  1. Shouldn't be a problem, keep the sensor between 11 and 2 oclock, 10 and 3 in worst case. Don't use a solder connection on the signal wires if you're extending the harness.
  2. I never said he had to find it emperically, all of the data needed is in the logs..
  3. I'm guessing they'll recycle some of the code....
  4. I see what you did there.....
  5. Don't forget the star chamber......white cloth test.....wooooo
  6. A small town in southern Indy was literally wiped off the map. We went hiking down south yesterday at Cliffty Falls; there was insulation and siding stuck in the trees. The storms tore the small towns along 65 a new one.
  7. Most likely because of the drive power, VTG turbos carry an amazing BSFC.
  8. That is "compounding". :masturboy:

  10. I see it as brilliant engineering, which is often incredibly complex theories made viable and simple. I'm sure vairable cam timing, lift, electronic throttle control, etc etc were all thought of as a blanket of complexity for a simply task, but yet they've revolutionized the industry. Hell....one turbo is complex enough, add VTG and three of them....good lord...amazing.
  11. You mean the 650whp on an untouched N54/55 problems? :gabe:
  12. Notice turbos feeding turbos, this is technically a "qasi-register compound system" Keep in mind this is a diesel....

  14. James, I'm going to PM you contact information of a good friend that is a hugggee bench rest .50 shooter. He is my go to guy when it comes to going the distance and if there's anything you have questions on, he would most likely have an answer.
  15. You can find a decent M99 single shot for low 3's.
  16. I'm not against 50 AR uppers, but I think the selling point of just switching an upper is a tad misleading. Most hammer/trigger groups will need to be swapped out and pin wear may be a problem if you plan on keep it for a few years. My brother has a Bohica with a steel lower....which ended up costing about the same as an M99 single shot.
  17. There is not one person in the industry I trust more then you Brian, and that's coming from a degreed engineer and fellow tuner. You're an expert at your trade, but most importantly, I can always count on your choices having a strong moral basis. If you are in doubt, you ask; if something is FUBAR, you fix it. I take your judgement as my own.
  18. I'd honostly look into building on a McMillan action (shell holder short actions are probably the cheapest if you don't mind taking the bolt out to load) using a Fisher barrel (no reaming required on McMillan actions) and bedding it in one of McMillan's stocks with a 700 series trigger. Should be able to pull it off around 2,000$
