Powers- Right now I've only done one 8 second Mullis dragster, and one 9 second Ford Maverick. Are these mine? No, but I drive them/build/fix them regularly. Considering Sam thinks he knows it all, is the only reason these were brought up. Not a case of me bench racing someone else's car. I'll be doing another low 8 second mono-shock dragster after the 1st of the year and this one will be mine (which I'll show you pics of the metal work being done right now). I don't have any other street vehilcle to show for, being all my money has gone to my apartment/my toolbox and tools/this upcoming dragster. Which isn't too bad considering I don't make very much money right now. So I listed my DD, big deal half the board does it. Someday I'll have a decent "street racer" such as a Mustang, but my focus is elsewhere right now. Sam- When did this turn into a chick pissing match? This is true. Anyone that views the ass end could tell you this is a tube frame car. Still, 1600hp is quite impressive on any engine based level. Scary thing is, this is only the first full pass this car has made and there is still some left.

I would look elsewhere other than Bose. Although it does sound very good in my Envoy, I wouldn't use them for home audio. I did shell out $300 for my Pioneer home system (5 disk dvd, 5 speakers), and for $300 it sounds good and looks pimp imo. Sounds alot better than some of the $600 systems I thought I was going to use at my apartment.

Got a 92 Ford F-150 with 87K miles, I-6, 2wd, auto, pw, pl, matching truck cap. Original owner, truck needs nothing, just has some minor rust above rear wheels on bed. $2900

I'm helping/running my dad's used car lot and the guy who has been working for him has recently quit before he got fired. Dad runs a service shop and this is just basically an on the side business for him, so he hasn't kept a close eye on things on the used car side. Well, there are quite a few buy here pay here's out right now to where these people stopped paying oh...about 8 months ago, some worse some more minor and the old used car guy just kind of let it happen. So now I'm having to try and track people down and I'm having no luck or leads based on past info here. I do have all SSN #'s for these customers, just bad phone #'s or old addresses. Does anyone here have any ideas on how I can find these people before issuing a useless stolen car claim? Any websites or people you guys know that would make this process any easier or possible for me to find these crooks? I know that we have a few cops on here, but I'm not sure this would really be in their field of work (correct me if I'm wrong there). Any ideas or help is welcome.

I don't do full-time service work anymore, but I can tell you that I wouldn't go to Audi and deal with those cars for an extra $7/hr. Not worth it. I know I'm not the only mechanic who feels that way so that's why we don't go there and "make more money." There is a reason they make that much at Audi and BMW, because labor rate is up on those makes and the parts mark-up is easier to do. Most of your parts are dealer only parts, so you the retail guy will pay whatever the dealership charges you for that part. Makes it alot easier to pay those less qualified mechanics that dollar amount just to get them to come there and work on those headache cars.

Little update since the funeral: Yeah he was a youth minister at his church. Ben, Lenny doesn't ring a bell. His family is huge, so it's hard to say. Yeah there was easily 400+ at the funeral, man was it tough. Especially when you see old F-ball coaches there crying. His cousin Marvin was our DB coach at Heights, me and him were pretty close so seeing him there didn't make it easier. Get this, he shot him over GOSPEL music! Then after getting unloaded on, AJ's friend came back to check on him and that's when the guy came back out with a shotgun and started shooting again. Marvin and family talked in person with the Antonio guys' parents and the uncle was like "That's what he gets for fucking around." Un-fucking real. Crazy thing is, is that AJ (sadly) has ALOT of family and family friends already in jail for life and the jail "ring" as Marvin said already knows about the situation. Word is, this guy won't live much longer than a year no matter what jail he gets sent to. Because they have people in all of them. Exact words from AJ's cousin who's doing life, "Our ring will hump him till he dies." Guy is getting what's been coming to him for shooting AJ. Still doesn't change anything, but it's nice to know.

Ya know, usually I don't get on here and make posts like this to get everyone's attention. But I can't help it and can't believe it happened like this. Just unreal. This is a guy I grew up with since 1st grade and played football with since 7th grade until we graduated. Nicest guy, that would do anything for anyone. We recently started lifting again together just a couple weeks ago (he was a pretty big guy eventhough he was 5'6"). Anyway, then link below doesn't tell the whole story. Basically AJ lived in an apartment above this guy in the complex. Him and AJ had words a few months ago because he said AJ "walked too heavy" and listened to his tv too loud. Which I don't think was the case either way. So he and another friend were outside cleaning his car listening to music and this guy comes out of his apartment and tells them to shut it off. AJ tells him no, to leave him alone and go back inside. So the guy goes inside, gets a revolver and walks up to the back of him and shots AJ in the back of the head while he was cleaning the bottom of his dash with no warning. AJ's friend then runs from the car as the guy shoot's him in the arm while unloading the gun. Then the guy goes back inside and gets a rifle out and starts shooting at AJ's friend again (missing). Goes back inside to change his shirt because of the blood, then comes out to cops waiting for him. Neighbor called it in. I'm still in shock right now, and have no words to describe what's happened. AJ did do one thing though, and that's bring me and about 7 friends back together after not really talking/hanging out since we've graduated in '01. So if you've ever thought about calling a friend that you haven't talked to or seen in awhile, I suggest you do it. The person on the other end will be glad you did and even more so when you go and hang out again. If you don't call them, something similar to AJ's situation may happen and your always going to question the decision you made to not call them. Just a thought.
