Oh and it doesnt have a speed limit because the Germans take driving seriously. You dont get in the left lane unless you are passing, period no excuses, I've also heard that they are very serious about about equipment violations ie if you have an accident going 180mph and they find out that your tires were not rated for that speed your ass is grass that is if you lived through the wreck in the first place. Driving in Germany was one of the most pleasurable experiences of my life. -

The autobahn was way before I-70 and it was and still is used for military operations ie flying aircraft off of it. The same thing can be done with our highways because there is a plan in place but as far as I know it's never been done. They also used to use the autobahn for their "Bonneville salt flats" Heres a video of planes flying off of the autobahn: -
Damn that is a good deal, I've been running this same bulb for a while now and they produce excellent light and I've never had one problem with them. Even the one I have in a closet that the glass is broken on still works just fine. The globe is glass on these but it has a coating of rubber over it so other than being able to see the broken glass under the rubber it still works just fine.

Best buy offering 100 off of new computer tomorrow!
buelliganx1 replied to Exodus's topic in Dumpster
Not so fast smokey, read the fine print at the bottom that the Stringtown rd Best buy was more than happy to point out to me. "Not all devices eligible for trade in" they told me they would give me $25 for my working Toshiba laptop, I declined their offer. -
I've owned my Google Nexus since they first came out, works fine for everything I need it to. Seems well built, doesn't feel cheap and holds a charge for quite a while.

Want to build a daily hyper miler, help me chose a platform

Well this has 2 wheels not for but it is capable of 470mpg http://www.craigvetter.com/pages/470MPG/high%20mileage%20fairing.html -
Most people that talk down about Buells know little to nothing about them. I've owned 2 a 1999 X-1 lightning and a 2006 XB12X Ulysses. The Ulysses way way more comfortable and never gave me any problems at all. The problems that the X-1 gave me were my fault for not thinking things through. I would suspect that the Xb12ss would have the same wind resistance problems your trying to avoid. You might try one of the newer water cooled Buells although I've never personally ridden one so I cant really comment on them.

That is why I think the prices of late 70's and 80's cars is going to start to rise. They arent bad looking cars if you do a little restyling to them and if you add some power to their smog choked engine bays they are fun to drive too. Also guys like me that are quickly becoming "old guys" have a connection to these cars. Don't get me wrong I love seeing the old muscle cars like the Shelby mustangs, GM's Yenko and COPO cars. and old Mopars but when I see a 78 Chrysler Cordoba I remember the camping trips, riding to Florida in the back seat, the sound of that 4 bbl carb trying to suck the hood in on that 400 cid big block. Hell I still always have my eyes open for an old Cordoba, between them and my like of Mustang II's you can tell I'm one sick individual. lol

Those cheap little accordion looking things work pretty good food the price.

Don't know anyone who could have done a better job

And anyone want to place a wager on how many of the people that he was speaking to that SHOULD have been listening to him were daydreaming of something else before he was done with his first paragraph? I agree it was an excellent speech but I am sure it fell on deaf ears. -
Maybe he just likes flying, or he flies planes on his simulator that he doesn't get to fly in real life or to places he doesn't get to fly too or he tests his abilities in situations or weather that he doesn't normally get to fly in or maybe he gets online with other online pilots and flies with his friends who knows but it's certainly not illegal or suspicious. If your really that paranoid of flight sims please do not come to my house and look at my flight logs, I'm sure I've got some questionable flight activities saved on there somewhere.

If you were on the plane you wouldn't necessarily know that anything was wrong if the plane was hijacked and you certainly wouldnt be able to just look out the window and see you were going the wrong way. If I remember correctly your cell phone works through a satellite receiver on the plane to link you with your service provider, if you had the capabilities or knowledge on how to turn off the transponders and anything else that ping'd back data to the ground you would certainly be able to turn that off too.

I think in about 5 months you will be able to purchase Chinese made 777's on ebay for 1/4 of what Boeing sells them for. Or I guess that would be a 七七七

You guys still seem to be breaking this down into a dem/rep, conservative/liberal argument. You statement should read "The government is going to run a political train on us civilians of epic levels" But then they already are and they have us focused on the rep/dem rival while they all laugh their asses off all the way to the bank.

Do you know if they are acorn style lug nuts? It looks like the bolt pattern is the same but your studs are 9/16" while mine are 1/2". I wouldnt be to worried about that if it's an acorn style lug. -
This car just made me giggle like a little girl. Man that thing would be fun to take a spin in.

buelliganx1 replied to spankis's topic in LBTS GLWS
Hmm if I can verify that these will fit a 1990 Dodge 3/4 ton with 8 lugs I'll take them. I don't see any reason why they wouldnt but I want to make sure that Dodge didnt change the bolt pattern by 1/4" or some crazy shit like that. -
Do you still have these wheels?
-
Mods please lock this up, I don't need to sell it bad enough and have to much going on right now to sell it anyways.

In that first pic the ice looks like plastic, almost like Saran wrap that's crazy.

If it's making a grinding sound are you sure that you put it back together right? It's pretty easy on some designs to get things swapped around.

I never have figured out how the human population has grown to the size that it has with all these safety rules being such a recent thing. I remember getting yelled at for trying to lay up in the back package tray, I also remember stabbing myself in the tongue with a tooth pick because dad didn't give me a heads up before he "checked the brakes" and I wasn't strapped in, they felt funny he said. Well I don't know about the brakes but my tongue sure feels funny now.

I'm getting ready to replace both injectors on my 1990 Ram with TBI. I've found eleventy billion videos of how to do this on a GM TBI but nothing for a Dodge. I've done an injector replacement on a GM TBI before and assume it's fairly similar I'm just looking for someplace on the web to see a quick rundown to make sure there are no gotcha's that I'm unaware of.
