PM Sent. I don't need to see another dealers paperwork if you get employee pricing. Every GM vehicle has it's set employee price and it's the same at every dealership in the country. As far as financing goes, that's going to depend on your credit and you can cross that bridge once you figure out a truck and pricing.

You can only take one or the other) PDU Package Rebate: $1,000 Your price before tax: 32,968.07 Savings: $9486.93 Some other rebates you may qualify for that would further increase your savings. None of these are compatible with the other except for the trade assistance. USAA member:$750 Trade assistance: $1000 (must trade 1999 or newer vehicle) Truck loyalty: $1,000 (must own a 1999 or newer GM truck or SUV Lease Conquest: $2,000 (must lease a non-GM vehicle) All GM trucks also come with 2 years or 24,000 miles of oil changes and rotations. There will be next to no incentives on the 2014 truck when it comes out. Also, as it's his uncle that is getting him the GM discount, it's only good on a month by month basis. This month is the first time in years that they've extended the discount to nieces and nephews as a way to stimulate sales.

The Chevy should be more than $8500 off if you're using your uncles plan. If you're considering new, there are some great incentives on new GMC's and Chevy's. Be more than happy to throw some numbers together for you on a Sierra.

No notary in their right mind will do this. At least I wouldn't.

To hell with the financial bad decisions... smack them on the head for leasing/buying an Evoque.

As dumb as this sounds, part of me wants an all motor, cackling, lopey monster that pisses off the neighbors. Don't get me wrong, I want it done right, putting down as much power as possible.

This is the route I really want to go. I just think it will be more reliable and I'll be happier with it in the long run. Plus if I can get an LS2 or LS3 short block through the dealership/GMPP, stuff it with a nice cam and a set of heads, I'd consider that my best route. Wouldn't really need to upgrade the internals since I'm not adding boost or a ton of spray. Once the weather gets a little nicer I'll swing over there. Hell, all of my sales guys that are smokers go over to Byers property behind our dumpster to smoke anyway since we are now a "smoke free campus".

Just wait. The new Mazda Passat-V Premium Diesel is coming out in 2067.

Just in case, who is Chad?
-
Yes, please. Seems to be the general consensus is keeping the stock bottom end. I really want to avoid turbo/supercharger and if I go with juice, keeping it under a 100 shot. Keeping it as pleasant to drive under normal driving conditions is important too as I drive it to work (44 miles each way) about 6-10 days a month when the weather is nice.

Also, I work at a GM dealer and get GM performance parts at dealer cost.

Haven't really set a budget yet but it will probably be between 5,000 and 8000. Not sure it can be done but I'll give it a go. Most of the labor will be done by me and my dad. I'll have the rotating assembly done somewhere and most likely do the rest ourselves. This is my first real project (other than basic bolt ons) and I'm really just trying to get a game plan together.

So I can't sleep and I've been up all night looking at goodies. I got a nice tax return that I wasn't necessarily planning on and I think I'm going to start building a new engine over the next year. As the title states, what would be the best "recipe" bang for the buck to get to 500? My thoughts are a 402 with 10:1 or 11:1 compression with a 102 mm intake & tb. Probably would have to throw a little juice at it too but would like to get as close as possible without any power adders. I already have all the bolt-on's. I know I'm going to have to upgrade the rear end and suspension. Just need some advice.

Honda North American Corporate Headquarters moving to Marysville
GilbWs6 replied to Aaron's topic in Passing Lane
Honda Marysville just had a party when this news broke. Nothing like being HQ's home dealer. -
He can't handle that for you. If you pay him that money, you're not likely to get it back. Pay him the $3,200 and let him hand you the signed over title. Best place to do the transaction is at a car dealership. If you know someone that works for one, do it there. Should be a notary around during all showroom hours and someone in the place should be courteous enough to help you out. I've notarized >100 titles for people that aren't buying cars from us and never charged anyone. One guy was cool enough to go get a six pack at the gas station.

How much do most car dealers charge for documents fees??
GilbWs6 replied to mustangman2011's topic in Passing Lane
Fees line of a DMS screen(depending on the DMS) will lump them all together. Doc fee is taxable. Title, license, registration fees, are not taxable as they are state fees and go to the BMV. -

Having dealt with me on your Grand Prix that I bought, you should know that I'm easy to deal with. Our new car department (the one that I oversee) sells more Buick/GMC product that any other dealer in the state. We do it by being fair and transparent. Educated shoppers are my best friend. If I have the ability to discount the doc fee out of the selling price and it's a bone of contention for the deal, I'll do it. It's when uneducated people act like hard asses that I'll tell them it's their right to shop somewhere for a better deal. BTW I'd never use the word "Eat a dick" to a customer. Also, I can't change the buyers order after you leave, you have sign it and that's the way it stands. This This Ding Ding Ding -

Negotiate all you want but it's something that we don't change for any deal. Dealerships must be consistent in what they charge. If we charge 10 people $250 and 5 $75, the people we charged $250 can sue if they feel the urge and found an attorney willing to do it. Either negotiate a $250 less selling price or EAD. Not worth us getting in a compliance suit over. I've paid it every time I've bought a car. I also pencil my own deal
