Short answer: No.
ok
One recently arrived to Beyers imports.
seems kind of steep in price.
http://www.byersimports.com/used/Audi/2005-Audi-A4-9bd359110a0d0649010209bed32dc67e.htm
That fully loaded 2007 has same miles and more features for 1k less at 14900.

This guy did say one more thing.... "The carfax shows no problems but there is a small blemish in the clearcoat behind the rear door. I suspect it was touched up at some point but all body panels and glass are original so nothing serious."
-
Should I look at any A6s?
2.7T?
-
Ask jones about the v8 s4s if you want, but this serves as your warning!
The s4 is a bit to hard on parts, has v ery little room to work on them and if something should go wrong, and is too costly to mod/maintain and the possibility of major failure and or high dollar repairs would make them a non option for me.
Ok I will quit dreaming and stick to my requirements .
Any other sites I should look at?
Searchtempest and the sites it uses.
Autotrader
Cars.com
Vehix
Ebay
vwvortex
Audizine
Yahoo autos

Hmmm too good to be true?

If you are still considering this car, I would get details on what this means. Did they replace the follower? just have it inspected? replace pump? cam? etc.
This might not mean anything more than an inspection, which I would still do myself to make 100% sure.
Follower and pump.
Although I need to see receipts.
Is that auto assets place he had it serviced at reputable?
-
If I were to do it all over again, I'd go straight to APR stage2+
First: get latest PCV & Diverter valve installed, then:
1. Apr Flash
2. Test pipe
3. APR FSI Pump
The closest APR dealer (TC Kline) is 1 minute off the highway in Hilliard (cemetery rd)
thanks for the info!
Will that still keep MPG high like stage 1 appears to?
How much does that all cost approximately to do to stage2+?
OK PLEASE FIND ME ONE
I wish this guy would call or email me back!

Technically, yes.
However, I doubt this car is still in warranty. Do they have the original "in service" date ?
My A4 has been chipped it's entire life with no issues. Unless you are a tool, the dealer really wont' care either. Most of them can be switched back to "stock" programming depending on what options were bought with it.
In all honesty, I wouldn't drive an A4 without a chip either, totally boring.
what chip do u recommend?
Audi said there is a 10th year 120k mile camshaft warranty.
More info on the 2007:
>> Thanks for your interest. Audi now recommends timing belt at 105k for the 2.0t, so it has not been done. They Do recommend a high pressure fuel pump and cam follower as these cause major problems. This has been done. >>> >>> Service has been completed by Auto Assets in Powell which is a very good Porsche Audi service center. I just had them go through it to check everything out.

Ok I am not in a hurry when it comes down to it.
This is a great deal for a 2007. I guess I can try to get them down in price.
They said the dealer offered them 14k.
They plan to list for 14900 soon.
"It is loaded. The only option that I know of that it does not have is the s- line spoiler pkg. it does have one aftermarket upgrade and that is giac tuning. It makes a huge difference with the 2.0. After owning four S4's, I don't think I could drive a 2.0 without it...it makes that big of a difference."
Does the giac tune void the warranty?
-
dont compromise, wait for the right car. You will find it. If you get anything than your #1 choice, you will always wonder, what if...
The A4s are very common, just keep searching, looking and jump on one you feel comfortable with.

My wife just got a new company car, so the Audi has to go. It has 86k highway miles, but you would never know it. Recently serviced and absolutely no problems. New tires just installed and it is ready for winter with Quattro all wheel drive. The manual 6-speed shifts perfectly and the 2.0T delivers 33MPG on the highway. Loaded with all options including premium leather, factory navigation, satellite radio, automatic wipers, cold weather package, etc. etc. It is a great car and we hate to let it go, but can't justify keeping it around. We are in New Albany and can show the vehicle any time this weekend... Please email using the link above .
$15,900 or best offer

Yes, I just saw that. My bad but if you are not firm on XWD, a FWD one will be in the price range.
firm on AWD
oooooops cell phone spell check!
-
That looks awesome, I like it.
What about a Saab 9-3? You can get them with XWD and a manual. Mine is FWD and 2.0T. Been awesome to me, 60,000 hard miles on it (now at 104,000 miles) and all it needed was new front springs (covered under recall) and that's it.
Nice finde me one please!
-
This seems promising if they would go down in price.

Although it is an 2006.....
carfax seems a little interesting.
"Front bumper fascia replaced"
I am better off trying to negotiate on the one in cincy?

