The SI isn't a slouch as long as you're willing to push it. It's a different beast than the ST which as all that low-midrange torque from the turbo. I did just check Autotrader and they're still low-mid $20s. Wow...... I've seen some Mazdaspeeds that are CPOs pop up on Autotrader. You could always do an extended warranty on it too.

Of course I'm going to recommend a Focus ST. I've got almost 54k on mine and it's been rock solid. I average about 28-29 MPG on my commute and I've gotten 32-33 on the highway with premium. 2015+ Mustangs are also a great choice. Maybe open yourself up to a V6 if your looking at an EcoBoost. Little less expensive and same fun/fuel economy. Could get into a last-gen GT with low miles if you look hard enough. What about a Civic SI or a Mazdaspeed3?

A half-ton can handle that without too much of an issue. Just make sure that whatever truck you get, you leave yourself some room so you don't max it out.

I'll be out for a few with the BMC this year. Finally got one in last year with the ST and had a blast. Hope to do more than that this year if my wife lets me out for the day.

Just saw this on Jalopnik earlier. They had some stupid article about it being a movie based on the Geo Storm. I'll definitely rent it when it comes out. I too love these types of movies. The Day After Tomorrow is one of my favorites. Still haven't seen San Andreas.

The government will never give up the chance to take more of your money. It's annoying, especially being from PA and not having to worry about figuring out a front plate location, but it is what it is. Thankfully there's ways around drilling into your bumper and still staying legal. You can always shove it in the windshield and hope you don't run into a tightwad cop.

Needed a new motor. Got one for $46 and had one of the guys at work put it in for me. Works like a charm now.

Are you talking about on the switch itself or in the door? You can hear and feel each click on the switch with both set up and neither move the window.

Borrowed a new window switch from our body shop. Swapped it out and the window still won't roll down.

I know they've got some good weed out there, but goddamn.....
