I don't think the fan is the issue. I think the head gaskets are blown and the car is overheating.

The dash is out of a GT. The LX dash does not have a marked fog light switch because LX cars did not come with fog lights.

True. It's easy to swap a V8 and a 8.8 rear in these cars. The vin will tell you for sure. One thing I noticed is that it doesn't have 5.0 emblems on the sides. But yet again the car looks repainted so they might have been taken off.