UBER rare car.
Avant, 6 speed, S-line, All options...
And, it's CPO!
Awd? Probably out of my price?
-
Ok find me a good one then!
-
Yeah, stick to B7's. You don't want to look dated!
Sell me your B7 and get a new one.
-
Nice! I do check there. No wagons for me. I do want to stick with B7. Please help me find one around 80k
-
A little more miles....
a little closer to cbus....
a little more expensive....
Thoughts?
-
That'll happen...
Gotta jump on deals sometimes.
let me know if you find any I should consider.
That car was not listed long at all.
Love to find one around 80k and timing belt etc done.
-
called to put deposit on it.....
...they just sold it.
bummed.

The first quartz gray one is just as nice with a blck interior, for cheaper, am I missing something on this last one?
thanks once again!
it has navigation with glovebox 6-Disc CD Changer

I called Audi to confirm packages and sticker on the 2nd one...

It is pretty much fully loaded minus nav, rear side airbags, and TPMS

-Sport Pkg
-Premium Pkg
-Lighting Pkg
-Xm Audio Pkg -Inc: Bose Premium Sound System
-Headlight Washers
It is covered under the 10yr/120k camshaft wear warranty and limited corrosion for 12 years.

They said they are doing the timing belt and other required maintenance as we speak.
She will call me back Wednesday.
Should I ask for any other info?
Should I get pics of the camshaft follower etc?
What price would be a good price if they don't take 11k?
I think I am ready to pull the trigger on this.
They will deliver to Columbus for $200.
-
The second one seems to be the best of the 3 imo. still has some cam warranty left, looks stock and in really good shape. It has xenons, bose, premium package (rain sensing wipers, auto dim rear view morrors, power folding mirrors, etc) ps quartz gray is a sweet color, offer 11k and enjoy! Pps, make sure you do timing belt and cam follower if they haven't been done though.
I appreciate the responses.
What doesn't this car have besides nav?
Do you know a good site to understand all of the factory package/options etc?
Wow this is nice, but out of range also. Price and distance to NJ.
-
I really have my heart set on a B7 2.0T FSI.
It will probably be too difficult to make sure things are in good condition if the car is not local.
This guy just lowered to 9k in Massachusetts.

I have found a few vw/audi forums. What do you recommend?
both audizine and vw vortex seem full of info...
EDIT:
This weighs in just a little over my limit:
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?listingId=77893052
EDIT2:
This guy will take 13K, just missing HIDs, but has lots of other perks instead....

Mike, if you want something a little more upscale get the 2.0L A4. Maintenance is expensive, but I've got 125k miles on my Passat and was able to do nearly all of the work myself for anything that came up (with the help of CR folk). I have a V6 FWD 5-speed combo, and if I could've changed anything I would've gotten the 4-cyl.
Are you saying the Legacy GT was NOT well-reviewed by C&D??? I really like those cars as well...
ALL: I appreciate the responses.
I'd like to hear from jones!
Please let me know if you see any deals!!!!
Clay:
I've really been looking at the B7 A4s with the 2.0T.
I do like the better MPG it has over the V6
Found some good deals within a few states....
Lots in NY/NJ/New England area.
Here is the review I read on the 2005 Legacy GT.
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2005-subaru-legacy-25gt-limited-long-term-road-test
I've also read about wheel bearing issues being a pain.
Maybe they worked out the kinks for 2006-2007?
-
The Maximas have been gone for almost a year.
I've been driving the 1997 ford taurus beater.
I have approval from my wife to look for a newer car, around 10-12k.
I really want:
-a fully loaded car (not a cross-over/SUV/truck)
-manual transmission
-All Wheel Drive
-Xenon HID headlights ( I know these can be added aftermarket, prefer factory installed)
I am looking at midsize, so thinking legacy size vs impreza. Maybe I would go for a WRX though!
I think an Audi S4 is totally out of range, plus I want to try to get the best MPG and still AWD.
I've seen some decent deals on B7 A4s in the quattro with 6 speed manual transmissions.
A car and driver article long term test on a 2005 legacy GT, really turned me off those.
I don't think Nissan/Infiinty offered AWD with a MT, so I cannot look there.
Perhaps a BMW 3 series AWD? I don't know! I've been reading and will keep reading.
What are your thoughts????
I've been reading up and looking at 2006ish:
-Audi A4 quattro 2.0T and 3.2
-Subaru Legacy GT
-Mazdapeed6
Let me know if you see any good deals!
Perhaps tell me what to avoid too!
Bummed this guy just sold this, but still left his ad up:
