  1. Wtf steering wheel?? Like the front, not the back. I thought these were rwd??
  2. DOX BOXR?? Congrats on the new ride.
  3. I've been skeptical of these until this last weekend when I watched one keep pace with a friends Shelby GT500 going around Firebird west, and his Shelby rides on coilovers, watts link, Wilwoods all around, 590rwhp. The BRZ wasn't stock either but I doubt it makes more than 220hp. Bigger course would have been different but it was still impressive to see him keeping up. Congrats!!
  4. Not surprising as they had just announced they will be adding an F-35 wing to Luke Air Force base down here and possibly replace the entire F-16 wing and they said they were looking for pilots.
  5. Who cares?? I didn't know either of them, nobody here did, hate to be blase about murder but it happens all the time and nobody notices.
  6. Found a pic of it without the tree........... http://www.autoblog.com/2013/07/03/virs-famed-oak-tree-falls/ Thanx for the links Rich, very cool seeing the track before the rebuild, looks like an abandoned ghost town. The layout is virtually unchanged it seems like, I wonder how long the track had been left to nature? 20-30 years??
  7. Me at Oak Tree, what a shame as that tree was the corner there, you come within 3 feet of it on the track!! http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=316&pictureid=4510
  8. As an experienced driver of normal trucks what they do is quite impressive with that one, far more so that something in a sports car.

    World War Z

Been debating wether to see this as I'm skeptical seeing the previews and read the book which is excellent.
  10. Good sound clip of it, doesn't sound too much different but a bit throatier which means little. Anyone notice the 3rd taillight in the top of the rear window?? Hatchback maybe??
  11. I've always felt Road America would be a great venue as it's size and speed seem suited well to F1, just it looks as though it's very lacking in facilities but that could be remedied. VIR would be incredible for it imo as it's fast, technical, and has a great rhythm. Again lacking in facilities and such. Laguna would be badass as well.
  12. Hoboken isn't the worst but the gap between neighborhood in that whole area is about a hair breadth apart, been to and through many times. Though I've never been to NYC I hear nothing good about it from anyone that has been, except when they leave. Most anywhere > NYC/Jersey.
  13. 3 tracks would be much but I havn't heard anything new about Jersey and am still against it. New York would be ok.......Jersey though the drivers would get mugged on the start line and while the race was on the trucks would be stolen and stripped.
  14. I'm sure this would be years away as they're just now talking about the plans for it, for a lot of you in Ohio it would be out of the way but it's a days drive from most of the southwest(Denver, L.A., Albq). A friend of mine in Tucson says the local government is retarded and couldn't get some deal passed to bring in baseball because they wouldn't put any money into revamping a stadium so who knows, look how long it took the Cooper Stadium deal to go through because of a few cry babies in German village.
  15. http://azstarnet.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/pima-sees-formula-racetrack-in-future/article_1495b160-1302-57d4-a1c0-c7bfd08124fe.html They're at least talking about it and actually want this type of venue to come to Arizona which is half the battle right there. I think the location is great being fairly close to the west coast and Tucson just doesn't get as hot as Phoenix and is far more accessible more of the year like Austin.
  16. Looks like Roosevelt lake. So many great driving roads around here with most not having guard rails and a lot of drivers lacking the skills adds up to a lot of dead people. Happens a lot here.
  17. Some rolling video: Ford also announces the return of the Shelby GT350 and Mach 1: http://mustangsdaily.com/blog/2013/06/19/ford-to-launch-shelby-gt350-model-in-2016-mach-1-returning-as-well/
  18. This!!! 200hp turbo all wheel drive and plan jane looking as can be.
  19. ^Agreed, Ford ha no problem selling lots of 4.0 200hp terds. A 2.5turbo making 250hp in stock form with lots of mod potential I think will be appealing to some. Was just reading Road and Track has reported from a Ford insider that the "Cobra" moniker will be back in lieu of the Shelby for now and they're hinting at an n/a setup as mentioned.
  20. Engine lineup appears to be V6 as the entry level for cost, the Ecoboost from the ST, and the GT 5.0 for now. The 2.5 is expected to be about 250hp, the V6 may go up a bit to 310 or so and the V8 possibly as high as 475. The 5.0 is already setup for direct injection so it may finally be added. I'm sure Shelby will have a version in a couple years and I'm hopeful for another Mach 1.
  21. The only way to make any decent power from a 2v is to forge it and turbo it, even then it still won't match a termi with bolt-ons.
  22. I figured they did, I've seen mustangs, vettes and the like towing small stuff before. Miata guys pull their tire trailers all over the country to track events so it's nothing new, just wasn't sure if they actually tested that on vehicles that the factory says not to tow with.
