  1. Does anyone on here remove stumps or can recommend someone? Removed a tree last Sunday and there's a little stump left. Thanks.
  2. I should clarify. That's what she thinks. That doesn't mean they do, and if two people hate us, we will survive. I appreciate the concern.
  3. That's the plan; Spend $75-100 as good faith and hope to God we were right. I'm not really worried about my neighbor. He sits in his garage most nights and drinks a half a case of Miller Lite, so he probably wrote that message half in the bag. My wife hasn't handled it well, though, since we found out we are pregnant a few weeks ago and its really upset her that all of our neighbors hate us.
  4. Cool. I'm more familiar with the G35s as my dad had an 05 G35x for 5 years.
  5. The wife made him take down the fence the day after we had our meeting.
  6. I wish you the best of luck. I've met very few OSHP officers that weren't asses. I had a response written back to the HOA.... and the neighbor. Wife convinced me otherwise. I had the same feeling when we all met with the board. This pretty much confirms it. I just have to be nice to the board as they were siding with me "off the record", I guess.
  7. Cliff Notes Update: HOA ended up washing their hands of it. Said it was a city matter and that we should split the cost of a survey. We've been trying to find one and they're anywhere from $350-750, so I'll just offer to split 1/4 of it since I'm not going to help him pay for his property to be surveyed. We also have neighbors butting in. My wife got a Facebook message yesterday from the husband on the other side of my neighbor saying we should "be neighborly and let them go ahead and keep it the way it was." I love how people are dictating what I should use my property. Maybe I'll should let him run an extension cord into my house, or let him park his car in my garage too. You know, since we're sharing things now.
  8. Depends on the price. If you can get it dirt cheap, get it and make sure you put in a good transmission cooler. Drive it for a bit and then sell it.
  9. Wife had a screw in the same spot last year. Had it done and no issues since.
  10. That is badass. Might make to a C&C just to see this.
  11. We live by Tuttle in a neighborhood that is Columbus, so we pay less tax, but we have access to Hilliard schools. There's also a neighborhood across the river that is also Columbus, but busses to Dublin schools. It's the best of both worlds to us and we do love our neighborhood despite what's going on right now. The houses aren't insanely expensive either.
  12. He's just taken over the position at the beginning of the year and he seems to be very community-oriented. There seems to be more events going on now, or at least he himself is promoting them. Like, I never knew we had a July 4th party for kids in our park before until he went to every house to drop off a flyer. Wow, that seems like a lot. I checked with the company that did ours before and they're charging 185 according to their website. And I thought I read where they also have to mark anytime the property line bends or is no longer straight.
  13. Update: The HOA president wanted to meet with us last night and discuss the issue. I explained what the problems were and why we had such an issue with it. I explained that we measured and found where we believe the property line was as well as the previous conversation we had back in April about not drilling into our fence. We went back and forth for a bit, so I'll save you from all of that. In the end, the HOA president seem to side with me that I had every right to be upset. He suggested we go ahead and get it surveyed to figure out exactly where the line is. He was going to also check on the easement rules to see about blocking off the access to the boxes. He then said that until this is settled, my neighbor should take down the gate and the easement fencing immediately instead of waiting for this to get figured out. I said that sounds more than fair, but he tried to put up a fight because he was concerned about their dog getting to run around. His wife even told him to take it down right now since the dog can live on it's leash for a while longer. Came home today from work and the fencing is gone. Overall, it went very well and I think he finally got the idea that he's not going to win. Working on finding someone to properly survey and even pin the lines so we can get this wrapped up. I'm open to recommendations if there's any out there.
  14. I don't have a gun. I guess I'll use this post as a preemptive invite to my funeral then. Everyone's welcome. Cash bar.
  15. He is bullying us so he could spend the least amount possible to enclose his yard. He's already pushed the neighbor to retreat behind him about the section of fence he put there because he "doesn't want anymore confrontations." If he had tried to maybe work with us on it instead of dismissing our concerns about OUR property and lying to us as well, we could have worked this out. But the way he thought he could push around a couple of young people because of what he wanted to do is not going to fly with me. I get a fair amount of disrespect at work, and that comes with the job. I don't expect the same when I get home. I am very respectful and mindful of my neighbors, so I expect the same in return.
  16. I just spoke to our real estate agent/family friend about this and he's connecting us with someone to resurvey/repin the property. He also confirmed that my neighbor can't block the easement to the boxes. I'm tempted to just call the city, have them come out for an inspection and tear the fence out themselves.
  17. Absolutely agree. My grass, my responsibility.
  18. He mows his grass twice a week so he's always had area mowed between our properties. He puts up his fence and I'll mow it. Probably add 30 seconds to my mowing time.
  19. Same here. We had tried the one in Pittsburgh a few times in the past and they didn't know anything besides well done. The one here was much better. My mom always made sure to stop there when she was here for lunch or dinner one day.
  20. I think it's hilarious too. The shit my wife says sometimes makes me question if she really grew up in a "Christian house."
  21. We gave him until Sunday to get it figured out and get his shit off my fence. If he doesn't, I have no problem unbolting the gate and taking down his little divider piece. He's got a weiner dog. He'd know it was me.
  22. LOL. There was no tucking. We're a team and she has as much say about this as I do. It's not my fault if you live in the Stone Age. Do you beat your wife if she doesn't have dinner ready right at 6 for you?
  23. I must be the only one who misses Ruth's Chris.
