, and will 'score' more points with non-car people... if that is important to you. (i.e. girls/non-car guys will be more impressed to hear "oh you have a porsche?!" than a corvette... and if it is a 996 and looks more modern that goes a ways as well.) However if you dont care about a stranger's perception... I see no reason to buy an under $20k Porsche....
  15. This... The porsche you are going to get for under $20k, is either going to be an air-cooled nightmare; a slow water-cooled 996 and/or high mileage. It will not be fast, and to make it fast will cost a LOT more money than you can for the same performance on a c5. Porsche's are great cars, but if you are performance/go fast oriented, they will cost a lot more money, both in terms of parts, and maintenance. And for the DIY'er, they are more of a pain to work on/tinker with. So if you're budget oriented, but want to go fast, the C5 is a MUCH better purchase.
  16. Bearcats looking good so far. Sitting at 6-0, won the tourney in Vegas they went to, including big wins against Iowa State and Oregon. Our back court is looking pretty formidable, but will be interesting to see how the post game develops with no new big man standing out yet.
  17. At least you made it a Honda... Don't want to put a kid in something too fast, before they can handle it.:gabe:
  18. psssssh.... this guy says, come get some....
  19. And to make my day worse, insider is saying that Butch Jones is on the list of candidates for the job at Tennessee... ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Great analogy.... UC is to football coaches as the BE is to conferences.... stepping stones for moving on to bigger and better.... Oh well, we 'should' always have our proud basketball program.... (with hope :/ )
  20. That's what I would be thinking, as it is more of a traditional basketball power team. But right now of the 3 BE teams being considered to replace Maryland, you know UConn is in the driver's seat and it's probably a toss up between UC and UoL after that.
