We actually wear a lot of different helmets, similar to Oregon. We have matte red, white and black, black gloss with red flakes, and other gloss... This is a bit different with the checkered/weave look.

Well, build got a bit bigger... Decided since I will have the block apart, I went ahead and picked up a Callies compstar 4.00" stroke crank... 416ci on the way... -
Not that you bucknuts will care much, but here are the helmets for the Belk Bowl... pretty sweet IMO... http://twitter.com/UniWatch/status/280785829704634368/photo/1

I am sure, clearly being related to Dragon Vette, you will be ready for the streets. You better hope that TT kit works out well. -

because a 416 stroker will get me about 40 ft-lbs of tq more than I make (though more area under curve, yes) and maybe 20 more HP peak.... I get MUCH more than that with spray... I also feel I have plenty of power for what i have on the street with 376ci... going w/ a stroker just seems unnecessary for me and the amount of money I care to put into the car... -

Stop telling me what you think is best for what.... What gears do you use at Mid-Ohio? Putnam? Nelson? WG? VIR? I will try to stick to your most local track... what are you doing coming out of turn 5? What are you doing after the keyhole, and peak before braking into 7? What are you doing coming out of 7 and 11? What's your logger telling you? Can you answer any of htose? Or are you just another guy regurgitating what you hear on the internet, but have never actually tracked enough to know WTF you are doing? When you have half as much seat time, data, and track experience as I do... you can lecture me all you want about proper gearing, and what works, and what doesnt. Sorry if I sound like a dick, but it is getting old having you try to lecture me on racing.... -

Casey, I got it covered Sam, you're cheating, lol. Josh, previous best was 11.0@133 Time was 10.5... Got hung up between forks going into 4th... So coasted across the stripe. -

What do you think? Do you even know the difference between the z51 and zr1 gearing, and the mph per gear changes? It seems to me you dont know much about what you are talking about. No, you do not. -

No visible damage on the cylinder wall hat I could see. I am going to tq plate hone the cylinders out to 4.070", primarily due to piston choice. I am not doing a nasy built nitrous setup, lol. I 'might' bump up to a 200 shot, but that would be about it.... But it does leave plenty of room for growth. (would need to further upgrade the fuel system, switch to a direct port, etc....) The block should be good for plenty of power at this point. The stock cranks have been tested in applications up to over 1500 hp... I will now have forged pistons and rods, clevite main and rod bearings, and ARP hardware. Though I think I am keeping the G6x3 camshaft which is primarily an N/A camshaft, but works for n2o.... though i have been thinking about switching to a n2o cam.... -

Really? How rich? (I was tuned for high 11s low 12s on spray). Whats the cause behind too much fuel causing a ring land to crack? i would think with too much fuel cylinder temps would be down? Presuming the cause is the cylinder getting too hot and ring gap closing and putting pressure on the land.... If serious, you can let me know what you are thinking on cost. Why do you think a 3.90 would be bad for road racing? The serious, and most successful, corvette road racers I know are choosing a ZR-1 trans ratio, and a 3.90... -

not at all actually... it must have shot out the exhaust port pretty fast.... There is no visual indications at all of any contact. Luckily I am doing exhaust valve work anyway, so that alleviates any concern I might have about valve seats anyway. -

did not do that on motor... it was on n2o (150 shot) and the only time I sprayed that day! Of all the times I wish I was datalogging, I especially wish I had on that pass... The dyno tune had seemed spot on, if a little conservative. Previous datalogging had shown no drops in fuel pressure on spray, and my wideband AFR tuning was done on the drivers side bank (same bank where pison damage is)... But perhaps the DA was high enough that it leaned out enough that hte increased temp/pressure closed hte ring gap enough for it to pop. I did NOT regap the piston rings when I built the motor, which I guess I probably should have, considering i was making 620hp and 700ft lbs of TQ on spray... As far as what it ran... I cut a 1.54 60' My ET was :gabe: -
So, I went to Edgewater before they closed for the year a few weeks ago. The DA was great, and the car ran amazing... I only made 3 passes since I had a corporate dinner to go to... but set a personal best ET and 60'. However, I noticed a very quiet ticking noise when i got home and thought "hmm better check that out later".... the next day I get in the car, start it up, and now that ticking noise is very loud... FML.... I did a typical inspection for the most part (pushrods, valve springs, stethoscope (narrowed it to #7)... but I was taking the heads off the car anyway to send them out for some valve work. I was hoping to find a bad lifter, but kind of knew better... anyway, here is the damage... http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/F778E219-3A92-4195-8054-3AC8E06F5337-3429-000004995BBF9CC0.jpg I was first inclined to go all out and prepare for a 416 stroker... but I am going to be budget-conscience since I still think I will want a different car at some point and dont want to sink any more $$ than I have to. And think the extra money would be better spent on doing some diff upgrades. So I think all I am going to do is forged pistons and rods (wiseco x-series, -3.2cc; K1 rods). Im going to lose a bit of CR (going from 11.68 to 11.33) so that might cost me a few HP and some TQ (but will feel more comfortable upping the n2o to a larger shot) and I hope to offset the lose with some gains from the head work I am doing. So my winter plans now include: hinson poly motor mounts 1 7/8 headers external oil cooler 3.90 diff w/ hardened output shafts and upgraded c6z trans output and I can now add to that list, forged pistons and rods (lol)

