Handling, cost, brakes aren't easily overwhelmed like the Focus and better looking imo. ^Yup. Nope, the Mustang was traded in, needed the money to make this happen within my budget. Plus the Mustang was in need of some work before I could get on a track again and enjoy it, and I wasn't enjoying it anymore on a normal basis. Ford lists it at 2,742lbs.

Yeah it feels good, and that new car smell!! Also, If I didn't mind voiding the warranty, a simple intake, intercooler, and a Cobb Stage 2 tune = 226whp/272lb-ft tq!!!

It's that purist motorsport guy in me!! Will do. Agreed. $23k with rebates, sticker was $25k as I had all options but the moonroof. Yeah, I wanted Performance Blue until I saw this in the direct sunlight, it's gorgeous!!

Just took delivery tonight of my new Fiesta ST in Molten Orange. Got her with the Recaro seats, Rado Gray wheels, and navigation. Managed to find it withOUT a moonroof which was tough but finally found one. She's my daily right now so only things planned are clear bra, tint, seat covers and a car cover. It's already a hoot to drive and plan to enjoy it for a while then look into some light mods. http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/MrAutoX/10255411_665416080190855_9166951822339564478_o.jpg http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/MrAutoX/966213_665419020190561_3346367823114798690_o.jpg http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/MrAutoX/10275296_665444270188036_7440320293277200717_o.jpg

Jeebus, that's a bit too rich for my blood unless I hit big at craps or something. Looks like a ton of fun though.

I saw a few around, didn't look into it much but you have to figure if they're letting you roam freely in their $300k+ car they have to have some way to keep you in check, wouldn't surprise me if they had some way of knowing. I didn't look into but know they also have a "Dream cruise" type thing where you rent an exotic and you take a scenic cruise around with others doing the same, may look into that for next trip.
-
Also an FYI for the Exotics Racing, I barely fit in the Italia. Can't drive the Lambos with a helmet on, so much any over 6' 2" may not be able to do it(or someone with all their height in their torso like me). Still fun and well worth it, I'd imagine the 2nd trip would be even more fun with having familiarity with the track and such.

That's a nice view from up there JP, we walked through the Cosmopolitan. Didn't stay but I see what you mean about it, def on the list for next visit. We were just so damn tired from everything at the track each day it was tough to get into much in the evenings.....or I'm just getting old.

Yeah the fountains are impressive to say the least, can't imagine the work that has to go into that.
-
Short in-car from Parade laps on Las Vegas Motor Speedway, topped out about 120-125. Thru the tunnel, had to jump on the brakes as security was waiting at the end of the tunnel. The fountains at Bellagio: Pics are coming together, just need to upload and put into an album.

My blood pressure was up there I will say but I wanted to do it, she actually pushes you off a bit as I expect a lot of people clam up standing on that platform, but I was quite excited to jump!! The instructors help to a degree in an unfamiliar car and course, but also so you don't wreck their $300k cars together though traffic was light for me. Can't blame them.

What "really" happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Didn't do anything too crazy and some of the places we went cameras weren't allowed!:masturboy:

You should, wether you gamble or not is irrelevant though I finally got to try craps which was fun. I heard there are some good roads nearby, and you can rent pimp cars to drive them in!! Clean pants for me, damn fun. I wanted to experience "The Fizz" as James May describes it. Also my height, I barely fit in the Italia. I wanted to do the Superleggera also but a Lambo is out for me with a helmet on. I wanted to try the MP4-12C also but it was broke down, which they said happens a lot. Every car they have is a paddle shift, only the Z06 wasn't and you can't drive it. There are 2 guide wires your attached to your travel down and your strapped into a harness which is attached to a cable the full height of the building on a pulley type system up top. Sissy.

This thread may be better off in "Pics and vids", didn't realize I put it in here at first.

I'm back from my first legit Vegas trip(last time I was about 12) and what a blast!! My main reason for going was the 50th birthday party for the Mustang, but you can't go to Vegas and not take in the sights. I'm still sorting through pics and will have some tomorrow but for now I have my in-car video driving the 458 Italia at Exotics racing and my jump off the Stratosphere, highly recommend both of these for any adrenaline junkies like me!! Sky Jump Stratosphere: 458 Italia: - Faster than Jones!!

:lolguy: Good come back.

458 Italia > Chewie

With what I hear they charge I can believe it. Friend of mine who frequents Vegas says the place is top notch, but even with his deep pockets shudders at what he's spent in there.

Joe, all of their cars have flappy paddles which sucks but I can understand why. JP, though I'm staying at the Plaza I plan on being there to sleep only pretty much. Ample strip time planned. I'm single and damn good looking so attractive single women are what I'm after. Do plan on a fancy meal or 2, had lots of suggestions there and the hard part is deciding which one. I saw they just opened that new Ferris wheel, it's in the agenda also. I purchased in-car video for the Italia laps and will get video of my jump also, will have ample pics to share when I get back. Thanks for all the advice everyone and keep it coming if you think of anything.

Just heard about that museum, sounds pretty cool. Hoping to find some time to check out some of these other sites.

Lol, damn. What's a beer cost then?? A dance?
-
Rhino added to the list!! Figure I should check out at least 1 good club while there. I've always wanted to try craps, will have to look into Casino Royale, just so much to do so little time. Hoover Dam is on the way to and from so I'll be hitting that up on the way home likely, were also going to visit some famous junkyard on the way back as well. I'm not even there yet and can see every penny of the budget accounted for lol, oh well, not very often I do this, thanx for the advice!

So much win!! The sound.......:megusta:

Next week I'm headed to Vegas for Ford's 50th birthday party for the Mustang. This will be my first official trip there since I was a kid. Were staying at the Plaza Hotel right in front of Fremont st which looks to be a great location. So far aside from the festivities at the track I've booked some seat time in a 458 Italia at Exotics Racing, and considering the Sky Jump on the Stratosphere. Would love to do the Battlefield Las Vegas but the budget is going fast and I'm not even there yet lol. What are the good places to go and things to see?? What should I stay away from?? Any advice is welcome.
