  1. I totally believe the fix for this will be multi-faceted. We ALWAYS focus on the gun. ALWAYS. Both sides are guilty of this. Let's fix everything, STARTING WITH THE ROOT CAUSE. These fuckheads didn't suddenly become crazy when they saw a firearm, they were crazy beforehand. I think the 'not one inch' thing is there because gun owners continue to give and give with no end in sight. What's the end goal? At what point will the anti-gun crowd be satisfied? The answer is never, which is why the pro-gun folks take such a hard stance on giving nothing. There is no 'end' in sight. Everything is common sense to them. Common sense to them is no guns at all, they just won't say it out loud.
  2. To some degree, yes. Does it stop it? No. Does it make it harder? Yes. Does heroin restriction seem to be working?
  3. I wouldn't know what anyone's position is these days as wishy-washy as people and partys seem to be.
  4. A sick mind at 18 is probably still gonna be a sick mind at 21. Let's fix that. I'm still of the opinion that if you can join the military at 18 and die for your country, you should be able to do everything else at that age. At 18, you're considered an adult and with that comes adult responsibilities. Make it 18 for everything. If we've decided that 21 is the new age of adulthood, then make it 21 for everything. I fail to see how you can be responsible for some things at one age, but not other things. You're either a grown up, or you are not; or your mind is sick and your age really doesn't matter.
  5. Then why aren't we going after everything? Ban everything. I hear all this rhetoric about assault weapons, and magazine capacity, and devices that make you fire faster; so we reduce the amount of dead kids, but we still have dead kids. A 30 round magazine might kill 30 kids. Let's reduce that to 10 rounds. So then 10 kids is still OK? My point being, let's address the real issue; the person. Let's get past this nonsense, feel-good legislature that still doesn't address our end goal; no dead kids.
  6. I want to know how many dead children per shooting is acceptable?
  7. Let's be honest with ourselves. That ain't your kid.
  8. I feel like GTO will get it once he has children of his own.
  9. Your skill level does not matter. Everyone starts somewhere and all are welcome. Just be safe, and you'll have a blast.
  10. I dabbled in it back around 2012. It got real expensive, real quick with the amount of practice ammo I was blowing through. And I was damn near common law married to my Dillon 650 from spending so much time with it. I never ran a classifier. I also ran a G34 in Production. Still got all my gear. Someday I wouldn't mind getting back into it, however, I've got too many other hobbies right now that take up most of my time. I found something that REALLY helped me with general gun handling was Steve Andersons Dry firing books. I'd sit down in my basement for hours with a par timer and some 1/4 size USPSA targets on the walls and run drill after drill. If you haven't looked into them, I'd highly recommend them. He works as a gun salesman at Vance's in Obetz now. Good guy to talk to. IIRC, he went from nothing, to Grand Master in like <2yr.
  11. I still think social media has flipped a switch in most of society's brain. How many people do you know that post the dumbest things just for attention? For some reason, people are begging for it these days. I don't get it. I think these fuckheads who do this crave attention or infamy so bad, they're willing to commit any heinous act to get it. Mix in a severe lack of a moral compass, and this is what you get. I'm still not sure how regulating guns is going to fix the root problem. The root problem isn't guns. It's a fucked up head. If I told you that you could be rich but all you had to do was travel 3 blocks down the road to get it, taking everyone's cars away from them probably isn't going to stop you.

  13. The center core crashed 100m off it's mark. Still, it was all very impressive. I was expecting a massive explosion.
  14. I'm hoping there's video of the center core that didn't make the landing. Apparently it hit the water 100m away from the drone ship at 300mph. The shrapnel took out two engines on the drone ship. I bet that was spectacular to see.
  15. Don't waste your time. It was stupid.
  16. Critical care nursing (not your stereotypical floor nursing). You're essentially a mechanic for humans. But I think I might have suggested this to you before. Weren't you scared of blood or something? Anyways, if you think the automotive management world is frustrating, the healthcare world will infuriate you. Regardless, it's a very challenging yet rewarding job.
  17. God I fucking hate them. Why on Earth do we find it necessary to plow the roads in Ohio with the slightest dusting of snow? That shit's gonna melt within 7 days anyways. Buck up and deal with it. But nope. I found myself trying to rake the gravel out of my yard today so the mower won't throw a rock through a window when Spring rolls around. I also find myself contemplating if I should take my truck in for an alignment check after the massive pothole I hit coming home from work the other night. I, again, find myself hating them because I probably look like a drunk with all the bobbing and weaving I was doing on my way to Columbus today in an attempt to dodge all the other new potholes. And for what? So people can drive easier? They wreck anyways. Commerce? It'll recover. But these potholes? I've gotta deal with them for probably the next 3 years, or the shitty patch jobs ODOT or The County will attempt. /rant I'd be curious to see some sort of cost-benefit analysis on what costs taxpayers more; the price to repair the roads + salinization of the environment + whatever else, or the money lost due to accidents + impeded commerce + whatever else.
  18. Ryan, McConnel, Pelosi, Reid, and Feinstein all need to F'n go. Along with probably 40 others. Can some explain why we don't have term limits yet for these career fuckheads?
  19. You should get something that sounds good. :gabe:
  20. The people who actually use their truck for work dont need that feature. Im guessing its for the mall crawlers who block the entire boat ramp in the summer. For fucks sake, I'll never understand what is so difficult about backing a trailer up.
  21. Does either Ford or Ram offer the wireless phone charging that GM does? I have been in the market for a new truck, and I really like the sound of that feature. The ability to throw my phone on the console, charge it, and drive away sounds awfully convenient to me.
  22. Not really. Vets don't get paid shit, especially for the amount of schooling they have to put in. You'd have to do it because you love animals.