Yea, it will be interesting. We are also losing some key players that are seniors. RB Robert Winn (big east leading rusher), TE Travis Kelce (leading receiver, broke a lot of Brent Celek's records), WR Kembrell Thompkins who is a beast of a WR (fortunately we have 2 juniors that are great as well). The biggest unknown will be at QB... Right now, we are back to Munchie, who if he could get coached into being consistent, could be great... he has flashes of brilliance, but then turns around and makes some terrible throws. For some reason I thought we had played UCF in the past, but I looked, and was wrong... so yea, that could be a good FBS game. USF, as I noted, is always an unknown, they are the most bipolar team ever, the good news is we have beat them 6 of the last 7 years...

Bearcats 2013 Schedule is released... (bolded the better games) Home: Boise State UCF Connecticut (this could be good, depends on what UConn team shows up) Louisville Purdue (lol after the events last week) Northwestern State Away: Memphis Rutgers San Diego State USF (this one could be interesting depending on how new coach turns out) Illinois Miami (OH) (annual rivalry game, but we have beat them down the last near decade)

Yea, once his name settles back down, he will be picked backed up... if for some crazy reason not as a HC, then as a coordinator...

Are you mildly retarded? To completely trump that.... ever notice its the trash in the ghetto and trailerparks that breed the most? Or are you suggesting Shaniqua and her 8 kids she uses for government checks are the best possible additions to the gene pool? GTFO... And as I said, my one friend, in particular, who met his wife online, scored quite a bit of quality ass in college (he was a fucking model for christ's sake, and now does body building competitions (LOL)). I met my wife the old fashioned way, in a bar (our first date was a week later, and lasted 3 days, lol).... but I have no issue with how other people meet other people.. And lastly, as i said, dating services (where you pay to find a 'match' for a date) has been around A LONG time. My mom, met my dad using a "computer dating" service in the late 70s! (you filled out a profile on a punch card, turned it in, and you would get a letter in the mail with names/profiles of 'matching' candidates). I understand that you are using this issue to make yourself feel more Alpha than Wiggles (oh yea? you got a lot of money, fancy cars, hot wife that you needed to meet online, but I am more attractive and can score chicks easier than you!!!) Just seems childish.. This is hte last post I will make on this matter, as it is a stupid e-battle, I was just trying to weigh in on something that I (and several others) find kind of silly.... that's all.

Hell yea, what a shocking pick up. Very happy with the job Babcock did getting a proven winner. I call this a coaching upgrade. They announced the hire at the basketball game (Bearcats now 9-0!!) and the crowd roared... They announced it there before I could even find it on the Internet/espn/etc... The entire Big East has to be in shock that a coach from the Big 12 could be 'hired away' to go to the reeling Big East... Now that we have a proven former SEC coach, former SEC Athletic Director... Now can the Bearcats renew that a former rivalry with UK and get in the SEC ( pretty pllllllleeeaaaaasssseee).

Hence... "as noted".... You really like restating the already established, dont you?

To first answer the college - nfl stadium connection... the ones of note are: Arizona and the Cardinal's shared a stadium for nearly 20 years (not since 2005 though) Houston and the Oilers shared a stadium for nearly 30 years (not since 96, for obvious reasons) Minnesota and the Vikings for nearly 30 yers (not since 08) Rutgers and the Giants in the 80s-90s Miami and Dolphins (as noted) Pitt and Steelers (as noted) Tulane and the Saints Temple and the Eagles As you can see, Pitt and Miami are the only arguable "good" teams that do... Arizona and Minnesota did at some point in history, until they had their own place... I think UC 'could' do this, if they were in a conference where they were playing good teams enough that the stadium wouldnt be empty... That also goes for anything that involves upgrading Nippert, it cant be justified until we are playing teams consistently that people will want to watch, and are are in the "national" headlines enough for people to really be engaged.... and that is a tough thing to do. Here is an article on why PBS isnt a great choice "right now" http://www.downthedrive.com/2011/11/16/2567720/Cincinnati-Bearcats-paul-brown-stadium-experiment-officially-a-fiasco-a-1-04-million http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7747743/cincinnati-bearcats-play-paul-brown-stadium-moves-home-games-back-campus

Oh? Really? You sure you want to bark up that tree? I am pretty sure it also safe to say I offer a lot more 'useful' information on here as well. Of course you have a right to your own opinion... It doesnt mean stating that opinion out loud will not make you look foolish/tasteless, though. Have some couth.
