BTW, it's really difficult to post a picture of yourself on the internet and not get flamed.
If you're ugly, then you're just doomed.
If you look too good, people will get jealous. Also, if you look good, people will just assume you're posting it because you think you look good, and then you're pegged as a narcissistic.
You can't be doing anything that makes you look like you're trying to look good. Think here mirror pictures. Even if you do look good, people will still hate you for it.
Obviously, you can't have anything in the picture that makes you look weird. People will scour ever single pixel of a picture just to spot something potentially embarassing.
If you post a picture with a girl, she should be good looking enough not to be teased, but not so good looking that she's out of your league.
If you are looking at the camera, you must be very careful with your bodylanguage. Hand signals are scrutinized. Make the wrong gesture and you're toast.
Self-deprication usually goes over well in internet photos. It's basically a way of flaming yourself to save others from the opportunity. Sail, minus the wind.
