  1. There are much better turbos for the EVO than the HKS 3037 kit and much better ways to go than building up a stroked motor. And what the hell are all these people discussed in this thread doing to their cars? I'm at 45,000 miles, modded, not babied, stock clutch, tranny, etc. Anyways, back to the subject, I may have missed it. What kind of driving/performance criteria are you looking to meet?
  2. can they pull you over just for that?
  3. Just for the record, there's no 400 HP EVO coming out. That said, if you don't want a WRX or EVO, I've got no advice to give. tongue.gif If you still want a sedan, but neither of those cars, next thing up that meets the standards is indeed the CTS-V.
  4. Tuff it up. I went today without goggles. tongue.gif Even if I did leave after two runs.
  5. This car isn't sold in the U.S. In the U.K, they import their regular UK Spec EVO's and MR's, and then modify them to FQ specs as a UK exclusive kind of thing, and then sell them off the showroom floor like that w/ warranty. And the regular EVO's supposedly run about $65k U.S. currency in the UK, so it's not the biggest increase, but around there it doesn't seem to be as ridiculous because that's what they've been paying. Here they're closer to around 30k even, and I would suppose something like the FQ400 would actually sell for around 45k in the U.S. Still overpriced to some. Hell I'd take a base EVO and put 15 grand in it and drag that thing around for everything its worth, but I guess to those few people who like limited edition things to keep stock, might as well go for that. Not like we'll ever get it in the U.S. anyways. There's an article somewhere and they do a comparison with it against the Pagani Zonda.
  6. I take that back. 440 lb.ft, 447 WHP. tongue.gif
  7. There's an STi coming from Quantum with more tq than whp, both figures in the 400s. I'll see if I can find the dyno thread.
  8. I've got an RC car that'll run anybody on CR and own them, but only till 74 MPH when it tops out. tongue.gif
  9. There's a few STi's coming out of Quantum Racing, one with 447 to the wheels. Could've been him. There's a lot of them running around columbus.
  10. Well if I'm thinking right, on an N/A 240 it would be headers to cat to catback. On a turboed car it would be turbo to downpipe to cat to catback. So the catback and test pipe/cat will fit up but anything before that will be swapped out with a turbo. Also, 2.5" is good for N/A. 3" is better for turboed cars, so you should go ahead and get a 3".
  11. holy shit steve what do you have on your car now? 381Hp!
  12. Read the post before that I said that you need a lot more mods other than just the turbo Im not stupid guys lol Damn if it took only $3500 for 600 id be at least up to 800 to 1000hp graemlins/jerkit.gif Andrew you'd prolly be up to 1500-1800 hp by now at least
  13. Here's the kit. I assume he might be thinking he'll have to get all 650WHP, out of a 650WHP capable setup. web page
  14. He'll make good power with RnR and their kits are cheap. 600 won't happen without other mods with that though. I'm not sure what the exact numbers are but they have some decent output kits for some of the cheaper prices. Then again, you might get what you pay for.
  15. I'm down for a 20-wide race down the center trail. And I'll own you all too. tongue.gif

    New EVO

Did you check the EVO tech section? For EVO's it's a slow site, but there's still a decent number there. There are plenty in the central ohio area and the dayton/cincinnati area as well. Check out Quantum Racing. Mark can basically give you an idea of what you're going to want to use to hit a modding goal. He can supply the parts as well as dyno tune. Only AWD dyno in Ohio. Great service. I think many others who have worked with him can confirm as well. He also specializes in Supras, RX-7's, DSMs, WRX/STi's, and now 350Z's. web page
  17. also you should look at the ATP turbo kits I thinking about a 3037s or 3071 but hell i might go with a gt35 too lol i think the kits start at $2399 and 2699 for the GT 35R externally wastegated
  18. Mark my words, the end is near. An odd series of hurricanes, massive earthquakes, dormant volcanos ready to erupt, flooding spawned from hurricane weather, along with series of tornados. All the signs are pointing in one direction. And Anna Nicole isn't fat anymore. The end is approaching. graemlins/popcorn.gif EDIT: I just happened to read about an asteroid that flew closest to the Earth than one has in a century. It's all adding up. [ 30. 19. You can't hate someone because they're poor. You can hate them for bitching about it enough, expecting it to get better without doing anything to make it happen. Like the people who say they hate rich people. Why? Positive role models who worked hard, got educated, and made a life for themselves? Now if some asshat won the lottery and became instantly rich, go ahead and hate him for who he is. Other than that, get off your ass and spend less time criticizing wealthy people for living with what they worked for, and spend more time actually trying to do something for yourself, rather than waiting for someone to do it for you. Some people can't help it that they are financially where they are. They may have made some bad decisions in the past or whatever. There's not a whole lot wrong with that. Shit happens to everyone. But they also can't sit around and shoot the shit, expecting life to get better, and also shouldn't criticize others for spending the money that is theirs. EDIT: sorry, i don't usually get into these ramblings. I just thought with lots of threads like this floating around, it was a point to be clarified.
