  1. ^Yeah. the one I drove only had the sight & sound package with the HID's, fog lights, and big stereo. Sticker was $32,8xx. That's about as base as they get I think. The MR with the TSST will likely be the one around $38k. Go drive one, the car leaves a corner like a slingshot.
  2. Anyone here a native indian or something that can do a "sun dance" or something to keep the damn rain away?? Jerry, that's me, my car is having an identity crisis right now!!!
  3. While there is likely some dealer markup the ones I looked at stickered for $31-$32k. I just drove one yesterday while in Virginia, I wasn't able to get on it fully but the thing is a rocket out of the corners.
  4. ^I'm hoping for first heat for once also if the weather plays out like they say. Pat, the n/a mr2's go in CSP, always have.
  5. ^I just got back from virginia with the new one.
  6. This is my dad's truck, he's had it since 97 when it came in early off of a lease. He is the 2nd owner. It has been maintained by a 30 year GM mechanic and has 0 issues and runs excellent. Truck has never been abused, modified, or even driven hard. Details - 1994 GMC Sierra SL Long bed, 2wd, auto, 4.3 V6. 230k miles. Has a/c, full instrument cluster w/digital hvac. It's a pretty basic work truck with vinyl floors, no power options. It has the matching cap, and class 3 hitch. Recent tires, new fuel pump, new plugs/wires and distributor cap and rotor. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a20/ZeroBar78/truck.jpg He is asking $3000 obo. Serious inquires only. PM me for info or if you would like to see the truck.
  7. Andy, fyi - make sure you and your family all get the waiver signed if you show up. If your kid is under 12 they cannot ride in a car and are not allowed in the grid or near where cars are moving per insurance rules. There are plenty of safe areas to stand and watch though. Just thought I'd let you know so you know what to expect.
  8. As tall as I am, I fit surprisingly well in the early cars, leg room goes away until the new models that are out now and they are so-so. A V8 mitat has got to be a ton of fun. All that torque, little weight, and short wheel base = donut monster.
  9. Usually they do. Pat, your the first person I've heard say they havn't transferred.
  10. Andrew, that's me in the dsm. You havnt seen the CP Mustangs yet, they are beasts and can't miss them on the track. You might not be missing anything this weekend as it's supposed to rain again, though it will be about 30 degrees warmer!! Do the drivers school, it will help a lot. Jerry, the really lopey RX7 last year was my friend matt, he was driving the Mirage sunday as his 7 in being rebuilt(surprise, surprise!!), it's a beast of a car making over 400whp though and capable of near 500hp!! Gray, don't be a sissy!! Maybe if you wear those boots with 6in thick heels you could drive with me!! Joe, maybe the points event on the GASS weekend I'll run with you or something, we'll see how money is going. I'd like to drive an E30 as I keep an eye out for one for myself.
  11. The cops here hide, they just have to be visible at some angle. The splits he's referring to are where the center wall widens out leaving enough room for a car to hide, you can't seem them until your past them but they are visible. I agree about other states, in that state up north those fuckers hide in the bushes, at night, with no lights on in UC cars!! Other states have various vehicles to chase you with like Z06 Vettes in Texas!!
  12. Touche!!! Sounds good Gray.
  13. I should have guessed, wonder if he traded the 4g in for that!?!
  14. RWD.......blah blah blah........ :burn:
  15. I'd reccommend using the RSX. It will be a much easier car to drive for both of you than a big HP mustang will that's built for drag. You can switch classes anytime as needed before the event, so when you show up just let them know you have a different car and they will take care of it. The mustang likely would be in SM because of the boost or in CP, either way it's your first time out so it won't matter. Don't worry about being competitive, it doesn't usually happen in a season. As long as the car is in good mechanical shape you can race, we have loaner helmets available. We also have a new novice mentor program and I am a mentor this year to help new people find their way around and what to do on and off the course. I'd reccommend signing up for the OVR drivers school in early may, you will get lots of seat time w/one-on-one instruction. Let me know if you need help with anything, Ben.
  16. I've paid just for the vinyl around $20-$25 since I already have magnets. Double that likely to get the magnetic material I'd say.
  17. Jerry, I can ride with if you like. Don't beat yourself up too much about the timing box, it happens every year and I almost nailed it with the S2000 as I spun across the finish line at the beginning of last year. All it takes is a little flick in the conditions we were in, I drifted out and took out a whole wall almost!! I've been asked to be an instructor at the OVR drivers school this year so I'll be there that saturday, I think it's May 4th or 5th. I'll post it up when it's time but I'm sure you can sign up for it by now.
  18. Damn, new Evo X out there already!! What's the orange Mosler looking car with the gull-wingesque doors??
  19. I'm going to find out about that because I could only make the sunday and that's the points event. Gray, it's a travelling Solo series with a number of veteran drivers I guess. Were hosting one this year so it will supposedly bring in some excellent competition.
  20. :asshole: It gets like that when a car is gutted!!! I noticed the cone marks on my door this morning, I really wailed on those things! Joe, I'm praying for dry weather too. Pat, that's Appearance. Mike usually awnsers the phone(he drives the grey E30 in DSP). I just had someone drop off my magnets to them today.
  21. Yep, the first points event is this coming saturday at Trails!! The autocross is saturday with the last rallycross until September on Sunday @ Trails. Online registration closes on Thursday before the event @ 6pm. Weahter report right now shows a chance for rain but about 70 degrees so it will be a much better day regardless.
  22. Despite the cold and rain I managed to stay dry at least. My old wreck only managed a 57.4 best which I had beat my 3rd run if it weren't for drifting out on turn 3 and taking 3 cones out with my driver door!! AJ, vette looked good and though it may not have the hp of the Camaro it IS a faster car on the track!! Joe, that thing really picked up some speed, you have that car on the right track for sure!!! Mike was there taking pictures today in the morning, they are usually up within a week. He came out even though he wasn't racing and braved the rain and cold so when you see him in his yellow C6 Z06 tell him thanks!!
  23. YJ = Teh fun!! Bump for very clean XJ!!
  24. I prefer not to be rushed, since I don't have to change tires or do anything to the car I plan on being there around 8am. Gives me ample time to check in, tech, and walk the course a couple times. Dress warm and we are likely going to have some sprinkles and such. See you guys in the morning!!
