  3. I didn't get much experience modeling flow post turbine, but did get a touch of experience working on modeling Pre TC catalyst emissions data. Most engineering circles consider the turbine (or compressor) is the definite hard point for any sort of acoustics. I think the same 99.8% of engineers agree that while pulses may still exists, they are so out of phase, garbled together, their sum becomes kind of pointless post turbine as nothing is in phase -- there is no solid pressure peaks/waves and the negative pressure areas behind them. Most turbos have a diffuser built into the exducer. If you've ever seen the flow mapped from a radial turbine, its going everywhere, at different velocities. The idea of "X"ing the banks intrigues me, although I would think it would only be acoustical in nature. Has anyone asked UGR if they have any rhyme or reason to it? A string of pressure sensors with a quick logger would be neat to see.

  7. I honostly like the IPOD OEM headphonse. Plugged into my archaic Sansa Fuze, there were able to match the engine noise in a beat ass C130.
  8. I've never seen UGR's setup, so, I would say so. Wealthy men (or women) don't usually surround themselves with dumb people. Engineers' can get their ego attached to an idea, and even if that idea doesn't turn out to be correct or is disproven with data, sometimes the ego dies hard with it. I'm honostly interested in the theory, just need to le`google the setup.
  9. Can you put this in retard for me; what I'm getting from this: after the turbos, there is an X intersection in the exhaust and it is extremely close to a down turn that air will back feed into a failing turbo?

  13. You know, Westmoreland made all of us officers write our own obituaries during Tet, when we thought The Cong were gonna end it all right there. And, once we clued into the fact that life is finite, the thought of losing it didn't scare us anymore. The end comes no matter what, the only thing that matters is how do you wanna go out, on your feet or on your knees? I bring that lesson to you. I act, knowing that someday this will end, no matter what. You should do the same.

  19. The original plan was to look for a beater and take out a loan and repay the entire amount next day. I decided to buy my M as cash as I didn't want to be paying for something that I rarely drive. I have a few store cards and visa/mc/amex that I may dust off and start using
