The Roku not running on WiFi, that much I am sure. I don't know if what I just explained in my previous post constitutes it being wired directly to the internet source or not. My router is down by the cable box, which is in the basement. Technically, it's not far from TV/Roku, but it has to travel through a floor, so I'd imagine that creates at least some interference (as far as WiFi is concerned).

I have the Ethernet cable plugged into a box-thing that plugs directly into the outlet. I can't remember what the box-thing is called. But I do vaguely remember that, when I bought it, I was told that this was like basically plugging the Ethernet into the router. Does this make sense? I feel stupid typing it.

I recently bought a Roku (the Roku3, specifically) for streaming video on the TV. It works fine, I really like it, etc. However, here's the issue: when I'm streaming video, it sometimes takes a while for the video to load. This always happens when either I try to fast forward or rewind a video. Like, last night, sometimes it was taking like 2 minutes for it to load up, which was making me want to punch the TV in the face. So, I'm assuming my internet is too slow/weak. I have the option of bumping up the speed of my internet, but I was wondering: how much faster does it need to be? Ideally, I'd like to get rid of the load lag completely. Advice on what I need to tell my internet provider that I need? Also, I have AT&T as my internet/cable provider, if that matters. One more thing, I currently have the Roku hooked up through an Ethernet cable (not through a wireless connection).

This is a brilliant comparison - could not agree more.

Damn, that's impressive for like 17 different reasons. At first I wondered why they were going in reverse, but then I figured it's so if he fell then he wouldn't be at risk of getting run over? (Also, if there's sound to this video and a narrator explains something and makes me look stupid I just want to say that I watched it with sound off.)

I actually really like the looks of these, though I still could do without a chrome helmet. If the chrome was less dark, then maybe I would like it better. As it looks now, it just looks like a piece of sheet metal. Our regular helmets are better looking than the chrome versions, IMHO. For the record, I usually don't like all white unis. Like I always thought Texas' all-whites made them look like they were playing in long-john pajamas. However, I could be coming around.

Absolutely, we'll get this ad nauseum. Then, if Auburn beats Missouri in SECCG, we'll hear it even more. Aaaand, of course, if Missouri beats Auburn, then Missouri will be anointed the next god-like program. Because SEC, of course. I really like Alabama's chances of getting beat. They could easily lose to Auburn or the SECCG game, regardless of who they play. They really don't impress me all that much.

I think Oklahoma State beats Baylor and it isn't even close.
-
They will undoubtedly leapfrog us if they beat Oklahoma State. I don't think they do, though.

I totally feel trolled. Like I kind of know ESPN is doing it yet I still give in and get irate. This is why I know I have a problem.

Florida State killed Maryland. That was a historic beat down, IIRC. BTW, when ESPN showed their graphic on the latest AP poll and had the teams records listed, they ranked Ohio State as 8-0. Um, how about 10-0, idiots?
-
I love how the Florida State fans are just talking major shit. They haven't been relevant for a decade and now the first year they haven't choked away some game they all of sudden can beat the Patriots. The polls are a joke. Wisconsin could easily beat 8 of top 10 teams. Yet they are ranked lower than Fresno State? LOL The hypocrisy over Baylor is ridiculous. I'd love to play Baylor. They are the new Oregon with even less history. We'd smack them all the fuck around. Ohio State is doomed to lose the 3rd spot to Baylor next week if Baylor wins. I think Ok State beats them, though. I also think Bama loses to Auburn. You can count on Missouri choking between now and end of season. LOOK AT ALL DEM SEC TEAMS LURKING. What a racket - it basically guarantees an SEC coup. What bama loses to auburn? Must mean auburn is awesome - let's rank them #3. Oh what's that auburn lost to s Carolina in CG game? Well s Carolina must really be hitting their stride after a few hiccups early in year. Lets rank them #3. Pass me the booze.

Also, someone please ask Jesse Palmer if Stanford "wasn't playing Stanford football" when they lost to USC. Additionally, I'd like to hear a national pundit condemn Baylor for allowing their opponent to score nearly as many points as Ohio State's opponent scored. I mean, what's good for the goose, right? Fuck, I sound like a crazy person. This is what CFB does to me.

Ohio State drops 60 on the road against a poor conference opponent. Result? "Now just how far should Ohio State drop in the polls??" Bama drops all of 20 on the road against a poor conference opponent and wins by a mighty margin of 13 points. Result? "Well, you see, Bama always has that one sleepwalking win." "Well, um, Bama usually doesn't play well against MSU." You have got to love the spin. It could easily be, "Ohio State missing three starters on defense, goes into windy, miserable Memorial Stadium and puts the hammer down against a team that has given them fits the past 15 years."
-
Wags, I'm totally with you. I was livid with how it seemed like Griese and his cohort kept bringing up the whole "Ohio State should drop in polls" topic. OKAY WE GET IT GUYS YOU WANT OHIO STATE TO DROP IN THE POLLS YOU CAN STOP BEING TRANSPARENT NOW. Ohio State goes on road, drops 60 on a team, and people talk about how far they should drop in the polls. WTF is wrong with college football?

This MSU - Nebraska game is good. Michigan State's defense isn't that good, based on what I've seen today. Hyde would be in Heisman discussion if he played first 3 games, IMO. He had a Heisman-like performance today. I heart him. I still hate Illinois. LJ, I was bitching all game about how I hate their stupid stadium. It's always cold and fucking windy there. Shit's weak. Rece Davis annoyed me today in the post-game. Said that Ohio State should be penalized for giving up 35 points. Then he said "Florida State hasn't had any problems this year." Uhh didn't they have some problems with BC??

Please name two that weren't the controversial pass interference call (which, by the way, has been confirmed to have actually been a legitimate call). Also, while you're at it, be sure to remind yourself how Gamble's catch was incorrectly ruled an incompletion, which would have allowed Ohio State to just run out the clock at the end of the game. Similarly, be sure to think about the block in the back that wasn't called during Miami's last punt return. Honestly, I'm interesting in hearing your take on the calls that Ohio State got in that game. Because I can remember there only being one call that mattered that seemed to go Ohio State's way - the aforementioned pass interference call - and the rest seemed like they went against them.
