Like said before with the street racing footage, the Teckademics guys have seemingly no problems with putting the film out there and like Sam said they make great money doing it, they told me the same thing when I was at Nopi as well, hell they should as I own all their films!!

I won't be making this first HPDE but I may come up and watch/ride for a bit. I will be at the next one in July at M/O. I know Ray was talking about doing Road America this year and I'm contemplating it if we don't do a day or so at Nelson.

Anyone ever get a hold of someone at Nelson Ledges?? I've tried contacting them before with no luck. They still have some dates on their site showing available for rent or we could still just see about a group rate for a Funday or piggy-backing with another club. I'd like to go in September or October.

Sounds like it would be a fun project. Even the street racing aspect can be portrayed without legal issues if it's done right and there are plenty of people that participate in many types of racing on here.

My Laser has a cage so ricers automatically think my car has 500hp, should be a fun day. Honestly, from the videos of these shows the models they usually bring are damn hot and may make it worth it!!

The assembly of the car itself built outside of the U.S. border, meaning Mexico, Canada, or anywhere else and it has to be transported into the U.S.

I should be out there most events as usual, I just need to get some new tires for the Laser as the current ones especially on the rear are quite old and dry rotted and have no grip anymore, the damn thing was ass happy as hell at the last event last year.

For me it's simple, not built in the U.S. then it's an import. Most japanese brand cars are more american than american brand cars anymore. The Accord and Civic are great examples, both are built here in Ohio and probably 90% of their parts content is from here in Ohio and the U.S.

<---Ahem...... We have a good region here, a couple of very good lots to run on and some great people to compete with. I know of 1 or 2 people in STS and it has been probably the toughest and most contested classes in the past couple years with lots of great competitors. I believe STS averages 10+ cars per event here. Courses average 40-60 seconds with some at Cooper Stadium over a minute on occasion. We probably average 80-120+ drivers per event but they run things usually quite well and they strive for 5-6 runs per event but it doesn't always happen. It's well worth the trip.
